Pike Fishing a Jerkbait before FREEZE UP
Hit a stretch of river hoping for some smallmouth bass OR northern pike on a jerkbait but it was all pike on this trip. Sprinkling rain, 42 degrees - these pike were aggressive hitting the jerkbait which made a fun outing!
When fishing a jerkbait pike are usually always aggressive but wasn't sure how it would do this late in the year right before the ice hits. Next outing - hopefully tipdown bass and pike on ice!

What's the latest you've guys fished in the northern states? Normally we have ice (well next couple days will be walkable)
