Well quite simply I have never owned anything less that 5years old in my 77 years. I have two 1995 GMC's right now. Both still on the road and driving at 29 years.
ive had short beds and long beds, long beds are by far so much better for work, i think the long bed looks better too, to each their own, love the red chevy
Check out that White Taurus by that Lexus. Chevy unveiled the new body style the ladder part of 99. The 1st half of 99 had that generation of body style then the 2nd half of 99 we got the new generation of Silverado.
It's not the injectors. You have to program the key by turn the ignition switch on for 15 mins. off 15 mins. 3 times. Somebody changed the ignition switch. It could also have a bad resistor in the ignition circuit. It's an easy fix and would make a good video.
98 silverado would be worth a lot here up north people always looking for long bed, especially if not rusted. Mechanical shit can deal with not rotted frame. I looked at one of these 95 stepside k1500 but I could see thru frame was cracked in half where cab meets bed
Dude!!! I really enjoy your channel. Today I was watching you and at 9:59 you reminded me of I love your channel. You were coming up on a red VW and said this, "What about this Volkswagon, I kind of like this, .... OH OUCH, see what I mean?" I don't know why, but it's as if I am standing right next to you and am as surprised as you. Thanks for what you do to entertain, Steve. 😊
This was a great walk around i enjoyed this alot and that Lexus is pretty nice i would take it in a heartbeat. And cant wait to actually see the video on thechevy to see you bring her back to life. Anyways thanks for sharing keep up the great work much love to ya have a good one take care god bless and I will see ya on the next one
I had a 96 chevy truck like that red chevy. The only trouble I had with it was the intake gaskets and fuel pump. My grandpa had it before I did and had to replace the spider injection system
I noticed you secured the Silveray-do BEFORE you posted this lol. What I also noticed is the missing sensor in the intake manifold. Could be part of the reason it doesn't want to start and run. It'll be a good content generator.
That Chevy is well worth saving even if it needs an engine and trans, and i doubt it does. Seems like fuel system issue, not the key. They weren't chipped or anything. Weak fuel pump is most likely the problem, possible fuel injector issue. Up north in the rust belt a clean body, clean frame like that is worth a good bit. My 97 c2500 ext cab, long bed needs a little brother! I'll take it!
I suspect you have a timing chain that has stretched over time and has jumped a cog, so starting is difficult at best. Take the cover off the timing chain on the front of the engine, and see if the timing marks line up. If not, line them up, prove that fixed the starting issue, and if so, then run out and get a new timing chain that is not so stretched out for a permanent fix. Inexpensive fix. The 1998 Silverado does not have a chipped key.
The 2grfe is a great engine, prior to 2010 you just need to be careful for the high pressure oil cooler lines that need to be changed out for the newer style. Literally if the lines rupture it will run the engine out of oil in about 1 minute. With that being said I have seen 400k on this engine and still running good
Randy, on the Chevy/GMC trucks most of the time when you have the 4wd message come up it is because the interior switch is bad. They aren't hard to change, and the switch is usually not much depending on where you pick one up at. I have changed more than a few out over time.
Just a thought - try mixing in newer cars from time to time, I think many would enjoy that as well. That Audi at 9:10 for example. Yes hail, but it didn't look smashed. I also might consider buying one personally, and your review would be a huge help. Otherwise love the content !
I love the old Chevy. I have a sweet one owner that just rolled 100k I’d love to own that red one as well. Sounds like crank sensor could be bad or fuel pump could be weak.
My brother in law had a Gmc Sierra 3/4 ton and it was a 99 1/2 I think it was and it had the obs like this one and I've been looking for a decent looking chevy truck like this for awhile now with 4wd but the ones I see either have a ton of miles or rusted out.
Me personally I've always wondered the reason why they would put your normal individual out of bidding for a vehicle is solely make it a dealer that can only bid on a vehicle does it make any sense to me money is money. Almost bet that truck will probably bring a lot of money long beds aren't so hated anymore it just depends on the condition of the truck because as slick as that truck is I would buy it but honestly everything is gone up in the automotive industry does it matter if it's a long bed or a short. But I'm hoping that you're having a good day and God bless you and your family.
the red chevy truck...if you look close on ur video...left side top of engine...its missing something...theres a missing item that screws into top of manifold...otherwise...great buy
i had the same problem with it starting then dieing . . the shop i found fixed it by removing the throtle body and cleanibg the egr system it was clogged with unburned gas and oil resadue
08 Avalanche looks like a flood vehicle. There is a coating of that red mud everywhere in engine bay, and on the floor. Water intrusion would cause all of those electrical gremlins if it sat without flushing out all of the fluids.
I had a 89 Cheyenne and miss the hell out of it. It was a long bed with the 305. I hate how people are taking them and cutting them up to make a short bed. I only look for long beds. I would go for it. Can't be no more than a couple grand with a no run and the age.
Look the thing that causes most vehicles to be crushed is the salt on the roads as the frames and body panels are beyond repair and would need replacement which with the cost of labor is out of the question. You notice none of these shops ever tell you what the repairs cost for a job like that is.
Randy that BMW 35i had a N63 a 4.4l DOHC Twin Turbocharged V8 that you need to avoid like the plague. It’s not a N52 that would have been a BMW 3.0l N52 which is a naturally aspirated straight-6 petrol engine
Would trust that 98 Chevy over a new one🤔
Exactly 🏅
It's probably half the size of these new Silverados too
mine was dependable till intermittent starting issue was a great truck
Well quite simply I have never owned anything less that 5years old in my 77 years. I have two 1995 GMC's right now. Both still on the road and driving at 29 years.
@@Lane-jq3ed you got that right buddy
Yes. Bring the Red pickup truck back to life 😅
Nice, The red Silverado will be cool to see you fix up 🆙🥰
The body on that truck is beautiful. Those 2wd trucks handled great and the lwb makes it like a Caddy! Wow what a truck
Long bed is batter than short bed anyday!!!❤Chevy
Yes. Bring the Red pickup truck back to life!
ive had short beds and long beds, long beds are by far so much better for work, i think the long bed looks better too, to each their own, love the red chevy
That OBS Chevy definitely looks worth fixing and saving. Send it out here to S. Carolina.
Those Lexus' come from the factory with that pinstripe, Randy.
Try to get the red silverado ! You will have fun with it !
“Like a Rock” I remember those Chevy commercials when I was a kid 😂
Check out that White Taurus by that Lexus. Chevy unveiled the new body style the ladder part of 99. The 1st half of 99 had that generation of body style then the 2nd half of 99 we got the new generation of Silverado.
I remember the chevy silverado at your headquarters but it is still a good truck hopefully when it all fixed up i will run good again and nice video
Hello Randy my friend had his old truck do the samething. His was a bad fuel-pump. Happy Holidays🎄 & new year everyone 🎇🍾🥂👍🫡✌️
It's not the injectors. You have to program the key by turn the ignition switch on for 15 mins. off 15 mins. 3 times. Somebody changed the ignition switch. It could also have a bad resistor in the ignition circuit. It's an easy fix and would make a good video.
I second this for one reason, the one key is for the original ignition lock but it's there cause the door locks haven't been changed.
It Ignition Switch Wiring.
Why would you have to program the key? It's not chipped. It's most likely a fuel system issue possibly combined with fouled plugs.
98 silverado would be worth a lot here up north people always looking for long bed, especially if not rusted. Mechanical shit can deal with not rotted frame. I looked at one of these 95 stepside k1500 but I could see thru frame was cracked in half where cab meets bed
Enjoyed. Fun to see what happened to each Vehicle. Amazing how Folks take care of their rides. Dirty!! Imagine how the Home looks. Thank You!!
Damn bots... i can't bear them anymore.
Anyway... great video, always interesting. Thanks for this.
The red pick-up would be great to see on the channel. Hope that you have had a great Christmas break.

I love that Taurus
I always look forward to your videos
I agree with you randy. Somebody went mud bogging and destroyed everything
Love that red chevy truck! Buy it.
Hello There Mr Randy Lee Shear Of Auto Action Rebuilds
Love that style of Chevy! I'd rock that '98 all day!
Hey randy nice video, hope you had a great Christmas
Think this is the earliest I've been to a video 😂
Love the walk around an and stories! I hope all of you enjoyed your Christmas and am doing well! Keep it up randy!!
I have that exact same lexus with almost a 250k and it's been extremely reliable
Grab it OBS. Are epic now even. Non runner detailed. Worth. It
Only x5 of that generation I would comfortably get is the diesel. Sounds like a Cummins
This was a great walk around i enjoyed this alot and that Lexus is pretty nice i would take it in a heartbeat. And cant wait to actually see the video on thechevy to see you bring her back to life. Greetings from Finland!
I noticed you secured the Silveray-do BEFORE you posted this lol. What I also noticed is the missing sensor in the intake manifold. Could be part of the reason it doesn't want to start and run. It'll be a good content generator.
The Barkays hit and run. Heck yeah! Old school funk at its best.
This is a good truck
Hey Randy, the name of that song was Hit and Ron from my older brother time. It’s a really funky song. Give it a listen sometime.
The knock coming from that X5 made me cringe, never heard a first gen N63 do that before lol
Fuel pump is probably bad in that Silverado btw.
Worth putting one in and driving it.
Great trucks those are
Good morning Randy I hope you fave a great Christmas!
I always like your videos randy
Great walk around😃
There’s a coating you can put on the dashboard on that Lexus to get rid of the stickiness, it’s basically a paint but it makes it look like new
I suspect you have a timing chain that has stretched over time and has jumped a cog, so starting is difficult at best. Take the cover off the timing chain on the front of the engine, and see if the timing marks line up. If not, line them up, prove that fixed the starting issue, and if so, then run out and get a new timing chain that is not so stretched out for a permanent fix. Inexpensive fix. I am very exciting video very nice video 🎉🎉 thanks you so much I love your video 🎉😎
Yes 1998 was the last year of that Chevy body I own a 1998 Chevy suburban. And yes over milage. But I love that body style.
The 2grfe is a great engine, prior to 2010 you just need to be careful for the high pressure oil cooler lines that need to be changed out for the newer style. RED CHEVY!! My dad had a k series 95 just like it! the 4wd was for show it didn’t work and it was florida anyway It had the gray interior tho
Just a thought - try mixing in newer cars from time to time, I think many would enjoy that as well. That Audi at 9:10 for example. Yes hail, but it didn't look smashed. I also might consider buying one personally, and your review would be a huge help. Otherwise love the content !
And ya, you did show that 7 series in the last video, 👍👍 for that.
Hopefully a good 2nd gen frontier pops up soon!
Best truck ever 🎉 I miss mine
Hope ya get the truck ... My neon did that same thing cuz i cut a key without the magnet in it
I love that Lexus for sure
That X5 would be the N63 engine, not the N52. N52 is a straight six. The knocking is probably a timing chain issue.
I like that old Chevy truck and it looks like one that was already dropped off a aar headquarters 😎
The chevy would be fun to clean up and running and diving
I love the old Chevy. I have a sweet one owner that just rolled 100k I’d love to own that red one as well. Sounds like crank sensor could be bad or fuel pump could be weak.
Ok? Nobody cares Randy already has purchased this truck
Chevy I'd go for love to see it brought back nothing like a good Chevy
My brother in law had a Gmc Sierra 3/4 ton and it was a 99 1/2 I think it was and it had the obs like this one and I've been looking for a decent looking chevy truck like this for awhile now with 4wd but the ones I see either have a ton of miles or rusted out.
26.50 Hallelujah. The Lord's good Lexus!!!!
Buy the obs. Hot content and an easy sell.
25:46. How about a feature of the first gen Honda Odyssey? Those are cool!
I did the spider injectors on my 2001 GMC Jimmy once I did that it ran so much better
Could be the fuel pump on that Chevy truck. You have to drop the tank to change it, but they aren't too bad.
4:04 you can turn it into a 8ft bed single cab pickup without taking off the extra roof and extra doors in the back..
I seen a old Dodge truck commercial where they used the "Heartbeat of America" slogan.
I have a 2004 Chevy Avalanche an I love it
I love old chevy trucks
The gmt400 trucks are know for bad fuel pumps that might be the problem.
I was like woowww when the CD Player start to play a song inside de Lexus, while it has AC Working
Some of the Avalanches came with an 8.1 big block I believe it was the 2500 model.
The Lexus and Silverado would be nice
Me personally I've always wondered the reason why they would put your normal individual out of bidding for a vehicle is solely make it a dealer that can only bid on a vehicle does it make any sense to me money is money.
Almost bet that truck will probably bring a lot of money long beds aren't so hated anymore it just depends on the condition of the truck because as slick as that truck is I would buy it but honestly everything is gone up in the automotive industry does it matter if it's a long bed or a short.
But I'm hoping that you're having a good day and God bless you and your family.
Good morning Randy. The Chevrolet Avalanche is a good looking truck. The 2007 Lexus E320 is a good looking car.
the red chevy truck...if you look close on ur video...left side top of engine...its missing something...theres a missing item that screws into top of manifold...otherwise...great buy
Lexus has had multiple recalls and warranty programs for dashboards that crack, melt or become sticky. I looked it up for you.😮
i had the same problem with it starting then dieing . . the shop i found fixed it by removing the throtle body and cleanibg the egr system it was clogged with unburned gas and oil resadue
Lexus beautiful car best video 🎉🎉✍️😎
Chevy I’d pass. Lexus might be a good one. BMW pass. Hmmm that’s the old school Chevy you grabbed
@2003cobramustang you have to love the old chevy 🩷
He already has the Chevy so clearly your not a real fan
@@Evan-r7t what do you mean I'm waiting for the video to release about chevy
He showed on the video where he got the manual cobra running and driving
Yeah the guy that dropped it OFF THE DRIVER LEFT THE VEHICLE HALF IN THE STREET LOLl@@Evan-r7t
Love the Red Chevy pick up truck 😎😎👍👍
The ES350 would be a great 1st car for Nick!
Hello randy don’t give up you’re day job.
It's a clip board in the ole chevy
Avalanche - I like em - thx for sharing
08 Avalanche looks like a flood vehicle. There is a coating of that red mud everywhere in engine bay, and on the floor. Water intrusion would cause all of those electrical gremlins if it sat without flushing out all of the fluids.
That's timing with the opening dust
That Lexis pin stripe MAY be a decal
I had a 89 Cheyenne and miss the hell out of it. It was a long bed with the 305. I hate how people are taking them and cutting them up to make a short bed. I only look for long beds. I would go for it. Can't be no more than a couple grand with a no run and the age.
Hi Randy
Just try to get some good gas in the engine. If it stays on longer than fuel pump and filters.
I got a 98 k2500 Extended cab Silverado 4x4 long bed. ❤
I would buy the red Chevy truck, if I could get it. I like the long bed and Two wheel drive.
I love that Chevy truck too
Ok? Nobody fucking cares about u POS
The old Chevy would be cool 🎉
He has the truck,

Randy.. show us some 4Runner
They are great 👍
Randy that BMW 35i had a N63 a 4.4l DOHC Twin Turbocharged V8 that you need to avoid like the plague.
