OR HOW ABOUT people wear a leather jacket " how they want too" because well i can say with that haircut that you only "go after" other men... see how i just RANDOMLY said something.
My favourite thing about is autumn is I can wear my jacket. Investing does pay for, I’ve an All Saints leather jacket that is about 8 years old and it’s still good as new. I bought it for just over £300 (originally around £500) on sale so it works out roughly £40 a year. It’s warm, stylish and I still get compliments on it. Cost per wear “pays off” in leather jackets as you constantly wear them. Morbid: but it’s one of those things if you prematurely die, it’s the one item your family is going to fight over getting. It really becomes “part of you”. Each leather jacket fades a certain way, gets it’s own scuffs, so it becomes unique to you
Love this explanation I also own an All Saints leather jacket I purchased this year and it’s such a lovely jacket. Great point with the morbid tip as well, it’s true.
I finally purchased a leather jacket after trying on different leather jackets for years prior to purchase. I tried on hundreds of jackets before I pulled the trigger on the perfect jacket for my body type and personality. It was expensive but it was worth the cost.
Perfectly timed video. I ordered a goat skin suede leather jacket online, it arrived yesterday, and it fit beautifully. Took my lady out on a date and she was almost as obsessed with it as I was. Couldn't agree more about investing in a quality jacket. The brand I got is Iron and Resin and my favorit,e part about them is they have the lifetime repair policy. I'm done with fast fashion. Invest in quality, brands that stand behind their product, brands who will repair their pieces so they don't end up in the trash.
I‘m a collector of Belstaff and Matchless leather jackets. For me, it is so much more pleasant than collecting watches. Your jackets and your watches will both tell your personal life story if time gets by, but unlike your watch, the jacket looks BETTER therefore. The leather jacket is still an underrated collectors item in my opinion. I think, if there would be some influencers promoting luxury leather jackets, like those hundrets of influencers that promote the luxury watch market, some jackets of certain labels would skyrocket in market value.
I don’t consider myself a collector, but I have been through several leather jackets and many pair of boots just looking for one that I can wear all the time and that fits right. I know each person is different, but it’s really astonishing to me how many companies make boots and jackets that just really aren’t comfortable or appropriate to wear around daily. I bought a Schott Storm last winter and I love it, but the sleeves are a bit long. If I can figure that out, I will have it a long time.
@@H..M.. If you can find a qualified tailor or seamstress with the right machines for leather the sleeves are usually the easiest part to adjust. I am glad, that autumn is here and I can wear my old, brown leather jacket again, I like the leather smell and the 70s look of it, looks great when worn with a turtleneck sweater or a shirt (not so great with a t-shirt though) style is one thing, functionality another: for me it is important, that the jacket has at least one inside pocket, mine has one on each side and even another small one for a zippo or such
Leather jackets are my favorite confidence booster item. I have three (black, medium brown, lighter brown) and am planning to get a fourth (black with red accent lines).
I actually bought a leather jacket for only 80 euros. However the sleeves were too wide, so I brought them in and sewed the sleeves back together by hand. It's not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. It's amazing what can be achieved given some time and patience.
sorry but I cant take advice on leather jackets from someone who is wearing the seat covers from a Mini Clubman. ill stick with Belstaff & Matchless for mine.
Great video Antonio. I’ve had leather jackets from Korea, Spain, China and the USA. The European leather tends to be thinner and finer. Other than that if you take care of them with proper cleaning and conditioning they can last for years. Cheap leather is not worth the price so shop with quality in mind.

Leather processors make multiple hides from the different layers called splits. The mid-splits have the grains embossed back into them and surface pigments applied for more uniform/diverse finishes and aging characteristics. Split vs full grain isn't a matter of quality per se, it's application dependant. Splits can do things full grains can't and vice versa. The cheap stuff is made using scraps that are ground up kind of like paper pulp, mixed with a polyurethane or other gluey binder and pressed into embossing dies, these usually last about as long as the binder does and often have a textile backing. Your trashy childhood babysitter with the delaminating Leather couches were made with fabric backed polyurethane pressed into an embossing die under pressure and cured with heat usually. Typically 100% chemicals with no organic fibers. Sadly a lot of new cars use this Leather in their seat surfaces, if not on all surfaces then at least the ones you don't sit on. Custom leather automotive upholstery (the good stuff) is so much better than anything from the factory it changes the feel of the whole car. Think $4-6k per job. They say it's done to be eco friendly, but eco friendly is simply the belief that rich sell to the poor to maintain their own exclusive access to higher quality materials while fleecing the cash you slave for in their businesses making other second rate goods to be sold not to their ilk, but yours. The best piece of advice you gave for buying Leather jackets (id argue for everything) is buying the absolute best you can afford. Always do that.

An interesting material you don’t see very often is kangaroo leather. It’s very soft and comfortable while also being fairly strong. Quite expensive though

I've started collecting and investing in leather products since last year. I started with a leather backpack, belts, shoes and more bags. I'm actually planning on having a tailor fit leather jacket or buying online. I have a lean and small body build so it's kinda hard finding a good match online and I live in a tropical country so I'm thinking of a thinner maybe napa leather or goat skin leather. I hope someone could recommend a nice store online with an asian sized jacket! 😊😁
It's hard wearing leather jackets when it's hot. I built up a small collection from eBay earlier this year (before spring) and have yet to have the opportunity to wear most my jackets.
Great video Antonio could you do a video on Jean jackets my dad had an old one from the 80s and gave it to me was wondering how I style it or wear it thank you 👍🏽
Hi great video, I was wondering if you could help, I have a black cafe racer lambskin jacket will I be ok to wear a blue checked shirt underneath with dark blue jeans. thanks in advance 🙂
I absolutely hate wearing leather jackets. They’re hot, stuffy and hard to stow. TBH I’m surprised people like wearing them casually. But since I spend most of my time on a motorcycle I’m wearing one nearly everyday. Dainese 😈
I noticed that for the retro style motorcycle jackets, like the brando style, the snaps are off when seen in photos. What is your style opinion on whether they should be on or off?
Antonio, You speak of trying on the jacket to get full arm range, make sure of fitting, etc. but purchasing a jacket from JR Rocha is done online. Now I don't know about you, but I can't try on my computer, or are you just referring to the need to try on 'off-the-shelf' jackets and I should just shut up and keep setting aside $ for theirs?
Thursday boot company has some of the best leather jackets out there. Construction, durability, and style. Their customer service is incredible, so if you need to send one back and try a different size the shipping is hassle free and extremely fast.
I disagree that fit is emperor, fit mainly concerns how it looks on you which is superficial. A jacket is a practical item to keep you warm and protected, quality and durability is of most importance.
This video reaffirms my decision not to get a leather jacket. It's difficult for me to find clothes that fit, and a leather jacket would just exacerbate that. And in this climate, I just don't get enough opportunities to wear one.
I'm a traditional leathercrafter. I don't know much about the current fashions or brands, but leather? Don't buy anything less than around $300USD retail value. Test the colorfastness, preferably before you buy, if you tend to shop in person. Bring a small bottle of hand sanitizer, put some on, and rub the inside of one seam around the waist, especially near the back. That's where the most corners will be cut, and the dye will be the most uneven, near the edge of the useable leather, and where the finish is most likely to have worn off during shipping and storage. If you finger comes back with color, pass on it: that's what will happen to the whole thing after a season of wear. Next, learn to care for your leather. *No leather dye and finish, no matter how high the quality, lasts forever.* Seriously. This is skin we're talking about. It lasts longer than lotions or fabrics or oils. Get a good leather conditioner for your product; contact the manufacturer, especially if it's a high end company, and get their recommended product. Put it on at the end of each season of wear for best results. A little goes a long way. If you wear your leather year round, I recommend every six months. If you wear it daily or almost daily as part of your core style, once every four months will keep it looking fresh and new.
I bought a jacket from Aliexpress, made in china of course, but this is the high-end chinese quality, and really really heavy, 1.8mm cowhide skin and very hard-rough, feel like I wearing the armor. Looks nice but uncomfortable. what can I do to make it softer ?
I just bought and received an Indy Bison Bomber Jacket. It is absolutely amazing, very heavy with high quality zippers and snap buttons. It’s a statement piece for sure - love it.

How do I know between a regular leather jacket and a motorcycle leather jacket?
Please tell me where I can get the red suede jacket!
Sorry, but very poor choice for the jacket your wearing....
He's got his taste you got yours
It's bloody awful. Really bad.
I agree not a nice look
It awful!!!
Yeah it look like Scion TC Interior 😫😭
I’m looking at that jacket. What size is it? According to their size chart, at 6’4 200 I should buy a small?! 🤔
Sweet Jacket!
I have a question if anyone wants to answer I got given a old school leather overcoat what’s style that would work nice with it
I absolutely hate wearing leather jackets.
Are First Manufacturing leather jackets good quality? They say there made with full grain leather
That white stitching on your jacket 🤣
Riding jackets should have armour in the shoulders, elbows and, preferably, the back... if they are to be regarded as protection equipment on a bike.
I’d like a leather jacket to go with blue pinwale pants and kudu boots. Anyone ever heard of a shell cordovan jacket? 🎉
Are the leather jackets from Thursday boots good quality or should I buy from somewhere else?
Thursday boot company has some of the best leather jackets out there. Construction, durability, and style. Their customer service is incredible, so if you need to send one back and try a different size the shipping is hassle free and extremely fast.
I love the next ones, the green, etc.
For me it is impossible to accept that contrast stitching jacket. Too loud.
Very useful! Thanks!
I just got my first leather jacket a couple weeks ago. Does it suppose to sound squeeky?lol.
What about leather jackets with hoods. My girlfriend likes them but I don't. lol I think the hood takes away from the shoulders.
nice video
Can I wear (regular )motorcycle leather jacket on occasion?
Do you have a guide to see what style that goes with which body type?
And how do you tell machine stitches from hand sown?
I want to buy a leather jacket but I've got another 15-20 pounds to lose before I'm at my goal weight :>(
only video you need to look badass
You touched on it but didn't fully explain- what leather jacket style does look best on guys with a belly?
Biker jacket! ❤
Please make a review on Thursday Boots Leather Jackets
I bought a jacket from Aliexpress, made in china of course, but this is the high-end chinese quality, and really really heavy, 1.8mm cowhide skin and very hard-rough, feel like I wearing the armor. Looks nice but uncomfortable.
what can I do to make it softer ?
I just bought and received an Indy Bison Bomber Jacket. It is absolutely amazing, very heavy with high quality zippers and snap buttons. It’s a statement piece for sure - love it.
