Goated video man you literally said everything I needed
Thanks so much Ben for the great tips! Baitfish in the fall = very good!👍🏻😊
Thanks Bob! Yessir, baitfish are key :-)
Excellent video Benjamin! Really like your lure selection!
Thanks Pete! I appreciate you
Great info! Will try some of these tactics out tomorrow!
Good luck! Go crack some bass :-)
Thanks again for the great information 😊
Thanks Neil
I love the fall Ben ❤
Fall fishing is awesome 👌 😁
I love it!
i went fishing just yesterday for small mouth, caught 13 all off the bottom using soft plastic tube baits. the fish are still eating crawfish where i went
Exactly what i was looking for. Hitting Dale Hollow for first time end of Oct.
Hopefully you have a great trip
Awesome Video Ben! Taking my 2 teenagers out this weekend on a new body of water at one of our famous in land lakes that is famous for smallies and all 5 set ups will be tied on for sure! Will also have a ned and a Hover shot mixed in so not all 3 of us throw a tube. Haha.
I love it Peter! Hopefully you guys crack on some. I need to become more confident in throwing a tube...it gets bites and I catch fish, but I just don't throw it enough
@brnowak_fishing It was a Googan Squad 1.5 Square bill that did most of the damage today Ben in a craw colour! Yellow belly moving to red with a black back. Caught a 3 pound smallie and almost caught a Muskie when it came and grabbed it! It was like dental floss when he grabbed it and snapped off but let go of the bait so I got it back. My 16 yr old son caught his first Pike and it was about 30 inches and 8 pounds on. Berkley 1.5 Gill colour Pitbull squarebill. Again an orange belly. And finally my daughter used a Berkley lipless Warthog in a craw colour for about a 1.5 pound largemouth. What a fantastic day!
I'm surprised the Ned rig didn't make the cut. It might just be a confidence thing but I'll throw the Ned over a tube more in the fall, especially in September. I usually just got with a TRD kind of bait but I've been mixing in craws and minnows with success too. Great content as usual though and hopefully you'll smash some big brown bass this fall!
It was really a toss up for me as well. In September I like the Ned because it just gets more bites, but in October that bigger tube seems to be a big bite getter. The ned can catch bigs but tends to be a lot more weeding through fish
Heading out to Lake St. Clair in 2 weeks. I am going to try and use an umbrella rig to get me a 6 pound smallie, or two!
Heck just catch 5 on one cast
@@brnowak_fishing Anything is possible brother, great video! I already have all your other lures mentioned as a regular part of my arsenal. Never used an umbrella rig before. First time on Lake St. Clair also!
@@jrowinski82 have an amazing trip! I hope you enjoy your time out there
Interesting about the fall group up behavior for SM. I live in MO and mostly fish LM ; and they are completely diff. They group up in winter and summer, but in fall, they are all over the place and it’s time to do junk fishing. You only catch 2 per spot and move on. They follow the bait fish and don’t group up like SM
That's how our fish get during the transition in particular. They get in very small pods of one or two fish and then spread out. Junk Fishing is the key during the transition and then in the fall, you can really bang on them
I have a question about the temperature , when you mention the temp range, I guess you read the temp from your sonar ?
Because how we can look what is the temp at the bottom of 30ft down ?
Than kyou
Yeah I’m talking surface temps. You could get a temp probe because I’m sure deep water is stable a lot longer, but there is a trigger with those colder nights that must push bait and bass shallow even with those warmer deep temps
@@brnowak_fishing Thank you for your quick answer, and please continue you awesome video. I learn soo much with you, I m fishing most of small mouth on St Lauren river but in Quebec so is pretty hard here
Have you fished the Megabass Sleeper Craw by any chance?
No, since I had a few fish jump me off on a dark sleeper, I haven’t picked up another Megabass bait like that
Great content but you can't show a Duo Realis 11a and not include it in your crank list. Its a favorite of mine especially Pumpkin craw, subscribed.
Thank you! Yes I forgot to include it in the list. It’s amazing
Literally watching this on mullet lake as I type. It’s been a tough bite and 74 temp water October 3 2023
With this warm weather it’s tough! It’s extending the fall transition and fish are still deep, shallow and mid depth
Wish water was that warm.....up in northern mn we are in the lower 50s now.....

@@YourMomsPlaceLastNight yeah water temps fell from mid 60s last week to now mid low 50s here
Excellent info. #hitmyface😂
Hahaha :-) gotta give the people who like me a spot to sub and trick the haters into accidentally subscribing 😂
You need to say where you are fishing.....fishing down south or up in Minnesota and Wisconsin......ao much different......but im guessing this is up north a bit....water isxat 58 to 55° in Minnesota currently on lakes in center of state.....smashing the musky on lakes surrounding mil lacs.....smashing smallies with drop shots on mil lacs.....in my experience once temp drops below 53 52° bass head deep.....live bait works 10x better than anything in Minnesota......lake minnewaska i caught around 25 smallies in 4 hrs.....using crappie minows on a small green jig with red hook......18" leader.....was non stop......when its normal summer patters i use a 3/8 oz black and green booya MICRO pond spinner with 3" chartreuse cabellas brand mr twister with action tail......tossed that out got ZERO BITES.....cranks are only good for trolling.....and you need a counter on your reel......need to be atleast 100ft begind boat to get at proper depth.....rapala has an app to gauge your depth with amount of line out and speed with crank bait selection.....live bait is where its at.....yea definitely not as fun......another trick i do with live bait.....is fish with a slip bobber in 8 to 15 ft of water.....fish 6 to 8ft down with flat heads or crappie minnows....LIVE BAIT IS KEY IN FALL IN NORTHERN MINNESOTA ..... Casting big cranks up here will get you mostly pike in the fall.....
He says he is fishing up north. He is wearing a Great Lakes hoodies.
@steinerp obviously but ya know there's just 35,000 diff ones to choose from between MN and WI and MI
@@steinerp and he's definitely not on one of the great lakes
I didnt say he was on a great lake. Just pretty good indication of region. Obviously lakes comes in all shapes and sizes
@steinerp well just cause he has a great lakes shirt on doesnt mean that much.....1/2 the snow birds up here have salt like t shirts and stickers on their cars.....
