These 3 Mistakes Will Ruin Your Fall Fishing! (How To Avoid Them)

  • We all make mistakes but these 3 will mess up your whole Fall! If you want to catch more fish as we enter the Summer to Fall transition, you need to avoid these mistakes at all costs! Luckily, we've got some alternatives that are going to help you be successful.
    This can be a difficult time of year and most anglers react by slowing down and fishing places where they've been successful in the past. While that seems wise on the surface, it's the worst decision you can make as we head into the transition. Instead, focus your time on new patterns, covering water, and fishing quickly. To be even more successful, focus your attention on the extremes of lure size by focusing on small presentations or big swimbaits.
    Below you'll find links to the exact baits and equipment we discussed in the video. We've even included some great budget rod and reel combos to help you fish these baits effectively. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

    I love for you guys to come to Missouri and fish our lakes. Would be REALLY interesting to see how you'd break down our lakes, like Truman, Stockton, Lake of the Ozarks even. Lakes that have tons of standing timber, long points, bluffs, and REALLY BAD WATER FLUCTUATIONS. It's only about an 8 hour drive from Nashville. Love your content, has improved my fishing over the years ten fold.

But today I stop by on my lunch and Matt's in my head, talking about the Chatterbait Minimax, so I tie one on and start fancasting. Coming back to give my review with the poop bait category: My new confidence rig! They arent great for durability, but usually ill get a decent quality fish or two before I have to throw a new bait on. Also, the 3.5" and up sizes, can be fished on 3/0-6/0 comfortably. Tight lines!

    This was an epiphany for me. In North Florida we are starting to see this trend. The night has completely changed from May/June/July/August and is starting to hit the fall cool stride but daytime is still north of 90 degrees most every day. Add in tidal factors, hurricanes, and spring-fed rivers making waters cooler than reservoirs and it can be a really frustrating fishery, but I love it!

    Fishing RUclips needs to learn about presenting info in a way thats more easily retained. Dont get me wrong - theres a TON of excellent info here! So much though that ive had to skip around a lot a few times just to keep it all straight. Maybe a few seconds of a slide at the beginning or end that lists the broad overview? I understand you cant just post a bulletpoint of the video - you need people to watch! However, something that summarizes the big takeaways.
    * Forget old spots
    * Fish fast to cover water
    * Care about quantity of bites until you've found the fish (you'll come out way ahead!)
    * Lean on reaction baits
    * Fish zoom to hard structure when grass starts to die
    * Specific tips, recommendations, and explanations in the video
    I enjoyed the video and learned a ton and love the style and all the explanations, just some ideas that would help me. Thank you!

    From one tackle junkie to another😂 y’all should check out the new osp spinnuts and let us know if they are fish catchers. Ive never seen a type of soft plastic that’s made to be a underwater walking bait like it before. Seems like it could be a deadly technique for the bass that don’t want to come all the way to the surface to hit a topwater.

    Hey, what if the hard cover has a grass/weed bottom? I am thinking of this pad/grass area I've been catching them in, I remember seeing a fallen tree to the side, but the bottom of it is still soft weeds and grass. Will they go there and just wait for the grass to die? How do I fish it?

    When you were talking about going into the cove doesn't make any difference at the cold you're like 2 to 3 ft deep

    What if there isn't any herring or shad in my primary body of water? Bait doesn't school in the resecoir where I fish. Bluegill is the main forage by far in comparison to others.

    It's not just in lakes y'all, pay attention to this in all bodies of water.

    The mistake that will ruin my fall fishing is being on RUclips watching this instead of being out there fishing and learning from my mistakes that way.

    What should happen if the lake you fish is nothing but trees with no weeds or docks. Our lakes in Missouri are nothing but tons of standing timber. The bite on trees is the normal all summer

    Okay so here’s a serious question for you, I’ve been fishing for 2 months now after a buddy of mine got me back into it, I go out at least three times a week I’m currently a bank fisherman and I haven’t caught anything I’ve lost a bunch of lures getting snagged on rocks and lay downs but I haven’t caught a single fish, I know the areas I fish are super pressured but until I have a kayak or boat I’m stuck in those places so what can I do I’m enjoying my time out on the water cause it’s relaxing but I’m getting agitated cause I haven’t caught a single fish?

      I am having the same issues at the lakes I am able to fish at here in Oklahoma. Most of the shore is rip rap, you can barely get to down to the waters edge over all of the rocks and if you do find a spot where your able to stand, then you get your baits snagged on the rocks reeling them back in.

      If no grass it always was hard cover. But he didn't mention much of anything on the transition for highland places

    What about a lake with no docks or stumps... it has a couple trees around the bank hanging over the water and a rock bank... and should I throw a bluegill swimbait or crankbait if that's the only bait fish in that lake

    • @crackericeproductions
      @crackericeproductions 10 месяцев назад

      No just because they are the only fish doesn’t mean other lures won’t work not everything can be predicted in fishing just keep trying different things because you never know don’t overthink it

    • @crackericeproductions
      @crackericeproductions 10 месяцев назад

      And no dock or stumps then around the banks is good or rock structures would be ideal good luck
