- Hey Guys, This is a video of average running costs I have experienced whilst owning my Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. Your insurance isn't bad at all, age plays a huge difference though, sometimes aging from 24 to 25 is like half the price

rslax Just a tip, it helps to call up another insurance company and tell them what you are currently paying, they can usually give you a better deal.

age does nothing it's how many years of experience you have that matter. You can be 40yo and got your driving licence few months ago you'll pay same price as a young person.
Fred eric Not true, on average, you’ll find that the auto insurance will decrease by up to 20 percent for males when they turn 25, they look at statistics, and males between 20-24 has a higher tendency to get into accidents (usually because they just wanna drive fast as fuck) but of course if you constantly get into accidents, it doesn't matter if you are over 25
your insurance is the same as mine. Im 17 and drive a ford :(

Trick with Italian cars is: When you start the car with the engine being cold. Let the oil get up to temp before you rev and drive your Italian car. Remember this is from a cold engine at first. Like the morning before you leave to go on a trip or to work. I always let my car warm up to at least 150 degrees Fahrenheit , normal temp for my Italian car is 190 degrees Fahrenheit.

Absolutely loved this video, I think I might have been one of the few people who recommended you to do this type of video. I'm a 19 year old entrepreneur from the U.S and over the recent months my start-up has been successful. In a few months I'm looking to buy a 2015 Cayman S, and have been researching over the past few weeks. will someone explain that tyre tread does not denote grip.
Maybe at fast speeds less tread is better as more friction however as he is only on British roads the friction is not enough therefore more tread will fit into grit again creating more friction .

honestly JE, this is not true... the tarmac isnt porous enough to create this effects... honestly read on a tyre has no effect on grip, its all about surface area... you may gain a little bit of surface area on the sides of the tread maybe 1mm up but apart from that nothing... if you ran slicks on uk roads in dry conditions youd have far better grip than a treaded tyre... the only reason they have tread is for when it rains
+A Cat just as a reply to this less tread will cause less grip on a standard road tire!! When you have a slick tire it is all about the compound of the rubber!! Semi slick tires used for track day vehicles are a softer compound of rubber than a normal road tire!! I know this because Iv been racing karts for years and the same concept exists in the sport!!

on a smooth road surface, deep tread will take away some of your grip, hence in forumla 1 they would prefer to always run on a soft flat tyre, if they were ran on treaded tyres the performance decrease would be astranomical

I have the same tires, the cheapest I found near me was $868 plus $30 a wheel to install through the SAMS club. No stores have them in stock, they're all special order. The cheapest tire store was a hair under $1000 plus about $250 to mount. They're such a hassle but they are extremely good, I do just slide from side to side on painted stripes or anything metal though, but I guess that's any performance or low profile tire.

What about depreciation? At the end of ownership, presumably there will be a fairly significant loss which will form part of the running/ownership cost?
the reason you have to have all the same tires on a AWD car is because if one of the tires has a different rolling diameter than the tire on the other side the center differential or the rear differential (depending on which part of the car the different tires are on) will have added stress and in some cases will burn up the diff. nothing to do with the handling of the car.

So in england How hard is it to purchase a home? Since it's such a small place are the prices astronomical or is it about the same as the states? Does everyone have to just rent apartments? Just curious
London you can barely touch it and its f... cramped. Go outside of it and some places are beautiful with an average 3 bedroom house going for anything 180k to 300k GBP. Country side is beautiful but is also very expensive. There are managers living in caravan sites to save for a deposit for a house.Others are going for living on the river boats.One will set you back between 60k and 100k GBP.
Damn So it's like an entire country with the real estate similarity of New York or Tokyo? Caravan that's fucking rough man. The Median income for London is 10kUSD lower than the u.s. average yet the property prices are astronomically higher. You would think the market would balance out and they would lower the prices but I guess not. Maybe the limited supply? Not a lot of new construction of homes I'm guessing.

I think that I would prefer the pre-facelift model because it still has manifold injection, which works better than direct injection.
The 997 is the only time Porsche have made a facelift mid model the big issue was The notorious and costly IMS bearing failure - which can result in catastrophic engine failure - was an issue with the earliest first generation 997s, the 997.2 they addressed this issue and many more the engine had . One of my offer friends has a 09 Cayenne and his gearbox just blow after less then 60k, The Turbo S should be ok fingers crossed

As much as I love these cars be they Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren etc, the servicing and repair costs are simply obscene..which is why I believe the C7 Corvette, be it the standard model or Z06 is the best overall Super Sports car in the world when taking into account running costs..and no I'm not American, but credit where it is due, since the C6, the Corvette has elevated itself to world class status, the C7 simply ticks all the boxes and is about as good as anything out there at a fraction of the cost.
That said, this lambo looks great and congratulations to S.O.L guy for living his dream, well done to you sir.
Mate, I have been watchin ur vids 4 a while but I will subs now. I think ur a cool guy no matter how u earn ur money. Just a piece of advice from a huge fan of Porsche - Buy urself a Porsche 991 Turbo/Turbo S or at least Carrera 4S/GTS. It's not that flashy as a Lambo, but running cost fuel econ, handling, perf are equal or better and so long. Cheers mate

If you want to have a Bmw 320 e46 in Norway I have heard that it can cost around 2000£. Here in Norway insurance is very expensive if you are young and especially if you want to have a bimmer
I remember when I was 17 (a long time ago) and I had an old 1985 E30 318i. Some insurance company's wanted £12k 3rd party fire and theft to insure her. Luckily I got the price down to just under 1k. A year later my 88 325i was only £750 fully comp. The good old days :)

here in Croatia, for the all running cost money, u can buy a bmw m3 2010... registration and insurance is for car and it cost for one year something like 270 quid

I thought the fuel would be much cheaper in the UK, than it is here in Norway. Premium 98 octane is around £1,2 - £1,3 depending on day of the week, pr liter ofc.

Buy k&n air filters & you wash them instead of changing them they pay for themselves very fast & there a better filter I'm not sure if power is actually much more but it's more about not changing it every year.

Regarding insurance can someone clarify please: So from what he said, you have to insure yourself on the car... does that mean that if there is an accident - there is no coverage for the passenger?
+unzunzvroom the insurance can cover the passengers also. So you can either let the insurance company deal with the whole claim or you can choose your own lawyers.
Coming into London tomorrow for 3 days, with the aim of just seeing supercars, hopefully I wont be dissapointed! Also hoping to meet Paul Wallace sometime just so I can see his awesome Lambo and get a photo with him. So fingers crossed!
