@@fmfdocbotl4358 FYI/PSA: For those that are not aware (maybe the majority of civilians), the word army is typically used synonymously with the word military. I’ve met a great many people that use the word army to refer to all branches. Although it is incorrect, it is very common in the colloquial sense, like many other usage mistakes.

@@JohnnyTaxonomy that's why I didn't be an ass about it and said it like I did. The only time I flip out is when they do it in movies or TV even media because they should do their homework about it, but an average civilian is ignorant to the ways of the military

As a rancher/cow poke, i rarely wear cowboy boots. There are many more comfortable options available. Practically speaking, if you don't own a saddle, you really don't have a need for cowboy boots. The modern cattle rancher rides horses by choice, but it is not really mandatory for managing cattle in todays day n age.

Thursday boots are great. 33 years ago I had a pair of boots hand made by a place in Downtown Chicago. I wore those boots everyday for over 20 years until my feet changed so much I just couldn't fit my feet in them. Antonio, you live in Wisconsin, my father was from there and I grew up in Chicago. One thing you don't worry about in winter is style. The snow gets deep, the air gets well below zero, black ice, you name it. A great pair of winter boots is essential! Keep the feet warm, good traction, water proof, because when the weather warms a bit streets and parking lots are full of slush!

If I was into one particular brand, it would probably be Allen Edmonds! I have four pairs of their dress boots (Dalton, Long Branch, Stirling, and Hamilton), and eyeing three of their other boot styles like Rainier, Freeport, and the newly coveted Park Avenue cap-toe dress boots! Otherwise, I have a wide variety of boots myself! Some of my favorite types of boots include side-zip/Beatle style, military/police, cowboy/roper, and motorcycle boots!

Yes, I have done the five point roll during a parachute landing. Also known as the PLF amongst AF pilot types. The landing was much harder than I anticipated. The chutes allow troopers to come down at a speed that is survivable without undue exposure in the chute (bad guys don't like live troopers). I'm a former 130 guy and have seen many troopers exiting a c130 from my formations, except when I was the lead aircraft. I did see a near catastrophe when a very small female trooper nearly got caught in the trailing c130's wingtip because she didn't have the weight (training drop with no combat gear) to make a rapid descent. I was the #3 ship and she exited from the lead ac. PS I have three pairs of Thursday boots and I love them all.
My two go to boots this fall are my square toe Ostrich skin western and Sude Chukkah boots.

Just gonna throw my recommendation into the mix. For anyone living in hot and humid areas that get a lot of rain and flooding, you'll love jungle boots. Only downside I've had with them was with how much of a pain they were to take off, and now that I don't walk as much or go out in the rain anymore I stick to motorcycle boots with a side zipper. But if ever I go out knowing I'll be on my feet for a long time or be in deep muck, I still have my old pair to go back to.

From a mid 40's Canadian that lives in Alberta.
The cowboy boot can actually be dressed up for almost any suit a person would like to wear.
As far as the leather soles, once worn in properly they actually do provide a lot of grip. But i do agree there are better soles out there.
I have 2 pairs that have rubber soles and they are / were perfect for when i rode. (Head injury not related) i dont ride anymore.
I havent finished watching the video please forgive me if you mention these.
But Nicks or Franks Patriots custom boots are actually amazing for riding, working and even can be dressed up depending on which soles you order.
Im currently trying out a lower price but still decent quality boot Ad Tec Packers lace ups. Of you have more to spend then do but if on a budget they are a very comfortable, well made boot. Of course lean towards a western look. 😊
Thank you for the great videos
    Cheers and beers 🍻

2 boots to wear the most for every guy:
In case of thursday boots the wingtip ( or if any other brand , a dark brown casual ankle high boot ) that can be work with a jeans and can be styled up with a button up shirt and a blazer and a casual boot that is sterdy like a combat boot or a service boot or a work boot , for me i would go with the wingtip ( literally for every occasion including weddings and suits) and a combat boot for more rugged occasions👌

Second comment lol just my grumpy old man opinion lol since ive had boot failure before id stay away from a boot with zippers or like the Chesle with the stretch material.
Being the environment i live in and of course personal style western / cowboy boot as well as a lace up boot like my Packers.
I'll likely put a more aggressive treaded sole on the Packers when it comes time for a resole. Or ideally buy a pair of Frank's Patriots.

Great vid Antonio. See so many wearing the wrong type of boot with their clothing. Stick to your theme. If you really are that theme all the better. Just beware certain boots will attract possibly unwanted attention in certain scenarios. Some are considered "badges" so be sure to note that when wearing boots. Real combat boots with the wear and scars are the best, same with cowboy boots, but only if you earned them!

I have a pair or jungle boots. Someone I know gave them to me. He got them while he was in the service from someone. I wear them. Never once had a problem. Same with cowboy boots. I don't think you have to be a cowboy to earn the right to wear them.

As a native Texan who wears cowboy boots, might I suggest wearing jeans that are a little bit longer? Proper jeans for cowboy boots should have a more pronounced break and extend below the ankle. When standing, the material should have a pronounced break with two or three folds in the front, and should slide down the back of the heel. Straight legs with no break and a hem that stops just below the ankle is not the proper look for cowboy boots, especially when wearing jeans.

The right age to start wearing boots is right now. Save up and get what you want. If you like them and want to wear them, wear them with confidence. Dress for yourself first and foremost. Don't worry about what others may say. So what if others don't wear the kind of boots you want to. That's their choice. Sometimes it's good to stand out a bit. Having the confidence to go against the flow is a great lesson to learn early in life. Keep going brother, you got this.

Hey, I have a question how can I get a sponsor by Thursday boots I have a RUclips channel with around 300 subscribers. I reached out to them but I still never got a response back. How can I grow my channel by giving good quality content and getting out my subscribers. There’s so much competition which I don’t mind I enjoy the community but trying to get my videos out there. It’s pretty difficult for me. How can I change this and improve?
Please help me out you’re one of the first channels I’ve ever watched to actually up my style back in 2012 I believe

First off, Antonio, that is quite the motorcycle excursion, a Forrest Gumpian romp that I'm sure left you with a lifetime of memories.
As for boots, my go-to is the Chelsea; I have three pairs, two in suede, the other in leather. I have one pair of Balmorals in leather, which I love, especially with a suit or odd trouser. I have one pair of chukkas (mocha) which I like with jeans or chinos. I am looking at the Thursday Boots Diplomat as I feel a moc boot is my next logical move.

The problem with these boots is they never make them big enough for people like me. 14 4E. Screw online. You cannot try them on. Mail back pain in the ass

Almost all motorcycle boots have chains so that the straps don’t get stuck to the levers. I would confidently say majority of the bikers are men. That gives you your answer.
