Lets face it an Elite Zealot will never just have a plasma rifle, they will always carry a sword or high explosive weapons. A Zealot can definitely take a hunter down 1 on 1. Map choice wasn’t the best, to limited and Elites just die from falling too many times. But overall great matchup
The plasma is surrounding a mineral rod. That can be seen in the lore and also I'm theater mode, if you look close to the fuel rods or other plasma weapons you'll see there's a small bullet-like rod coated by plasma

I have a question do you edit the difficulty of you’re elite am different enemies when doing videos, because the elites shot wayyyy faster when it came to other enemies...
To be honest I don’t blame the elites for losing a lot, there fighting a giant ass armored worms, and only the higher ranking elites did good. But this was good, and the zealot with the energy sword was pretty good
