Having Mike's actor in the beginning almost TOOK ME OUT I was laughing so hard 🤣🤣 what I really appreciate about RRHQ movie commentary is that it's easy to dissect and hate on stuff, but they always go for more of a joking about the material as you would with a family/friend and not necessarily just hating on stuff to be hateful. The reaction to Jacob's howling in the background as Bella and Edward drove away was HILARIOUS and it's such a refreshing atmosphere to have people who watch something to react and enjoy with lighthearted jokes instead of just being critical and hateful. ❤️

I know someone else already explained this but here’s my thoughts. -Leah and Sam Date -Emily is Leah’s cousin -Sam Imprints on Emily -Sam leaves Leah for Emily -Leah is heartbroken, while also struggling with the betrayal of her cousin (who accidentally got hurt by Sam so you also gotta think she was worried for her too) -In my opinion, imprinting doesn’t have to be romantic. So Sam leaving Leah immediately was actually so insane. Yeah he couldn’t help it but damn. -And she is in mourning for her father, her grief is coming out in anger and people aren’t too sympathetic. -AND she’s the only female werewolf, and is forced to answer to/be around Sam because he’s the Alpha. -Makes total sense she’d leave. I love her character so much.. and Paul! Gotta love the hotheads :) Great reaction guys, loved your humor! Definitely gonna watch more of your reactions
The flashes between her freaking out and just laying there comatose is because they gave her morphine. They thought it would help the process be less painful, but all it did was essentially trap her in her own mind. She felt everything, but couldn't react physically. She ends up telling Carlisle so he knows it didnt work. But she never told Edward so he wouldnt feel guilty about it

No, the venom burned through the morphine quickly. She confessed to Carlisle so he wouldn’t use that on the next person. She remembered how Edward reacted to her pain in the ballet studio, so she kept her pain inside. Just screamed in her head. At first she couldn’t react because of the morphine, her body being broken, but then it was just an act of kindness to spare her husband more pain. ❤️🩹
Reaction channels are like my comfort food and this one is rocketing to the top of my list of favourite reactors. Thank you for keeping an open mind, it's so refreshing watching people not take a steaming dump over every piece of dialogue and every scene. They dont really go into Bella telling her mother. She tells Charlie and he just starts laughing. And when she asks what's so funny, he says "YOU'RE gonna be the one to tell your mother." Her mother didnt have a bad reaction. They just assumed she would. And Charlie thought it was hilarious the idea of her telling her mother shes getting married at the same age her parents did.
In the books Edward tells Jacob that if he can convince Bella to deletus the fetus, he can get her pregnant and she can have a normal pregnancy (if she wants children now, of course) but its siiiiick 😂 the worst part is that Jacob considers it for a moment before deciding it is a disgusting request

I remember in the books Bella was in excruciating pain for days or weeks? but coped with it by not reacting at all so Edward wouldn’t worry until she fully turned. It kinda showed how strong mentally she is compared to other human beings.

No, no! Sam was with Leah, until he imprinted on Emily. Which is why he is with her now! You don’t have a choice, you just imprint on whoever you’re supposed to imprint on. It wasn’t Jacob’s choice- it just happened!
Sam was with Leah but imprinted on Emily who is Leah's cousin. Sam and Emily feel bad but imprinting is not a choice. Leah understands this but is still heartbroken. Also people keep getting mad at Edward for how he's reacting. 1, he is 17. 2, he spend 100 years feeling alone and finally found his mate. Someone he was not supposed to be with in the first place. Did everything possible to potect her just to then marry her and be the cause of her death through this pregnancy. He is terrified of losing her and Bella is choosing to die inorder to give him a child. Edward's head space is messed up! Last note, with Jacob imprinting, it is again totally involuntary but still acreepy. Jacob's weird obsession with Bella had more to do with her unfertilized eggs than Bella herself. Which would have been totally effed up if she had a baby by him and he ended up imprining on it. And it definatley means he will marry her. It just that his feelings for her will be "age approptriate" and wont be romantic until they are both ready for it.
The only thing with the imprinting part, it’s not a for sure thing they will get married. Renesmee is the one that will choose if it goes into a romantic relationship. If she makes the choice to keep him as a friend, then that’s what it will be. I always felt more sadness for him, because he just lost all of his autonomy. Also, if Bella and Jacob had gotten together and had a baby, he wouldn’t have imprinted on that baby because it would have been a completely different set of genes. I honestly think if Edward hadn’t ever been in the picture, Jacob would have imprinted on Bella. I don’t remember where I read it, but I believe Stephanie Meyer said that Billy’s theory is that they imprint on beings that will help the pack be stronger.

@sirimity Jacob would not have imprinted on Bella because theore would have been no vampires to activate the werewolf gene. Also it was made very clear in the books that Jacob and Bella only had that pull because of the prospect of Renesmee. There are several reason why they could possibly imprint given in the book but Billy's theory might proven wrong with Jacob since Renesmee might not be able to have kids due to the nature of her condition

important clarification on sam-emily-leah triangle: sam and leah were high school sweethearts. emily’s leah’s cousin from another reservation and came to visit just after sam had made his first transformation into a wolf. he immediately imprinted on emily and broke up with leah. it’s described way more in detail in the books during the chunk where it’s jacob’s POV, but leah is absolutely torn up about it. they can’t control the mind meld sharing either- the moment they’re in wolf form, they hear each other’s thoughts, so everyone’s constantly reminded of it.
Edward having a syringe of his venom gets me every time, the mental image of him milking the venom out of his own teeth every day like a snake or a spider always kills me 🤣🤣

Great reaction! The wolves can read each other thoughts and communicate without speaking, however only the same packs. Once Jacob went on his own he could not hear Sam’s pack. Jacob is not the only one that has imprinted on a small child, his friend Quil imprinted on a toddler. It seems it’s for the child’s protection. That’s why Jacob was pulled towards her while she was pregnant….he was destined to imprint & protect her daughter.
There were some hints thrown into the dialogue at what was going to happen. Bella tells Jake, “It feels complete when you are here.” That’s because Jake had imprinted on Renesmee while she was in utero. Jake couldn’t stay away and had to guard the Cullins’ so that the baby could be born, even though he wanted her dead. Jake was going to kill said baby but he just didn’t realize it until computer generated baby looks over at him and and said, “I got’choo! Yeah! You mine bitch! Now BOW-WOW before me!” THAT’S when Jake realized it. What they tried to show a little bit was what was going on in Bella’s mind the whole time after she died. Usually people who are turning are screaming and writhing in pain… tearing the place apart. She was burning inside as all of her organs were dying, body changing and a whole lot of horrible things. So what she did was grab and cling onto what is described as a “pole on fire”. She squeezed it and internalized the pain because she knew if she let even one eyelash twitch, she would bust out all over the place. She didn’t want Edward to see her in that kind of pain and reaction, because he would think a) it was his fault, and b) she wasn’t a strong person and it would prove him right. So as long as she didn’t move, Edward would believe she didn’t make it and then SURPRISE! I’m a super model!! She knew if that happen, Eddie T. Would kill himself, go crazy and kill the baby and all other kinds of bad things.

Imprinting sucks. Basically, the wolf doesn't have a choice on who they imprint and essentially becomes at the mercy of the imprintee. The connection doesn't have to be romantic. If the imprintee is a kid, the wolf becomes a protector until the kid is grown enough to decide what they want the wolf to be. So if the kid grows up and wants to date the wolf, the wolf doesn't have a choice. If the imprintee decides that they want to date someone else, the wolf will be on the sidelines in pain but will respect the choice of the imprintee. People have called it grooming, and technically, it is. But i find it awful how Jacob just has no choice in the matter.
the wolf wouldn't be in pain if the person they imprinted on decided to date someone else, they would never be sad about something that made the person they imprinted on happy
@@salem8092 Exactly what I was about to say. The wolf pretty much just reflects the desires of receiver. If the receiver loves and wants to be with someone else, the wolf will then desire for that same thing on behalf of the receiver. It's always about whatever the receiver wants/needs, and how the wolf will make it happen (so to speak). It's still pretty horrible, though, to not have their own will on the matter, but my guess is that the imprinting in and of itself gives the wolves a very satisfying sense of purpose that they don't even desire their own will anyway. Heck, I'd imagine that if the receiver needs the wolf to love someone else, I don't see how that couldn't be possible either, if the wolf is essentially living to satisfy what the receiver wants/needs.
So, if I'm remembering correctly, the baby is possible bc Edward is the 1 frozen in time. But he still, ahem, produces the necessary bodily functions. Bella still has her natural cycles. However, when females become vampires and are 'frozen in time,' they do not continue to have their natural cycles and cannot beome pregnant.
Ok I really need the last part lol. And to help explain imprinting…. A wolf can only imprint on someone who can continue their lineage. They also do not really age until a certain point and female wolves in this lore cannot have babies so they cannot continue their lineage blood line. This is why Leah will never imprint or be imprinted on.

Anyway, pardon the length, but I love to be thorough lol. @8:04 - Funny to say, but this scene in particularly is, imo, the most accurately portrayed from the book. Bella was a nervous wreck, legit freaking out internally, and Kristin nailed it. @8:19 - Fun fact, the author of the Twilight franchise, Stephenie Meyer, can be seen in the audience right at the front, left side, with the freckled red dress and dark hair. @9:02 - Total book accuracy. Per Bella: "I forgot the crowd, the place, the time, the reason...only remembering that he loved me, that he wanted me, that I was his." @20:20 - No explanation, imo, could ever be good enough as to why Ed was able to impregnate Bella. In the book, Bella concocted a theory that because she was human, her body is capable of the physical change necessary to grow a baby. Vampire females, on the other hand, are frozen; their bodies CAN'T change. But I don't see why that theory won't apply to males too, their bodies freezing as well. They shouldn't be able to produce anything at all. But ya know, it's one of those things you just have to overlook lol. @25:17 - In this part of the book (which is written from Jacob's POV), Edward was so incredibly and crazily desperate to save Bella, that he wanted Jacob to convince her to not only abort her baby, but to also offer himself to father any future children she wants going forward. He'd rather have Bella alive and with another man's children than dead from his own. Jacob, of course, thought the idea crazy, ridiculous, and even tempting lol. His POV in this book was fantastic. @27:18 - lol, yeah, the depiction of telecommunication definitely didn't work on-screen. Even for a book fan like me it was so corny lol. The only improvement I can think of is to just keep their voices sounding normal. But they decided to enhance them into being....whatever this was lol @29:20 - Leah was Sam's girlfriend when Sam imprinted on Emily. So Sam's entire focus became Emily, which thus forced Leah to hear Sam's obsessive thoughts about another woman. No bueno for poor Leah. That's why she was dying to imprint on someone herself to sever the love she still has for Sam. Sam doesn't still love Leah, though he does feel badly for hurting her. @31:13 - Edward's entire behavior is the total opposite in the book. Rather, he was in a sort of anguish over the possibility of losing Bella. He refused to leave her side at ALL. He didn't throw tantrums or yell or got angry with her. He was pretty much a broken man and he REFUSED to hurt her in any way. I remember when I watched this in theaters, I was quite disappointed with how they messed with his personality. @37:26 - Which is exactly why I loved his portion of the book soooo much. The teenage snark is epic. A lot of major fans hate his chunk of book, but not me. I was all for it. @37:45 - lol yeah, it's bad. I remember reading that name and I was like, "Really?" You do get used to it after awhile. A LONG while. @39:30 - In the book, he instead says, "Throw it out the window" lol. I remember being kinda bummed he didn't say it in the movie, but I guess it woulda been a bit TOO cruel. @40:06 - It was. Bella experiences a couple chapters of pain, but silently on the inside while still listening to outside conversations. I think the movie did this moment pretty well. @41:51 - Yeah, there's never a nice way to explain imprinting without people being weirded out by it (rightfully so). @45:34 - The movie did a pretty decent job with the birth scene, but yeah, book is definitely more embellished. Bella's bones did indeed snap again and again, "like she was being electrocuted," the book said, which was pretty much the baby literally trying to break and rips its way out of her. There was lots of vomiting up blood from the internal bleeding, which they didn't do in the movie. But yeah, there was the C-section, Rosalie snarling with hunger, Jacob being the one to stop her, getting stabbed in the arm with the scalpel as he did so. It was definitely a wild, graphic scene. @47:01 - Yah, you guys have it right. The wolf that imprints becomes whatever is needed for the receiver without desire for anything else. It simply wouldn't exist. So while there'd certainly be a possibility for them to become future lovers with the receiver, that would exist only *IF* the receiver desires it. If the receiver does NOT desire it, then neither will the wolf. The wolf is always the responder, never the initiator. It's actually a pretty unfair deal to the wolf because they have neither the choice on who they imprint on, like you guys said, nor their own will. Then again, once they imprint, the lack of will wouldn't even bother them anyway since it gives them a sense of purpose they didn't know they needed, and for them, that's a satisfying life. I always preferred Jacob to imprint on Leah in the book (and vice versa), but it was not to be. @48:29 - Fun fact! in the extended edition, you will have seen Edward's reaction to the imprinting. He becomes aware right away by listening to Jacob's thoughts, and then immediately breaks his arm before throwing him into the wall. Though that scene wasn't in the book, it was a funny scene that I wish they kept in. You can find it on RUclips. @49:52 - You're welcome. I had fun, as per usual. I can't wait to see your final journey into the last film, which is arguably most people's favorite.

I'm impressed. Even without fully understanding imprinting, you are probably the first reactors I've seen who realize that it doesn't necessarily mean it will be a romantic thing. So many people see this concept as gr0 0ming, and yeah it could be, but at least you recognized that it can also just be a brother or friend type relationship. Still icky, though.
I won't lie though I'd really like it if Jacob was just the family dog 😂 Heard the author is writing 2 more books. I really want Jacob and Renesmee to just be close friends and not be romantic. Other wise it feels gross. And the whole I made out with your mom while your dad watched, would be crazy.
I love that Mike Newton sent you a message. On another reaction channel, Carlisle basically provided a spoiler in the comments section before the dude had gotten to that particular event. So he pulled up a couple of hilarious pics to get even for providing a spoiler. I love when the actors in these movies respond to their reviewers with hilarious comments. 😀 just makes the experience more exciting.
Backstory Here: Carlisle, Alice, Esme and Emmit. The movies don’t mention this but: Esme: when she was a human, Carlisle was her town doctor when she was a kid. When she grew up, her child died and she was so heartbroken she threw herself from a cliff. Carlisle found her and turned her to save her. Carlisle: He was a human in medieval Europe. Son of a religious figure and they would organize “hunt” to cleanse the city of vampires. Carlisle was bitten while trying j one of these hunts and hid under a sack of potatoes for 3 days while his body went through the change. Then he spent year trying to end his demonic existence and when he found that he couldn’t he dedicated himself to helping humanity despite of what he is. That’s why he better around blood (his age, his life’s meaning now, and practice) -Emmit was mauled by a bear while on a hike and Rosalie found him. She brought him to Carlisle as his curly brown hair reminded her of a friends baby when she was human and she was instantly drawn to him. -Alice: was actually a patient in an insane asylum in the 20s and was the victim of a vampire attack. But the vampire didn’t actually finish her. A janitor found her (I think she fed from him and then with her power to see the future, she went and found Jasper and The Carlisle klan.
So, the Sam and Leah situation.. Leah and Sam used to be an item. Unfortunately, Sam imprinted on someone else, which essentially ended his relationship with Leah, leaving her heartbroken yet unable to leave because of the wolf pack. So she can't have who she wants, but she's forced to witness his new relationship. That's why Leah wishes SHE could also imprint on someone so that she'd be able to move on and be happy too.
And, I believe, because she’s the first female in the pack, they aren’t sure if she’ll ever be able to imprint. Something about the hormones when changing into a wolf, her body is basically in a stasis every time she shifts.
I predict a lot more subscribers in your future, this is easily becoming one of my favorite channels, I love your reactions. Very observant, very witty, 10/10 would recommend.
Also, twilight was originally supposed to just be an Indy film. The other books weren’t supposed to be picked up and turned into the mega catastrophe that it is and that’s mainly why the first one feels so different from the rest of them.
39:07 yea technically Renesmee turned Bella with the bite, and Edward's venom accelerated it, with the syringe straight to the heart. Then, while the morphine had her frozen, the shot with Bella screaming was her writhing in pain burning alive, but being frozen in place simultaneously and unable to convey the feeling or emotion or anything. In the book, she was thankful for the morphine because she wanted to hide the fact that she was in literal hell from Edward. All that while Jacob was being hitched to Nessie, supernaturally.

In the extended version of this film we can see how Edward, when he goes down to fight with the others, reads Jacob's thoughts that he has imprinted on Reneesme, gets angry and pushes him, dislocating his shoulder, that's why Jacob takes so long to leave the house, he was recovering (remember that wolves recover much faster than a human), Edward ends up understanding what it means to him by continuing to read his mind and also thanks to that he saved everyone.
You guys doing Twilight just cures my depression, and that's not even an internet joke.. 😂 Was counting down the minutes to this one, and it was so much better than anything I could've expected.. Immediately favorited the reaction so I can watch anytime I need a pick me up. Seriously, this reaction made laugh out loud multiple times when I'm not a laugh out loud person. I am from Brazil and it feels like yesterday when we saw on the news that Robert and Kristen were in Brazil filming for Twilight. Such a good memorie from my childhood, plus the feeling i had watching all twilight in the movie theaters.

If you remember my comment from the first Twilight reaction, I saw Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2 in theaters with my dad. I was 14/15 years old watching the honeymoon scene in a theater full of screaming girls and women and I'm sat next to my father...All I remember is looking at him to my left and he's laughing hysterically as Edward tears the bed apart and I'm wishing I was anywhere but there for the entire sequence. I was staring into my soda cup during the love scenes and wouldn't see the the full scenes until I watched the movie on my own lmaoooo
49:30 Oooh, oh, oh! I just remembered! You guys really need to Google the Renesmee doll. They used CGI because they needed a baby that looked like both Bella and Edward, and didn't look quite human. They first tried that with a doll. The doll was sooo creepy that every single actor feared her 😂 People still think it's haunted to this day. So they had to go with the CGI. You'll be greatful they went with that and not the doll.
So the pregnancy happened, according to the author is that Women vampire cant procreate because their bodies cant change and ( i feel strange explaining this) bodily fluids still flow with vampires, so Edward and Bella happened. Regarding imprinting it is explained in Eclipse that in the Quileutes Stories the magic in their shapeshifting only happens through bloodline, and the magic itself chooses how to continue through imprinting, essentially the magic chooses the person who has the ability to continue the shapeshipfting bloodline, which is why in the old days chiefs had several wives (in the story it is the 3rd wife the one the cuts herself) so as to give out offspring with the abilities. So basically although he does not see it that way, Renesmee is Jacobs best bet at continuing his wolf bloodline. yes its creapy, but i believe the author mainly did that so as to have an open story to write more books, think about it a hybrid vampire and a shapeshifting warewolf....many many books could have happened!

Meanwhile eggs mature every month in women and vampire women don't produce hormones to do that anymore nor to release the eggs. The bones also can't shift to make space for a baby nor does the uterus construct a lining. No blood flowing and no warmth. Having Mike's actor in the beginning almost TOOK ME OUT I was laughing so hard 🤣🤣 what I really appreciate about RRHQ movie commentary is that it's easy to dissect and hate on stuff, but they always go for more of a joking about the material as you would with a family/friend and not necessarily just hating on stuff to be hateful. The reaction to Jacob's howling in the background as Bella and Edward drove away was HILARIOUS and it's such a refreshing atmosphere to have people who watch something to react and enjoy with lighthearted jokes instead of just being critical and hateful. ❤️

-Leah is heartbroken, while also struggling with the betrayal of her cousin (who accidentally got hurt by Sam so you also gotta think she was worried for her too)
-In my opinion, imprinting doesn’t have to be romantic. So Sam leaving Leah immediately was actually so insane. Yeah he couldn’t help it but damn.
-And she is in mourning for her father, her grief is coming out in anger and people aren’t too sympathetic.
-AND she’s the only female werewolf, and is forced to answer to/be around Sam because he’s the Alpha.
-Makes total sense she’d leave. I love her character so much.. and Paul! Gotta love the hotheads :)

The flashes between her freaking out and just laying there comatose is because they gave her morphine. They thought it would help the process be less painful, but all it did was essentially trap her in her own mind. She felt everything, but couldn't react physically. She ends up telling Carlisle so he knows it didnt work. But she never told Edward so he wouldnt feel guilty about it

No, the venom burned through the morphine quickly. She confessed to Carlisle so he wouldn’t use that on the next person. She remembered how Edward reacted to her pain in the ballet studio, so she kept her pain inside. Just screamed in her head. At first she couldn’t react because of the morphine, her body being broken, but then it was just an act of kindness to spare her husband more pain. ❤️🩹

They dont really go into Bella telling her mother. She tells Charlie and he just starts laughing. And when she asks what's so funny, he says "YOU'RE gonna be the one to tell your mother." Her mother didnt have a bad reaction. They just assumed she would. And Charlie thought it was hilarious the idea of her telling her mother shes getting married at the same age her parents did.

No, no! Sam was with Leah, until he imprinted on Emily. Which is why he is with her now! You don’t have a choice, you just imprint on whoever you’re supposed to imprint on. It wasn’t Jacob’s choice- it just happened!

Also people keep getting mad at Edward for how he's reacting. 1, he is 17. 2, he spend 100 years feeling alone and finally found his mate. Someone he was not supposed to be with in the first place. Did everything possible to potect her just to then marry her and be the cause of her death through this pregnancy. He is terrified of losing her and Bella is choosing to die inorder to give him a child. Edward's head space is messed up!
Last note, with Jacob imprinting, it is again totally involuntary but still acreepy. Jacob's weird obsession with Bella had more to do with her unfertilized eggs than Bella herself. Which would have been totally effed up if she had a baby by him and he ended up imprining on it. And it definatley means he will marry her. It just that his feelings for her will be "age approptriate" and wont be romantic until they are both ready for it.
The only thing with the imprinting part, it’s not a for sure thing they will get married. Renesmee is the one that will choose if it goes into a romantic relationship. If she makes the choice to keep him as a friend, then that’s what it will be. I always felt more sadness for him, because he just lost all of his autonomy. Also, if Bella and Jacob had gotten together and had a baby, he wouldn’t have imprinted on that baby because it would have been a completely different set of genes. I honestly think if Edward hadn’t ever been in the picture, Jacob would have imprinted on Bella. I don’t remember where I read it, but I believe Stephanie Meyer said that Billy’s theory is that they imprint on beings that will help the pack be stronger.

@sirimity Jacob would not have imprinted on Bella because theore would have been no vampires to activate the werewolf gene. Also it was made very clear in the books that Jacob and Bella only had that pull because of the prospect of Renesmee.
There are several reason why they could possibly imprint given in the book but Billy's theory might proven wrong with Jacob since Renesmee might not be able to have kids due to the nature of her condition

important clarification on sam-emily-leah triangle: sam and leah were high school sweethearts. emily’s leah’s cousin from another reservation and came to visit just after sam had made his first transformation into a wolf. he immediately imprinted on emily and broke up with leah. it’s described way more in detail in the books during the chunk where it’s jacob’s POV, but leah is absolutely torn up about it. they can’t control the mind meld sharing either- the moment they’re in wolf form, they hear each other’s thoughts, so everyone’s constantly reminded of it.

Great reaction! The wolves can read each other thoughts and communicate without speaking, however only the same packs. Once Jacob went on his own he could not hear Sam’s pack. Jacob is not the only one that has imprinted on a small child, his friend Quil imprinted on a toddler. It seems it’s for the child’s protection. That’s why Jacob was pulled towards her while she was pregnant….he was destined to imprint & protect her daughter.
There were some hints thrown into the dialogue at what was going to happen. Bella tells Jake, “It feels complete when you are here.” That’s because Jake had imprinted on Renesmee while she was in utero. Jake couldn’t stay away and had to guard the Cullins’ so that the baby could be born, even though he wanted her dead. Jake was going to kill said baby but he just didn’t realize it until computer generated baby looks over at him and and said, “I got’choo! Yeah! You mine bitch! Now BOW-WOW before me!” THAT’S when Jake realized it.
What they tried to show a little bit was what was going on in Bella’s mind the whole time after she died. Usually people who are turning are screaming and writhing in pain… tearing the place apart. She was burning inside as all of her organs were dying, body changing and a whole lot of horrible things. So what she did was grab and cling onto what is described as a “pole on fire”. She squeezed it and internalized the pain because she knew if she let even one eyelash twitch, she would bust out all over the place. She didn’t want Edward to see her in that kind of pain and reaction, because he would think a) it was his fault, and b) she wasn’t a strong person and it would prove him right. So as long as she didn’t move, Edward would believe she didn’t make it and then SURPRISE! I’m a super model!!
She knew if that happen, Eddie T. Would kill himself, go crazy and kill the baby and all other kinds of bad things.

Imprinting sucks.
Basically, the wolf doesn't have a choice on who they imprint and essentially becomes at the mercy of the imprintee.
The connection doesn't have to be romantic. If the imprintee is a kid, the wolf becomes a protector until the kid is grown enough to decide what they want the wolf to be.
So if the kid grows up and wants to date the wolf, the wolf doesn't have a choice. If the imprintee decides that they want to date someone else, the wolf will be on the sidelines in pain but will respect the choice of the imprintee.
People have called it grooming, and technically, it is. But i find it awful how Jacob just has no choice in the matter.
the wolf wouldn't be in pain if the person they imprinted on decided to date someone else, they would never be sad about something that made the person they imprinted on happy

If the receiver loves and wants to be with someone else, the wolf will then desire for that same thing on behalf of the receiver. It's always about whatever the receiver wants/needs, and how the wolf will make it happen (so to speak). It's still pretty horrible, though, to not have their own will on the matter, but my guess is that the imprinting in and of itself gives the wolves a very satisfying sense of purpose that they don't even desire their own will anyway. Heck, I'd imagine that if the receiver needs the wolf to love someone else, I don't see how that couldn't be possible either, if the wolf is essentially living to satisfy what the receiver wants/needs.

So, if I'm remembering correctly, the baby is possible bc Edward is the 1 frozen in time. But he still, ahem, produces the necessary bodily functions. Bella still has her natural cycles. However, when females become vampires and are 'frozen in time,' they do not continue to have their natural cycles and cannot beome pregnant.
Ok I really need the last part lol. And to help explain imprinting…. A wolf can only imprint on someone who can continue their lineage. They also do not really age until a certain point and female wolves in this lore cannot have babies so they cannot continue their lineage blood line. This is why Leah will never imprint or be imprinted on.

In the book, Bella concocted a theory that because she was human, her body is capable of the physical change necessary to grow a baby. Vampire females, on the other hand, are frozen; their bodies CAN'T change. But I don't see why that theory won't apply to males too, their bodies freezing as well. They shouldn't be able to produce anything at all. But ya know, it's one of those things you just have to overlook lol.
@25:17 - In this part of the book (which is written from Jacob's POV), Edward was so incredibly and crazily desperate to save Bella, that he wanted Jacob to convince her to not only abort her baby, but to also offer himself to father any future children she wants going forward. He'd rather have Bella alive and with another man's children than dead from his own. Jacob, of course, thought the idea crazy, ridiculous, and even tempting lol. His POV in this book was fantastic.
@27:18 - lol, yeah, the depiction of telecommunication definitely didn't work on-screen. Even for a book fan like me it was so corny lol. The only improvement I can think of is to just keep their voices sounding normal. But they decided to enhance them into being....whatever this was lol
@29:20 - Leah was Sam's girlfriend when Sam imprinted on Emily. So Sam's entire focus became Emily, which thus forced Leah to hear Sam's obsessive thoughts about another woman. No bueno for poor Leah. That's why she was dying to imprint on someone herself to sever the love she still has for Sam. Sam doesn't still love Leah, though he does feel badly for hurting her.
@31:13 - Edward's entire behavior is the total opposite in the book. Rather, he was in a sort of anguish over the possibility of losing Bella. He refused to leave her side at ALL. He didn't throw tantrums or yell or got angry with her. He was pretty much a broken man and he REFUSED to hurt her in any way. I remember when I watched this in theaters, I was quite disappointed with how they messed with his personality.

@45:34 - The movie did a pretty decent job with the birth scene, but yeah, book is definitely more embellished. Bella's bones did indeed snap again and again, "like she was being electrocuted," the book said, which was pretty much the baby literally trying to break and rips its way out of her. There was lots of vomiting up blood from the internal bleeding, which they didn't do in the movie. But yeah, there was the C-section, Rosalie snarling with hunger, Jacob being the one to stop her, getting stabbed in the arm with the scalpel as he did so. It was definitely a wild, graphic scene.
@47:01 - Yah, you guys have it right. The wolf that imprints becomes whatever is needed for the receiver without desire for anything else. It simply wouldn't exist. So while there'd certainly be a possibility for them to become future lovers with the receiver, that would exist only *IF* the receiver desires it. If the receiver does NOT desire it, then neither will the wolf. The wolf is always the responder, never the initiator. It's actually a pretty unfair deal to the wolf because they have neither the choice on who they imprint on, like you guys said, nor their own will. Then again, once they imprint, the lack of will wouldn't even bother them anyway since it gives them a sense of purpose they didn't know they needed, and for them, that's a satisfying life. I always preferred Jacob to imprint on Leah in the book (and vice versa), but it was not to be.
@48:29 - Fun fact! in the extended edition, you will have seen Edward's reaction to the imprinting. He becomes aware right away by listening to Jacob's thoughts, and then immediately breaks his arm before throwing him into the wall. Though that scene wasn't in the book, it was a funny scene that I wish they kept in. You can find it on RUclips.

The movies don’t mention this but:
Esme: when she was a human, Carlisle was her town doctor when she was a kid. When she grew up, her child died and she was so heartbroken she threw herself from a cliff. Carlisle found her and turned her to save her.
Carlisle: He was a human in medieval Europe. Son of a religious figure and they would organize “hunt” to cleanse the city of vampires. Carlisle was bitten while trying j one of these hunts and hid under a sack of potatoes for 3 days while his body went through the change. Then he spent year trying to end his demonic existence and when he found that he couldn’t he dedicated himself to helping humanity despite of what he is. That’s why he better around blood (his age, his life’s meaning now, and practice)

Unfortunately, Sam imprinted on someone else, which essentially ended his relationship with Leah, leaving her heartbroken yet unable to leave because of the wolf pack. So she can't have who she wants, but she's forced to witness his new relationship.
That's why Leah wishes SHE could also imprint on someone so that she'd be able to move on and be happy too.

And, I believe, because she’s the first female in the pack, they aren’t sure if she’ll ever be able to imprint. Something about the hormones when changing into a wolf, her body is basically in a stasis every time she shifts.

Also, twilight was originally supposed to just be an Indy film. The other books weren’t supposed to be picked up and turned into the mega catastrophe that it is and that’s mainly why the first one feels so different from the rest of them.

39:07 yea technically Renesmee turned Bella with the bite, and Edward's venom accelerated it, with the syringe straight to the heart. Then, while the morphine had her frozen, the shot with Bella screaming was her writhing in pain burning alive, but being frozen in place simultaneously and unable to convey the feeling or emotion or anything. In the book, she was thankful for the morphine because she wanted to hide the fact that she was in literal hell from Edward.
All that while Jacob was being hitched to Nessie, supernaturally.
They don't explain it, but in the books she isn't venomous. The male half vamp is, but the females aren't.

In the extended version of this film we can see how Edward, when he goes down to fight with the others, reads Jacob's thoughts that he has imprinted on Reneesme, gets angry and pushes him, dislocating his shoulder, that's why Jacob takes so long to leave the house, he was recovering (remember that wolves recover much faster than a human), Edward ends up understanding what it means to him by continuing to read his mind and also thanks to that he saved everyone.

You guys doing Twilight just cures my depression, and that's not even an internet joke.. 😂 Was counting down the minutes to this one, and it was so much better than anything I could've expected.. Immediately favorited the reaction so I can watch anytime I need a pick me up. Seriously, this reaction made laugh out loud multiple times when I'm not a laugh out loud person. Have to mention some of my favorite things:

If you remember my comment from the first Twilight reaction, I saw Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2 in theaters with my dad. I was 14/15 years old watching the honeymoon scene in a theater full of screaming girls and women and I'm sat next to my father...All I remember is looking at him to my left and he's laughing hysterically as Edward tears the bed apart and I'm wishing I was anywhere but there for the entire sequence. I was staring into my soda cup during the love scenes and wouldn't see the the full scenes until I watched the movie on my own lmaoooo

49:30 Oooh, oh, oh! I just remembered! You guys really need to Google the Renesmee doll. They used CGI because they needed a baby that looked like both Bella and Edward, and didn't look quite human. They first tried that with a doll. The doll was sooo creepy that every single actor feared her 😂 People still think it's haunted to this day. So they had to go with the CGI. You'll be greatful they went with that and not the doll.

So the pregnancy happened, according to the author is that Women vampire cant procreate because their bodies cant change and ( i feel strange explaining this) bodily fluids still flow with vampires, so Edward and Bella happened. Regarding imprinting it is explained in Eclipse that in the Quileutes Stories the magic in their shapeshifting only happens through bloodline, and the magic itself chooses how to continue through imprinting, essentially the magic chooses the person who has the ability to continue the shapeshipfting bloodline, which is why in the old days chiefs had several wives (in the story it is the 3rd wife the one the cuts herself) so as to give out offspring with the abilities. So basically although he does not see it that way, Renesmee is Jacobs best bet at continuing his wolf bloodline. yes its creapy, but i believe the author mainly did that so as to have an open story to write more books, think about it a hybrid vampire and a shapeshifting warewolf....many many books could have happened!

Meanwhile eggs mature every month in women and vampire women don't produce hormones to do that anymore nor to release the eggs. The bones also can't shift to make space for a baby nor does the uterus construct a lining. No blood flowing and no warmth. So even if there was an egg released at the time of change, it would be frozen.
