Great video Sir Marvs! I personally have the Sony 90 mm Macro and I love it! I do all my keyboard, toy and artisan photography with it. BUT after watching this, if I waited, I could've bought the Tamron 90mm instead!
Yes, I also like the Sony 90mm when I stil didn’t have the Tamron 90mm. Tito Jazz was trying to lason me with it haha kaha pinahiram niya sakin. I was seriously considering but when I looked up the price ang sakit 51-53k+ haha taps biglang nag announce si Tamron sabi ko, meant to be ata haha
@@TechBroll Nako! Si Tita Jazz din nag lason neto! Haha! But Im happy with the Sony 90 but my wallet would've been a bit happier with the Tamron 90 xD
where can I rent that lense here in makati? I need to test if for my underwater videography , I already have port lense for underwater and I just want to test if it fits..
I have no experience using the Tamron 90mm F2.8 on a Nikon body but I used to own a Nikkor 105mm back in the day when I was still using a Nikon body and I must say, that is probably my all time favorite macro lens that I also used for portraits. If you have the budget, you can never go wrong with the Nikkor 105mm
Hi TechBroll, awesome review... May I ask if you know how the Tamron compares with the Sigma 105mm DG DN Macro Art in terms of image quality (sharpness, contrast vignetting, Chromatic aberration, ghosts, flares, etc.) in general? Both lenses retail for about the same price. Thank you for such an awesome review!
Thank you for the appreciation. I haven't had the opportunity to experience the Sigma 105 DG DN Macro Art but based from my experience with Sigma lenses, especially the Art series, they are pretty good optically and extremely sharp. I would give the Tamron though the edge in terms of weight because the Sigma weighs around 715g compared to 630g of the Tamron. Also 9 blades of the Sigma over 12 of the Tamron but other than that, I can't give you a proper comparison unfortunately. I wish I'll have a chance to test the Sigma as well soon
Great video, I have been comparing the two. Can you please advise which focus ring/attachment ring that you are talking about? It was hard to understand as the speed of the video was a bit fast. Thank you again, great job.
Sir na curious lang ako, bat tamron 20-40 kinuha nyo not the Tamron 17-28? Nag ooverlap kasi sya sa 28-75 nyo 😊 btw i only have the tamron 28-75 G2 planning to get wider lens...
Perfect talaga siya for travel and photowalks. Pero I'll still keep my 28-75 kasi useful sakin yung range for overhead setup and close up shots ng mga products. Yung 17-28mm ok siya if mostly landscapes and vlogging ang gagawin mo pero masyadong kapos for me ang 28mm for other purpose
But why is nobody putting the new Tamron head-to-head with the Sigma 105 DG DN? The Sigma is superior to the Sony in terms of image quality, so why are we choosing to compare to the Sony which, by the way, was released in 2015? My gut tells me Tamron is sending their lens out to reviewers, but somehow "discouraging" them from comparing it directly to the Sigma. I'm not buying the hype of this lens until I see it reviewed against the Sigma.
I would love to do that since I also owned and used amazing Sigma lenses before, but I don't have a Sigma 105 DG DN lens and I also don't know someone close who does. It just happens that I have a friend who has a Sony 90mm otherwise, I won't include that comparison on this video. I completely understand your sentiment though. :)

Thank you for your video, I was looking for a current video in Spanish and couldn't find it, your video is very explanatory, thank you for the review.
Great review. What magnifying lens was that you had attached to the lens?
Thank you. It's the Raynox DCR-250
very good review Sir I'm also eyeing this lens hopefully gets it when released
Thank you, for me it's really worth it if kaya ng budget. Lalo na if you're doing macro and portraits talaga

Great review. I‘m thinking about getting this for 35mm film reproduction. Corner sharpness should be good enough at 5.6 for flat objects ai guess
Great review, kuya Marvs! I've been eyeing a macro lens to pair with my 24-70 and I'm considering this one.
For me, this is worth it bro!
More content like this sir 🙌🙌 nice review btw! Keep it up po 😊
Thank you po! means a lot
Did you try the tamron with the focus stacking feature to see if it's compatible?
Awesome review. I was planning to get a 85 1.8 also but I might reconsider the option. :)
Thank you! If ever you still want an 85mm 1.8, you might want to check out the Yongnuo 85mm 1.8 hehe
Its there perhaps a teleconverter that works with this lens?

Between this lens and the nikkor 105mm, which one should I get? Is it worth to pay 250 eur extra for the nikkor?

Great comparison but holy shit you need to add a trigger warning before you started flashing multiple giant spiders on the screen
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry! haha oopsie
