  • Hello, and welcome to a special episode of Almost Cultured where we explore cultures in our own backyard!
We are Josh and Marissa, two best friends who believe that one of the best ways to learn about different cultures is through their food. We wanted to do just this and put our reactions on RUclips in hopes to inspire others to try foods that might be out of their comfort zone. In today’s episode, we open our very first viewer package from Greece. Thank you, Effie!
We are a completely brand new channel, so, if you like what you see and want to support us, please share this video with a couple of friends. It would mean the world to us!
Have a suggestion for what we should try next? Leave it in the comments.
Disclaimer: We are not food critics, and our thoughts and opinions about the foods that we try are subjective. We may not like a certain food or group of foods, and that’s okay. Just because we don’t like a particular food, does not mean we don’t like that culture all-together. We try to do research before sharing facts, but we are human, and throughout our journey, we may get things wrong. If this happens, please respectfully let us know, and we will work to correct any mistakes. Thank you!

The halva that you sampled is never meant to be eaten on its own. It is very popular during lent and is eaten along with bread, olives, tomatoes etc. The homemade halva is considered more of a dessert as it has a pudding like texture that requires you to eat it with a fork or a spoon.

This was so fun to watch! Came away with two take aways...salty snacks seemed to go over better than the sweeter ones & Marissa hates pb & 🥜! 😄 noted!

The I in ION chovolate is pronounced EE. So the bar is pronounced EON.

All of these sound delicious, especially the peanut butter ones. Marissa knows I will have almost anything nut related, so I will gladly take anything you get. Also, I feel I would be stubborn like Josh in opening those snacks. Finally - BLOW POPS!!!! (lollipop with gum in the middle)

Truly not sure where you're getting peanut butter flavor in the sesame pastelli. There's never peanut butter in our postelli. You're mixing up the flavor of sesame seeds with peanut butter.
