@@resetsetmefree478 I'm not protestant but I don't think they believe a serial killer goes to heaven. In the catholic doctrine there are huge mistakes such worship of Mary, baptizing the babies and sprinkling water in the face instead of immersion under water. Also the denial that Jesus had brothers is ridiculous, just to claim Mary was virgin her whole life 😅. Also priests who can't get married is a big mistake. And then we know the murders committed by the Popes and all crimes related to Mafia.

@@giuliom3564 I don't understand your connection between the crimes you mention and the mistakes of doctrine. Yes I'm catholic but I don't worship Mary as you love to falsely accuse us of doing. Are you aware than lying is a sin or are you OSAS so you can do whatever you want including being a serial killer? If you really believe that how you live your life has no bearing on salvation then yes even killers can kill if they want to but.idk of any pope who has said that maybe you could show me
And if you are kjv Bible Only then you need to show me the verse that says "thou shalt not baptize babies they are not eligible" if those words are not there then you go by the Bible plus something else for your doctrine
      Also Corinthians 15:6

The peace and calm in my soul both during the experience and when I woke up was like no other. Most places repeat the same pattern, the large cathedrals are dominated by the more "liberal" clergy, with only a few people attending with a very high average age, while communities with more traditional clergy and liturgy have many families with many children. Many traditionally Catholic but very atheist countries, such as the Czech Republic, are no longer experiencing a decline in Catholics or are almost at a standstill , then we may see many of these countries increase the percentage of religious, especially traditional with large families, a true demographic shift. If God wants it, it will happen.

Not Brazilian, Portuguese myself, same language though. Brazil is sadly a mess of their own really. From the largest Catholic population for what might to be now one of the largest Protestant countries on earth, really! They've had a massive conversion rate from Catholic to Protestant from the late 80's to the mid 10's that entirely transformed their religious landscape. You'll see a Protestant Church at really every corner, whatever the form it may have from a little house, a shop transformed for cult purposes, a garage used as a Church, or actually a Church.
Things are now somewhat more complex. As economy develops, Brazil is becoming more secular, perhaps at a rate that would surprise many, not me personally. Most of those Pentecostal Protestant Churches are now very corrupted from the top down. People are leaving in droves, but the Catholic Faith has long ago passed its non returning point...

Despite this people like Pope Francis curtail ordination of traditional priests in France. If Pope Benedict’s rules were left in place Traditionalists mass attendees would surpass Novus Ordo attendees by 2060 assuming current rates of growth and decline remained constant. Probably a reason Cardinal Roche and his ilk want to suppress the traditional liturgy more. Doing so causes some to wonder if they even have the faith themselves?

You are mistaken. This is the sentiment of a lot of people who do not know France and look at it through the prism of television or videos like this. They therefore get a very incomplete image of the country. Same when you are a tourist, as you then usually only visit the big cities like Paris or Marseille where the situation is the worst with the arrival of migrants there.
The truth is that in my 30 years in this world, I have never seen such a renaissance for Christianity, the values of Christianity and such an attachment to the Roman Catholic Church, if not as members, at least as a symbol of our country.
The ranks of the churches at mass start to get filled with young people, especially young men when 10 years ago only old people around 70/80 were seen there. Way more people live openly catholic, probably in response to Islam's presence.
Most importantly, the absolute existential danger of Islam is now understood in the country and the islamic plan to conquer the country is now openly discussed as it was forbidden 10 years ago.
The world changes and contrary to what you'd think, time plays in favor of Christinanity. The islamic wave has paradoxally started a immense response of the younger french who go back to their roots.

distrust of institutions in general has been growing in the world, and catholicism is not just seen as a religion but the catholic church is seen as the most institutionalized version of it, similarly to the distrust of the state or the government distrust hits catholics more than protestants where the very idea is decentralization and self governance

@@fixpontt That's an interesting explanation! I think it's part of it though, what I noticed for example is that many Catholic raised in the NL, in the Catholic majority parts, people have a very limited understanding of who Jesus is, a kid in a crib instead of our saviour. They look at Catholicism more as a culture then a religion that encourages a personal relationship with God.
