Ah damn - new store in Nashville. I just left Nashville and returned to Maine. But I did get to meet George Gruhn at his shop. What a sweet man. And I got to see Tom, Guthrie, and Jedd at the Basement. Was a special trip.
I was 10 years old in 1979 and met Walter Payton in the soup isle at Jewel (grocery store). I recognized him right away. It was just him and me in the isle. He walked up to me, as my mouth was hanging open with my heart pounding, reached out to shake my hand. I grabbed it firm as a 10 year old could. He said "Hi, I'm Walter". I said "I'm Jimmy. Your the best." He said, "Thanks", smiled and that was it. I got the can of soup my mom sent me for (cream of mushroom I think) and rode my bike home. I haven't thought about that in a long time. Thanks Tom.

I was bringing just 1 guit with me, be it my tele, strat or 335, but I kept on breaking strings on the gig, so I started bringing 2 guitars... except I was breaking strings on BOTH guits mid gig. Turns out the humidity in my music room/office was way jacked up and was causing my strings to rust down by the bridge saddles and break. Bought a dehumidifier, a hydrometer and started keeping my guitars in their case (sadly, I'd much prefer looking at them out in the open lol), but ever since, they have been way more stable and... way fewer broken strings at a show! Awesome video as always, it wasn't swaying at least here in the UK 🤭, the "Big muff" took me back to 1978, the first pedal I ever purchased was the "little big muff", I remember the same day I tired out a Morley Wha pedal, cause I read somewhere that Joe Walsh used one. Shluctssss.....🍻
Felt a little weird hangin from the ceiling, just looking over your shoulder, but the view was great.
Except the bumps on my forehead from inadvertent headstock contact.😂
You boys have a great time in New York, Tom.🤙
Uncle Larry! You gotta make a video on your take on modern guitars. What are you favorite modern guitars that are worth the price! All our hearts lie with the old ones but there only are so many.
I’m getting The Silence Of The Lambs vibes on the intro.
I love these bench talks! Thanks Uncle Larry!
Love the Music Villa shirt
Nothing beats that Yuengling Tone

Man…those ebony rod martins. So. Damn. Good. That attack!!
Love that strat. Must be sweet.
I’m exceptionally prone to motion sickness and this video was no problem for me, even though I have been fighting a migraine today.
Dang, I hope you're ok.
@ I’m fine now. Thanks.
That's an impressive amount of downward pull!
Yes indeed - I stumbled on Music City Guitars when my wife and I were visiting a few weeks back - Super selection and really nice guy behind the counter -A real gem of a store, just like when I was a kid.
I got one for ya, my dad was a pilot for TWA when we lived in Chicago Well he was standing at the check-in podium back in 85’ish and these guys came up and surrounded by a bunch of people and my dad looked at the ticket and recognized the last name and thought Humm, Van Halen?…. Eddie?… my dad was like Ya I heard of you my kids listen to your music… Eddie was like Wow! thats cool man… true story..🤘🏽😎
That was entertaining and funny Mr Tom and informative thanks
Hello Tom
Nice sound
The intro was some ASMR Uncle Larry 😂 awesome video as always
Hey Tom, I was at Music City Vintage a couple of months ago and picked up an Ithacaster Telecaster from Mick LoPinto. Great build with a fat, 50’s style neck and some sweet sounding Seymour Duncan’s. Beau and the gang are really cool and yes, they have a ton of cool gear there!!
Ahh good days. Thanks for the memories Tom, big love from the UK 😊
