Super Foods doesn’t have the best selection on the island but LISTEN…that homemade mango chicken salad??!!! Babeee! With some Ritz crackers??? Having this in the fridge came in clutch for me and hubby when all the restaurants were closed after hours. It was so good y’all.

This is hands down the BEST Super Food video on RUclips! The croissants are to DIE for!! The cheese selection is also amazing. I love the selection of Dutch and Aruban items because I love eating things I cannot get in the USA when I travel. I’m literally getting off the plane in September and heading directly to Super Food!! Fantastic video, Hyro! 🙂
Folks Wendy is right...I love their croissants, especially the chocolate one OMG so good! Definitely the best selection of cheese on the island. Also trying out stuff you cannot get in your own country is part of what travel is all about isn't it? This is where I do my Food shopping while in Aruba, last time (Sept. 2023) I got BBQ spare ribs cooked to a tee and also Roast chicken that was seasoned well! On the way out I got a glass of fresh squeezed Orange Juice to top my trip! Can't wait to return! Aruba is so progressive with no plastic I love that and I wish that was already happening to that level in the States we need to be working harder. Years ago I bought my friends non plastic shopping bags from this store as gifts they a=were so pretty and I still use mine at home! Thanks for the tour!😍

Oddly enough I love this supermarket so much I was looking for videos about it. I also love the pharmacy and store on the second floor. The cafe is also great and very affordable. Thanks Hyro!

Great video. Being La Cabana owners for many years, the Super Food arrival several years ago was a godsend. When I'm in Aruba, my daily routine includes a morning walk over to get a cappuccino to go. As good as they have in Italy!

Super foods was great, good, cheap lunches so big we saved half for dinner. Also all we needed for breakfast and healthy green juices. Bonus points for freshly made stroopwafels!
Yes it's an all around great place to visit in case you are looking to save some bucks yet still have good quality products & nice portions!

Superfood does have a very good selection of dutch and local products. It is a bit pricey as it is close to 'The Strand' at Palm Beach, Another great video, keep up the good work!!

I love Superfood! Great selection of items to choose from. Strawberry/fruit pastries are amazing. Nice deli. Yes the red and green cheese (wish I knew the name) is delicious. The fruit is always fresh. Josh LOVES the chicken salad. :)

Went to Aruba in 2022 never made it to this store but we are planning on coming back this June also Met Hyro he's really as cool as his videos took pictures and everything

As soon as we checked in to the Marriott on my first trip to ARUBA we hopped in our rental Jeep and went to SUPER FOOD

Was there in April 2021. Good memories. Every person entering had to take a shopping cart to ensure social distancing.
Nice! Things have changed now regarding the restrictions so it's a more relaxed shopping experience now.

Hello, yes they do accept as most places will but it's always good to have some cash as smaller stores etc. don't accept cc or debit cards.
Thanks Hyro! Great to see a thorough video of Superfoods. I’ve heard of a fish market there called “Daily Fish”. Must be a separate entrance to that. They sell a lot of fresh fish and shrimps and also will cook it for you. Do you know about it or where the entrance is?

Thanks Alex. I would not recommend walking to it from the Barcelo (it ain't impossible either). It might be a good 40 minutes.
having been to Aruba a few times now I have discovered many other local grocery stores that have excellent selections and are half the price. This place is a bit tourist trappy
It's indeed always good to "shop around" and be able to compare. Fortunately we do have some good ones and with a different variety of products. The SuperFood does get very busy during the day and some folks don't like that.
I agree shop also at grocery stores out of the beaten path, cheaper at times.
No this is a dutch supermarket everything has to be imported from The netherlands That cost money

I would prefer to shop there for economical and health reasons.

We are from Germany and will be with my parents in Miami in October and then come to Aruba for 2 weeks.
Your videos are a great help for me and my 26 years old son so that we can quickly orient ourselves.
After 2 serious cancers I am no longer so fit and am therefore very, very grateful for your videos, because they give me a wonderful overview and I thus do not have to waste energy.
Now I would like to know if there is also something like a weekly market on Aruba where you can discover and buy fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat etc. ?
And how good are the bus connections to the Super Food Market and beaches and centers, or is it better to rent a car ?

Hi there, sorry I just realized I have not seen your comment yet. It's nice to know/hear about viewers from Germany! Good to know also that my videos are helping with your planning. There used to be a weekly market for that in front of the Royal Plaza mall in Oranjestad but it's nowadays mostly a souvenir market. The reason is that in the past, the boats coming from Venezuela used to bring fresh products and sell them right there with no issues. Because of immigration concerns and possible illegal trafficking they stopped it years ago. There are now smaller markets that sell fruits and vegetables for example, one of the is the "Virgilio" in Oranjestad. It's very small but well known among the locals. Outside the Superfood you will also find a fresh seafood market. Local fishermen sometimes sell their catch along the road or at the pier but there is usually not a set day or time. The bus connections for the places you mentioned are certainly good but renting a car (even if just a small one) will make your life way easier and you will be able to easily explore the rest of the island. Hello Shyam, go for the Divi resorts if you like it quieter or Riu at Palm Beach for the more busy part of Aruba. I know De Palm tours have airport transfers.

Will be there in 7 days and stop at the supermarket on the way to Boca Beach. Any suggestion on what we could get to feed the fish while snorkeling? is that allowed? or advised. This will be our second trip to Aruba. The island makes for happy vacations!
Great to hear! Maybe they sell fish food? Otherwise we used to give them those very small shrimps. I don’t know what else is good but avoid feeding them because who knows it can harm them☺️

The prices are high at Superfood,85% of the grocery we buy,are from a local supermarket,like” Save a Lot”its cheaper,and love it to see locals.
Save a lot is a budget store. So, obviously it would be cheaper! Its like a Lidl or Aldi. More apt comparison would be with Do It Center, which is Aruban owned. Locals are seen in all of the big supermarkets, locals usually have specific things they go to different supermarkets for.
Depends what you are looking for. Save a Lot does not have a lot of the main brands which most of us are used to. The Superfood also offer a lot more variety and is a bigger market. I do understand your concern though, thanks for watching.

It’s a Quesio but has no cheese in it. You can compare it to a flan but it’s normally sweeter.

How far from Casa del Mar
Fairly long walk from Casa del Mar, especially with the heat. In a car though it’s like 5 minutes.
Super Food is in Eagle Beach not Palm Beach.
True, closer to Eagle Beach but it's a quick drive from Palm Beach too😊
It's expensive because Aruba doesn't produce anything. Everything is imported. This is a Dutch supermarket the products are mostly products from the Dutch Jumbo supermarket chain. The prices are more expensive than in the Netherlands Jumbo supermarket. I always buy my groceries online at Jumbo.

How come the milks are not in the fridge?
Milk in carton are common here but we also have fridge milk. Due to the difference in price it's not too popular.
Like in Europe UHT Milk is popular. But they also have the non-UHT milk in fridges like US/Canada.
Why don't they have FRESH LOCAL TROPICAL FRUITS in Aruba?
Not much grows here because of the harsh conditions.
Too dry to grow most fruit.
I dont like Dutch products super food is not my thing. I prefer American and Latin products and Chinese products. Dutch products have no taste. Only thing they really have good is Cheese. Aruba needs a Wall markt store
