We went to Aruba years ago. We rode a party bus, party boat, rode the submarine, went to a BBQ biker bar, went snorkeling on a catamaran. Won money in the casinos. Had champagne at the lighthouse. It was the best vacation I ever had.
Our favorite was the Alhambra Casino at the Divi Divi Resort
I won $75 on a free plastic chip.

My very first time in Aruba was back in 1985. No one ever heard of Aruba there only 3 hotels, a windmill restaurant and wild goats everywhere to see it now it’s so insane!
I was there in the 80s as well. Wow...what a difference!!!

My wife and I went to Aruba for our honeymoon in 1987.
It was really undeveloped at that time. Still only had 3 hotels.
I did Panama city beach for my honeymoon back in 1984 they only had motels on the beach

My first trip to Aruba was several years ago. We rented a condo at Eagle Beach with a rooftop terrace. We rented a car for a week and went everywhere. Our favorite was Baby Beach. It was breathtaking! Cruise stops since that trip and we rent a car for the day and visit our favorite spots. Enjoy the day!😊

Back in 1969 I chose to sunbath by the pool while everyone else went ashore. Fell asleep for a couple of hours and woke up burnt to a crisp. That night my eyes swelled shut and spent 2 days in the ship medical center. Oh, and Hurricane Camille was churning its way through the Caribbean and while it was far far away from Aruba, the seas were rough everywhere. Only time I’ve been seasick. Could hardly stay in my upper bunk.
I collect Flamingos, and love them. I heard there is a beach in Aruba where the Flamingos just roam around and you can feed them. My dream vacation!!!

Love Aruba. Been there twice : once on a cruise ship and once on a week all-inclusive. Went deep sea fishing on the all-inclusive; caught 4 wahoos! Going again next February again on the Venezia - definitely one of my favorite ports!

Thanks Tony for the walk around of the port in Aruba! We have never been there but this was awesome to watch!
The best part of Aruba is the beach. We rented a car years ago and explored the north side of the island which has an entirely different landscape due to the wind. It was like being on the moon. At that time, local people left their houses completely open and I remember goats running around freely.
I may have to go to one of the beaches for research. I don't really care for beaches. The water is super blue though.
We took a bus tour in Aruba... our guide said all the goats wandering around were named Lucky... lucky they weren't supper!
We absolutely love Aruba. Headed back to Aruba in November on the miracle out of Galveston. We also go to Bonaire and Crystal Rios. It’s a 12 day we’ve done 214 days the last couple years and absolutely love the longer Cruises love watching big guy.❤

We always stay at the hotel near that Marketplace with the Starbucks (the Renaissance), it has a boat ride for guests that goes out to a private island filled with flamingos 🦩 The island is also known as Flamingo Island. Popular with Instagram models. Love that downtown Marketplace and downtown Oranjestad.

We also took a jeep tour with 5 other jeeps around the island , had BBQ and snorkeled. At the biker bar we rode the paddle boats a little drunk.
I visited Aruba many years ago and stayed at an all inclusive resort. I loved the island. Did a lot of exploring on our own, even using the bus system to get around. My favorite thing besides the island's hot sauce was the fact that Aruba uses the same water filtration system as NY, and being from NY, we could drink the water everywhere eithout problems.
1 year ago exactly we were in Aruba for a week at the Renaissance( hotel with the private island). We were first introduced to Aruba on a Celebrity cruise. We rented a car and explored various beaches. Fun, relaxing time. Aruba is a constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The " superfoods" grocery store is a really nice store. Keep your eyes closed when you leave, so many sad, stray hungry dogs.

I go to Aruba every fall with my family. We come from three states and we party hearty. Going on a cruise in January, which also has a stop at Curacao.

OMG Tony, I loved this video. You just take us along like we're right there with you. I was sweaty & tired just watching you. Your stamina & perseverance for a "big boy" is just amazing. You don't seem to huff & puff as much, if you don't mind me saying so. You seem to have so much get up & go...or is it just the quest for LEGO. LOL! My hubby & I were just in Aruba on Legend in Jan "23 & will be there again on Pride this November. We did one of those crazy bus excursions with beach time & walked the port. But you went so much further around town. I knew there were rail tracks at the port but didn't know about the free trolley so thanks for that heads up! Can't wait for the next vlog. Liter to gallon conversion is 3.785 liters equal one gallon. So gasoline would be about $10.06AWG (Aruba Florin), depending the day of your fx conversion. so approximately USD is $5.60 to even $6+ a gallon with the currency exchange rate, as it varies.
Tony~~~You brought back so-so many MEMORIES of the many times we've been to Aruba!! I haven't cruised for 2 years now because of my back, but DARN we really WANT to Cruise at least ONE more time before we call it QUITS!! Our last cruise in 2022 was also Carnival as that was all my son could afford for his family and I told him that was OK, but Carnival is NOT one of our well liked Cruise Ships, but maybe because we're 77 & 78 and it's a "younger" crowd on Carnival. Anyway~~~~Thanks again!

I went to Aruba in 2010 for seven days and I did so much. The shopping was amazing, rode the local bus around the island for $2 round trip, went to the casino, ate fresh red snapper I cooked on the the grill at the resort and took a four hour dinner cruise with a Michael Jackson impersonator. It has been the best experience I’ve ever had so far. I’ve been back to Aruba on a cruise but didn’t get a chance to do much because my scooter broke down but my plan is to go back on another vacation by plane. I ❤️ Aruba!
Couple of tips for people coming in on cruise ships: 1, skip the shops right by the cruise port. Most of the prices can be five to $10 more than the shops just across the street from the cruise port. The best option is the market across the street from the Citgo. Two, Rent-A-Car. It’s much more fun to cruise around Aruba and go where you want, when you want. As for the gas price, that was in Florin; in USD it’s $1.48 per liter.

When my son got married in Aruba we found a Dunkin' down from the Divi Tamarijn and you had to go upstairs to the shop!! That was over 10 years ago!!
Free Laundry is the best loyalty perk personally. Not adverse to doing our laundry either though. But the perk is AWESOME.

We took an island tour with this older lady offering tours. It was amazing! The beach area on the other side of the island is simply beautiful! We noticed there were a lot of hotels there and shopping area and lots of activities to do. I would love to stay there for at least two weeks if not longer

Sounds like Aruba used to be like Anguilla was up until a decade or so ago. Back on our first trip they had 1 main grocery store, a few smaller stores and everything was naturally very expensive: each couple brought a cooler of mostly frozen food so we could cook all our meals at the villa. These villasmwere absolutely gorgeous and the beaches, you could hardly find better anywhere in the world. Well, all that has changed and now you can spend more tourism dollars at the stores, to stock up your villa. It still has goats, dogs and chickens running around freely and I hope it will always be as gorgeous as I remember. As far as I know, cruise ships don't stop in Anguilla, but boy, do they OVERRUN St. Thomas, so if you go there to stay, count on many beaches being packed with cruisers many of the days of your stay...if you rent a condo attached to a beach, those beach chairs will be taken and filled if you dont get to the beach by 10 a.m. or so...maybe there is a routine we weren't aware of, and cruisers deserve their port stops, but because of this situation, I won't go to St. Thomas again.
We spend 3 weeks a year in Aruba. It’s our favorite destination for sun and food. We are on the last of this year’s 3 week stay. Great island.
My favorite port! I hired a personal guide who’s a you tuber that’s a local there. We had authentic food and went to the most unknown popular beaches. My best port experience by far!

Great to see how close everything was to the port. We spent a week on Aruba many years ago I remember it being super windy & not as tropical as other island am sure due to winds but I do remember casinos back then too. Might have to check it out again. Thanks Tony

We were in Aruba last year, I have pictures and memories of those gorgeous pink and turquoise buildings, we had a large basket of fries and two drinks, (complete with the little plastic mermaid hanging from the lip of the glass), at Lucy’s, I sat in the “U” I. The Aruba sign, and we did an excursion on one of the submarines! While on the submarine we saw a chase where schools of small fish were being hunted by larger predator fish. You just brought back so many memories! ❤❤

I love Aruba, i had to work in Aruba for three weeks and fell in love with the friendly Island. The Renaissance is an awesome hotel with its private Island.
I'm in pretty good shape and I couldn't walk all that way in the heat man. Hats off to you bro. I'd be calling an Uber for the way back.
I go to the Marriott Surf Club in Aruba every winter. The weather is great with temperatures in the 80’s. So thankful we bought a timeshare there about 9-10 years ago! I still love to cruise there when I get a chance!

Hi Tony! I sure hope, for your sake, you will be visiting Curaçao! As for the laundry, when you are a 4-star Mariner on HAL, your laundry perk is free, no matter how many bags you send off for cleaning.

We were in Aruba on January 1, 2023. I remember that walk to Starbucks. Ha! And, yes, benches were few and far between. Thanks for sharing so I could relive a great day.

I LUV ARUBA. Been there only 2 x, next year will be 3. It is a reasonable $$$ Island and beautiful and so very friendly.. Next time go to Baby Beach , it is wonderful. Clean facilities , expansive Beach, and free parking , not to mention Beautiful.

I really liked the vibe of Aruba when we stopped in November 2023. We took the free trolley and then did some walking to a local beach near the port and then walked back to the cruise ship after.

The Atlantis Submarine is a actual sub... I took the excursion in Dec 2018 and it was fantastic. We dove to 138 feet, lots of fish and even shipwreccks. Loved Aruba

Carnival Pride has a European motif. I love the mermaids holding up ceilings on the Lido deck and the quiet place to read and relax on deck 2 "The Sunshine Room" hope that's the right name. The wallpaper represents the Victorian era. Ship is small and it has one of the most pleasant crew members.. I guess it's not to everyone's taste,, but that's what I like about it..
