One of these in manual would be the perfect supercar, an a great investment too, as a mechanic I’ve worked on many over the decades, never saw any problems with the manual transmission Gallardos, so would give it a 9.5 or even 10/10 for reliability
I love my 07 G. I replaced the old cats with High Flow Tubi cats and basic yearly maintenance is all i have put into it in 4 years. Snap test was 52 percent and im second owner with now 12,000 miles. Its a beast, love the vehicle.
Been dreaming of owning one some day and definitely going to save this video up for the future if / when im getting one so i can reply to this comment in the future 🙏
The good thing with the Gallardo is that it is a VW group car. There are plenty of much cheaper parts tagged as Audi/vW and 3rd party brands, I would say this is the poor man's supercar, compared to the 360/F430 where to keep them on the road is a fortune.
Clutch is more reliable on an LP one, but everyone prefers the pre lp's exhaust as it sounds similar to predecessor models. Personally I like the look of the lp as its a little more modern, but a little more pricey.
The common thing among all "supercar" owners is they are waiting for the next thing to go wrong. Which part will fail next? It's a matter of priorities, isn't it? You live in the real world, drive on public roads...in bumper to bumper traffic...with morons all around you and every now and then you get to step on the gas. Twang...something breaks and it's off to the dealership once again. Some people like that...some don't.
Awesome advice. Are there good specialists in the UK (South West) ? Which tyres are better suited ? Is it worth removing all wheel drive ? Annual servicing cost £1000 ?

@@luludvega nothing at all....I get the gratuitous banks 1-5, 6-10 cel, but it's passive so I clear it and motor on.

Very informative, as always. 👍
Thanks for the comment mate! 😁👍🏼
Got driven in one, Jeremy clarksons old grey spyder, I’ll never forget that drive 😊
Great video, well explained, straight to the point!
Thanks!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
great video, not that I intend to buy a Gallardo but enjoyed your video
Similar to flicking through pricey cars on autotrader it’s just good to look 😄 thanks mate
I've not heard of the throttle body issues, just the clutch issues. I just want a pre-LP gated manual.

Did the LP guide appear?
Regarding the fuel filling - my TVR Chimaera was the same, the trick was to sit the nozzle in rather than insert it fully.
Great video! Looking forward to the LP version (i'm in the market for one)!

Great video, great presentation, all I need now is the money to buy one.
would u suggest buying a pre LP or post LP?
Is the LP video coming soon or have i missed it? Thanks
For all these issues, this car is not worth paying full market value price, maybe a project one with a salvage title
Der Gallardo begeistert mich genau so wie der Huracan Spider ❤️❤️♉️♉️

My '06 Spyder has been far more reliable than my '03 360 Spider.
Wow you’re so cool. 🙄

Hi would you recommend getting a lambo or v10 for around 60k
I assume you mean r8… I’d go r8 as the lambo for 60k will be rough!
What cats do you recommend
I'm just gonna be truck driver I just want feedback before I go buy one my self
Thank you!
Everything also 7.5 lol
