So many Spanish and Irish missionaries went all over the world and were rewarded but the churches in Spain and Ireland today are no longer filled as in the past. Go figure. I'm from an Irish backround and a practicing Catholic but my kids and nieces and nephews raised like me and my siblings they just don't have the faith. It puzzles me. Isn't it amazing that today in America we have priests from Africa comming into our parishes and serving us. Was that Gods plan with those early missionaries?

I got sick of the novus ordo mass in the 1980’s. We go to a Traditional Latin Mass not affiliated with the Roman Protestant Church. 80% of American Catholics stopped attending after Vatican 2. One of our local priests was ordained by Bishop Williamson, who was excommunicated by JP2. The CMRI is growing quite well. The churches still have tabernacles and confessionals. By their fruits you shall know them.

Play well, the sacraments will not wipe away your sins. Only the blood of Jesus Christ shed for you on the cross, it paid your sin debt in full. Sacraments are a work an effort to get to God. God came to us through Jesus Christ, the son of the living God. Receive him today, repent and be born again. Read God‘s word. Start with the book of John you will meet Jesus Christ. God‘s word says all our work are as filthy rags. Performing those sacraments will not save you from sin and hell. Only his shed blood.

I am Filipino too and the only problem I saw with that is there are too many vacant seats inside the church however people are staying outside the church which to me is not acceptable. We should be as close to Jesus as possible by going inside the church and listen attentively to every word said in the MASS CELEBRATION. Every word said in MASS has deep meaning from self acknowledgment of our venial sins that we committed that week. Listening attentively to each gospel readings, what do we need to change in our lives from the gospel readings that Sunday and then the consecration prayers which we all need to hear clearly because it is the NEW COVENANT of Jesus and us Catholics. Lastly the last blessings given by the priest to us all to give us energy/ patience and perseverance to stay holy for the whole week until the next Sunday. Every Sunday our venial sins are forgiven from attending mass except for mortal sins that we need to go to confession. I pray all Filipinos will truly be attentive with the MASS because Jesus deserves truly our full attention every MASS. It is our acknowledgment of HIS sacrifice for our sins and HIS LOVE for humanity.

For those who are traditional Roman Catholics, even those who hold the sedevacantist position, I’ve noticed in the U.S. a lot of their churches are full for Mass (for the churches that have their Mass online). I’ve watched the Mass online that was updated by the Second Vatican Council and a lot of those churches in the U.S. are almost empty. A friend of mine goes to the updated Mass in Portland, Oregon, and he complains there usually 5 or 6 other people there. The beautiful Latin Mass brings in many people.

Unfortunately many Filipinos are becoming born again. I feel sad hearing that a lot of my friends became born again. They just do not know the Holy sacraments are the best source of graces from God that will direct us straight to Heaven. I think the church needs to be more honest with its dark history so that it does not shock Catholics when a protestant mentions it to us Catholics. I got shocked myself however the dark history is man made not the Catholic church itself because Jesus promised that the gates of hell will never prevail against the Catholic church. Jesus truly founded our Catholic church and gave us the Sacraments as life eternal giving/ source of graces to humanity to become truly members of the ONE VINE, JESUS BODY on earth which HE HIMSELF FEEDS WITH HIS BODY and waters it with HIS BLOOD. I pray we all Catholics recognize God's wisdom when HE gifted us the SACRAMENTS only found in the Catholic church.

The Novus Ordo mass, the new mass, leads them into the protestant sects. The theology of the new mass is similar to protestantism, minimizing the sacrificial nature of mass and praying as if for a meal (compare the offertories!). The role of the priest is minimized, that of the congregation maximized. This was all deliberate and based on the new doctrines very subtly introduced at Vatican II. I think if we get a wiser pope, these things will be fixed and perhaps the loss of our faithful will begin to stop.

Fr Nebu was a was full of the Holy Spirit and the joy emanated from him. Everyone was taken with him and we were all sorry to say goodbye. I became interested in Nigeria as a result and started reading up on its
history, watching films and I found a treasure trove of liturgical liturgical music on UTube. These countries are the fruit of the missionaries that went to far flung countries to bring the faith. Fr Nebu told me that the attacks on churches and murdering of Catholics is taking place in the northern parts of the country, where Muslims are trying to establish a caliphate. So much for the ‘ religion of peace’
