Well said. A difficult situation in a liberal Pope.....very slippery slope that can threaten or erode orthodoxy, conservative principles, and traditional meanings in the Catholic faith. Numbers have it that voting Cardinals appointed by Pope Francis could be at least 75% to 80%. One should see clearly how very liberal instructions issued by Pope Francis result in manifestos and opinions of direct opposition from priests and bishops. Unrests like that might not be different even if liberal directives should come from a synod with a majority of liberal Cardinals. The conservatives may be the voice in the mountains that the traditional faithful will listen to and follow.
Kerala in India has emerged as an Indian province providing numerous clerics and a rock of catholic teachings. Perhaps cardinals should take a close look for Asian candidates.

In their eyes, there is no strife or rivalry, Only understanding and friendship. Their hearts overflow with hope and love, And in their authenticity, they are truly blessed. So to those who do not seek power, Their blessing is in being genuine and compassionate, In a world filled with envy and competition, These ordinary souls are truly favored. 🙏❤
We need a pope who will not engage in political issues like our current pope. We need to faithfully follow the scriptures and ignore the temptation to be influenced by the popular issue of the day.
Well, not exactly. Do you think it was wrong for Pope John Paul II to denounce communism? He is credited with expediting the end of that system in Europe. When the faith speaks of justice, a pope is obligated to address unjust political systems.
When the political activities run counter to our Catholic beliefs, I believe that such as communism and abortion should be condemned. We should not stick our finger in the air and move away from scripture for the whim of the day.
Poverty is one of the concerns of christianity. It is tge business of all churches to tackle poverty. Poverty is also a political issue. So bad luck, every pope is going to political.
I do not agree that poverty is a political issue. I don’t see how you can come to that conclusion. Any pope from either the liberal or conservative side would agree that poverty should be addressed and cared for. No questions asked.
@dcbcpa have you ever heard of the term "minimum wage"? That's an attempt to alleviate poverty and it is a very hot political issue in the USA, and was a very hot issue when it was introduced in the UK. Probably everywhere else it's been introduced too. I assume you dislike Marxism- well Marxist theory has it that poverty is the inevitable consequence of capitalism. Conservative politicians assure everyone that "trickle down" economics will cure poverty. It is frankly, delusional to claim poverty is NOT a political issue.

The Catholic Church today is in need of a young and dynamic leader, someone who can inspire and guide the faithful through the challenges of modern times while staying rooted in timeless theological truths. Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle of the Philippines embodies these qualities. Known for his profound humility, deep theological understanding, and ability to connect with people across all walks of life, Cardinal Tagle reflects the kind of leadership that resonates with a world yearning for compassion and authenticity. As a theologian, Cardinal Tagle has consistently emphasized the centrality of God’s mercy and love, echoing the themes of Pope Francis’ papacy while bringing his unique voice as a pastor who understands the struggles of a predominantly Catholic nation like the Philippines. His ability to communicate the faith in a way that is both intellectually robust and emotionally relatable positions him as a potential shepherd who could bridge traditional teachings with the pastoral needs of a diverse and globalized Church. In an era when the Church faces declining numbers in some regions and persecution in others, a leader like Cardinal Tagle, with his youthful energy, cultural sensitivity, and theological depth, could bring fresh vitality and renewed focus on the mission of evangelization.

How does that unite us? I grew up in Latin mass. After a while your ear is accustomed to the words and the meaning. It also allows for deeper reverence during the Celebration of the Mass.
The Novus Ordo mass has always been able to be said in latin. The Tridentine mass is causing more of a divide within the church. Let us heal the division so that the whole church throughout the world will once again be united in faith.

I prefer a reverent Novus Ordo, and occasionally go to Latin Mass, but you are completely wrong about this. IF the Latin Mass is so unifying, how come in every American city in the 1920s, when everyone celebrated Latin Mass the Catholics insisted on having an Irish Church on one corner, a German Church, an Italian Church, and a Polish Church? If the Latin Mass is so unifying, why does the historical record show that all of these distinct ethnic groups to America would not celebrate Mass with anyone who wasn't their people?

In hearts unenslaved by ambition, In hands unthirsty for dominion, In minds untraveled on the quest for thrones, For them, happiness is found in simple love.

Simply you are vying cardinal sarah for pope the proof i have is when the Philippines rooted for tagle tagle cryed and got mad at them
The Catholic Church today is in need of a young and dynamic leader, someone who can inspire and guide the faithful through the challenges of modern times while staying rooted in timeless theological truths.

Non-sence ?
I prefer a reverent Novus Ordo, and occasionally go to Latin Mass, but you are completely wrong about this. IF the Latin Mass is so unifying, how come in every American city in the 1920s, when everyone celebrated Latin Mass the Catholics insisted on having an Irish Church on one corner, a German Church, an Italian Church, and a Polish Church? If the Latin Mass is so unifying, why does the historical record show that all of these distinct ethnic groups to America would not celebrate Mass with anyone who wasn't their people? Literally the only part of these Masses that wasn't in Latin were the homilies. "Unifying" indeed...
