Went to Cafe Marily last August when I was in Aruba. It was so good we asked grandma (the cook) to come out from the kitchen so we could give her a hug. Truly a special place. Will definitely go back when I go back to Aruba this September. Thanks for pointing all of these places out.
Hi Hyro, I found your channel a few days ago and I have been binge watching so many of your videos. They are so helpful and awesome! I love the drone footage as well. I am headed to Aruba next month for the first time and I am so excited. I made a google docs with all the beaches and food places I will be going to thanks to you!!!
Visited Aruba in 2019 with my best friend. We went into Oranjestad we found The Pastechi House and had lunch there. It was very affordable. We tried some different pastechi and had some refreshing fresh fruit drinks there too. Loved it! Keep up the great work Hyro! Love your videos!!
Thanks for sharing these restaurants and the bakery in Santa Cruz, I've been to the West Deck, awesome food and drinks..perfect location! Great job with the drone shots of Playa ! Another tip, maybe you can do a video about your favourite spots to buy Sunday BBQ, my favourite is King Ribs in Madiki/Ponton! Cheers, Hyro, can't wait to drink a Balashi!
Thank you too bro, yes the West Deck has a really great location and atmosphere and I love the Huchada. Been meaning to make such a video and think it will happen in the coming weeks after I finish some other projects I am working on. King ribs is a great choice. Saludos y cheers!
Hi Hyro, I will be coming to Aruba for my first time in April or next year, I am very excited and have been binge watching all of your videos!!! I honestly should stop so I don’t spoil everything for myself!.
I like Aruba. My daily breakfast was chicken or tuna pastechi and coffee. Frankly, I never tried any other local food in my 4 years stay. I cooked my own Indian food everyday
I stayed by the superfood mart and can eat at the Daily Fish everyday. Amazing fresh local fish and seafood which you can either take home or have them grill / fry for you. Served simply with french fries and coleslaw, it is exceptional and very affordable!
Great info and video Hyro was in Aruba in January(2022) for only a week. Will definitely come back for a longer period of time and try more of the local foods and drinks looks delicious 🍻
We love the West Deck! and we have enjoyed the sweet treats from Huchada! Anxious to try the Pastechi House and Marily, Thank you Hyro for making these videos!
@@LetsgowithHyro Went to Cafe Marily last week. Wife and I each got the goat stew, and the same two breads as you got (sorry forgot names). The best compliment I can give is the food tastes homemade. Love and pride, like someone's mom (or dad) made it. Great food, and the bill was very reasonable, also. Thanks, Hyro!
This fried bread, called a journey cake, would be filled with meat or fish and devoured between home and the fields. Over time and with the migration of people from all over the Caribbean, the name transformed from “journey” cake to “johnny” cake due to the multitude of accents, dialects and pronunciation of words.
Great video, thanks for sharing. I do plan on visiting later on in 2024. I live in Toronto Canada and it's very cold here at this time. Thank-you for the food tips.❤😊🙏🏻
There is so much good food in Aruba. You have to make another video. My. Favorite was Origin Cafe. Also liked Eduardos beach hut behind Playa Linda hotel.
Anyone who travels or is from certain countries understands the concept of great food coming from some of the "not so great" looking places. I have to add this place to my list 😊 Thanks!
Hi Hyro! Thanks for your amazing videos! My husband and I are going to visit Aruba in October for 4 days. We want to enjoy as much is possible. We like peaceful and quiet places. What would you recommend? Do you recommend to rent a car? We will appreciate your comments😊
I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for so much valuable information on all topics. We are visiting Aruba for the first time January 2023. So excited...
Thank you Hyro for this video, we tried the Keeshi Yena at the West Deck thanks to you and it was delicious!!! All your videos made our stay a success!
@Let's go with Hyro, I am sooo glad that I found your channel! It's been VERY helpful in planning my trip to Aruba in about 2 weeks (it's just a port stop on our cruise, so I am trying to do as many highlights as possible, but can tell I am going to want to come back and stay longer! ;-P) Quick question: In one of your videos you mentioned a "Salt Pond" where the sand/salt?? was sparkly...what is that place called, and where is it please?
Hello Kendra, welcome aboard😊 That salt pond is behind the Malmok houses. It doesn’t really have a name. Google map search Ocean Z and you should be pretty close to it, otherwise its hard to explain😊
Mooie video Hyro. Leuk dat je local food laat zien, ziet er lekker uit!! Bedankt voor de tips. En eten/biertje drinken met je vader ziet er ook gezellig uit. Danki, zo'n video mag je vaker doen 😊
Definitely liked the content. Our first week there we stayed at the great Victoria City hotel and walked past the Pastechi house 5 or 6 times a day without stopping in. Obviously, that was a big mistake. See you next time Pastechi house...
Hello Hyro, I was wondering, what do you think is the best way for a cruiser to experience Aruba? I booked UTVs, but then I watched a video saying you don't recommend that for the landscape and it's got me wanting to cancel. So you have recommendations?
Hello Laura, I think the best way is to rent a car or jeep to drive around. You can get to most places with just a (non 4x4) car except the Natural Pool/Conchi. Jeep's are a lot more comfortable but more importantly a lot safer too.

@@LetsgowithHyro ok sounds good. One more question. I am renting a small car over a jeep as it’s wayyyy cheaper for the 2 weeks I’m there.
