@@Smilefornana That makes sense. I go to Australia a lot for work, and only in Queensland and South Australia can you hold a koala....but the rules are basically the same. I prefer feeding the docile kangaroos at sanctuaries (they lip up the provided food directly from your palm, and their lips are so soft!!!), and my all-time favorite - the wombats!! But now I want to hold a sloth:)
Norwegian and RC dock at a different location in Roatan - there are sloths within WALKING distance of that at a wildlife sanctuary!! $15 got us not only a sloth holding, but a monkey shoulder experience, birds, and on the way back an AMAZING stop at a bar overlooking the water! :) Best Coconut Shrimp I've had in ages! :)
We paid $60 for a 5 hour tour with Routan Travel and Tours that included a two hour island tour, a one hour boat ride in East Bay, and one hour of escorted snorkeling. Yes, i thought that the whole process was worthwhile. They offered a one hour stop to see the sloths and the monkeys for an additional $15 BUT our time was very limited. What sucks about using a 3rd party tour guide is that they make you walk a 1/2 mile from the port to meet them. That was by far the best excursion we have paid for in a Caribbean port. Hopefully, we will gte back to Routan in early January.
I am a member of the ASTM F24 Committee for Amusement Rides and Devices. During our last meeting we were discussing if we needed a specific standards for amusement rides installed on cruise ships. Then the topic came up about the need for a standard that addresses excursions offered by cuisse lines. Though these standards are voluntary consensus standards, it would set the minimum requirements to ensure patron safety while participating in off ship activities provided by the cruise lines. Stay safe Tony!
Long time follower here, and this was my favorite video of all time on your channel! Loved the sloths! I also felt like i was there in Honduras. You have a great sense of humor and keep up the good work!
Hi Tony. First, Danielle is beautiful like her Mother. Nice to be off the ship first! Very cool excursion with all the animals. Oh poor Jenny. I'm with you. I wouldn't want the iguana on me. $89. not a bad price for a ship excursion. Love guy's burgers. It's always fun to follow along on these adventures. As always thank you for all you do. Enjoy the rest of your time with the family. ❤❤
I love the iguanas . We use to raise them along with my boys and you should see the face of people when you go to a drive thru with one on your shoulders . Ziggy and Zaggy were the two that loved to get out of their cage and climb their way up and snuggle up to my shoulders . They also loved the shower , We had a big farmhouse sink with a sprayer and I put them all in there . We had 12 at one time.
Wow! 100k views in 10 Days! That’s fantastic! Thanks for the great video, by the way! You’ve done a great job of providing informative videos and interesting vlogs and developing an audience that enjoys both!
We were on this excursion with you, my friend sent me the video and said she watches your videos and wondered if you were on my ship then watched the video and saw me lol! It was a fun excursion.
We did a similar excursion for a bit cheaper with a third party, $60 a person and our 2 year old was free. The driver also took us into town to buy some local honey for no additional charge. Great experience, would definitely recommend if you're visiting Roatan.
My cousin's wife is from Roatan so the last time I went there (on RC), we didn't actually have to pay for anything because her sister worked for a resort there & another sister cooked Honduran food for us. My godmother actually flies there at least twice a year on her own & went to see the sloths a few times.
We absolutely LOVED AJ's in Roatan! Sloths had been on my bucket list for year and it was worth it to go there and hold them!!! We also went to the same iguana rescue and I got to hold the 35 pound big boy iguana!
Love checking out your videos every day and this one really gave me an insight to a Roatan. As I am doing my first ever cruise on the Carnival Jubilee in April next year it is really good to know and see what is coming up for me. Thank you again for doing this video and all your informative videos.
I'm such a fan of Jenny B. So beautiful and kind, and Danielle is the best part of you both! So beautiful. This makes me want to visit Roatan. So colorful.
Went on similar excursion in Roatan. Loved the sloth and monkeys. Was loving the macaw sitting on my arm until another macaw flew to steal the seeds being fed to the one on my arm. A flurry of feathers and a scratched arm later, I made up my mind for no more animals. I will gaze and look from afar. So, Jenny, I get it about the iguanas.
Did this excursion and we definitely say it was great and we plan to do again. Go to Roatan quite often, because we do Carnival alot. Of all our tours, have done many on 30 cruises, this was good price and great tour. Our sloth was Sidney.
LOVELY video as always! Wow that dock and the area where you met your excursion mini van were WONDERFUL! Some of my cruising experiences lately have included docks that were almost 'industrial' with no shops; no seating at all while waiting - not even bench seating; no canapes to shade us from the sun; and kind of chaotic processes trying to know where to stand and line up for our particular excursions. But your experience with the process, and that lovely area just off the dock; the nice mini van and the places you enjoyed on the excursion were REALLY nice! So glad for all of you! Thanks for showing us the Guy's Burger joint as well! I just wish that some of the excursions didn't require that we be at the meeting point on the dock at approx. 8 a.m. like it seems you experienced. I am not a morning person and to be off the ship and on the dock by 8 is "too early" for me, especially when I ma on vacay! Tee hee. Continue to enjoy! Wishing you all a fabulous time!
I have been to Roatan once, plan to go back. The excursion with the Sloths, Macaws and Iguanas looked very interesting! I would consider doing it when I return. My lunches are more enjoyable because of your videos! ♥
That price seems pretty reasonable considering what you got. That excursion looks like a lot of fun. I wonder what the animals think, though, about being passed around like that.
Loved this video you guys! It's nice when you can show where you are & who you're with. Love the interaction. Hope Jenny can get over her fear of iguana's. ❤ Was nice to still be able to see you in the video. Your advice at the end was priceless.
We went thru a private company and did the same tour and it was cheaper even with the tip. It was like having a personal tour guide of the island and we got extra time where we wanted. Our tour guide even took us to a better beach to chill for a couple hours before going back to the ship. We just had to walk outside the port area up the hill. 2ks adventures tours. They were amazing and we did sloths, chocolate, zipline, and beach. Totally customizable
What a GREAT cruise you are on Tony .....enjoy the bonding time with family and have a great time...Thanks for sharing this with us ....appreciate you ..!!! :D Enjoy!
On my first NCL cruise, we stopped at Roatan. I saw none of this. We docked and were told there had been a mudslide and we couldn't leave the dock area. Some of us got off the ship and went to the tiny strip of shops. Some guys left the area and one got bitten by some random dog and ended up in the med bay. I have a stamp in my passport from Roatan, but not much else.
Been to Cozumel and Belize on a different Carnival ship. Never been to Roatan, other than through your vids, I remember the iguana “attack” in ‘19. Would love to see it personally, thanks for posting a cool excursion
Love the Celebration and loved the Sloth Excursion. We just did Halloween with a 1 million dollar slot tournament. So Much Fun! Headed out again for Thanksgiving. Worth every penny spent!
QUESTION - Was this excursion worth the price?
Yes! Great deal!
Yes!
Yes!
Absolutely
YES!!!! my favorite excursion along with the iguana farm we also went to!
Tony! I love how you rocked back and forth while holding the sloth...just like it was a human baby! Soooo sweet!
I noticed that also. Thought it was so cute.
Went on the same excursion. We were told stand there, no rocking and no patting the sloth’s back - it is not a baby.

Yes! It's a tell tale sign that someone is a parent or has at least done extensive child care.
I learned something interesting on last cruise . MSC is a Italian cruise line that does have a deck 13 but no deck 17. In Italy 17 is a unlucky number
Those monkeys were adorable!!!❤
Danielle reminds me so much of her Mom. Shes definitely mini Jenny💕
She’s pretty great
Loved that excursion last month when I cruised on the Celebration. It was my wifes dream to hug a sloth
Yes 89.00 What well worth it
My son and I went on this Excursion WE LOVED IT

We did this same one in fall of 2021. My kids’ favorite excursion ever! Totally worth the money…although I used onboard credit!
Loved holding the sloths. A must do. It was a great interactive tour where you actually get to hold the animals, not just look at them

Great video Tony! Your daughter is beautiful like her mom! Fun holding the sloth! Making memories with those you love!

Wasn’t this the best excursion ever?
I absolutely love sloths! This excursion is now on my bucket list for sure. Tony, you have such a lovely family. You are indeed blessed!
I loved this vlog! The monkeys and the sloths are adorable! I am glad you got to enjoy a nice excursion with your daughter and her friend.
We did that excursion when we were in Roatan a few years ago. Really enjoyed it.

What cruise is this?!?!
We did this exact excursion when we were in Roatan. So cool and well worth the cost.
This was a great video. Please do more of these types. 😊
It was worth it to me. I loved the fact that you could hold the animals. I was so excited to hold the sloth.

Wonderful video ! Loved the insert of 2019 revisited 👏
Did that excursion in August, loved it!
Oh Jenny! That was horrible and no one got him off your head! Ahhh It was great to see that excursion! Enjoy the cruise!
❤
Have a great day Tony! Thanks for the video!
I was on the Celebration 4 weeks ago tomorrow, but we did the eastern carribbian. Loved Lee the cruise director.
Great to see you two out and about again. Fun stuff, be aware of the iguanas.
Thank you so much for taking us with you!
Sloths are the best, I just love them.
Tony, I liked how you had a sway when you were holding the sloth! Natural baby rock. Thanks for the tour. ❤

I'll be doing this same tour in 3 weeks.
Thanks for giving me an idea what the tour will be like.
I loved this excursion. It was the best. We went to the beach afterwards. Had plenty of time to explore.

What a GREAT cruise you are on Tony .....enjoy the bonding time with family and have a great time...Thanks for sharing this with us ....appreciate you ..!!! :D Enjoy!
I loved this excursion. We were there November of 2022...well worth the cash.

Been there and done that and loved it!! Well worth the price.
I did the exact same excursion my first time to Roatán. Loved it.... I did the magic chair ride back at the port and saw a wild iguana in the trees.
Sloths are amazing creatures. Created for a very specific purpose.
I was a sceptic about this tour, but after doing it, I really enjoyed it and would definitely do it again!!! It's definitely worth the money!!!
Been to Cozumel and Belize on a different Carnival ship. Never been to Roatan, other than through your vids, I remember the iguana “attack” in ‘19. Would love to see it personally, thanks for posting a cool excursion
We did that same excrusion on the Carnival Paradise, thought it was great. Sloths are awesome
We did the island tour that ended on my favorite beach, Tabiana Beach.
I think it is spelled Tabyana
I'm on the Wonder now (nov 2023), tomorrow is Roatan,

Wow such a fun excursion for y'all!! Love the sloths and the monkees!
