- In this tutorial, I will show you how to setup almost any USB microphone on a PS4 that you can use for gaming, party chatting and even live streaming. I will also show you the PS4 microphone settings that I use.
If you have a headset that may not have the best microphone or a pair of headphones that don't have a microphone attached then using a relatively good value USB microphone could be a solution.
PS4 microphone setup can be important if you want to make those minor changes to the default plug and play settings that you get from initially connecting a USB microphone.

Many thanks for the kind words
Hi I really hope you could help me here I have a razor mini pro and I have a PlayStation 4 plus and it wont show up whenever I plug it in
Very great info ❤
So if I plug my turtle beach headset with a built in mic, I can plug in the fifine mic and I’ll be able too switch the input and output. I’ve tried multiple mics and they won’t let me switch the input without switching both the input and output
I came to this video because I wanted to ask if there is a way to seperate the sound from your mic (your voice) and the sound from the game you are playing when recording?
Thank you! Thank you.
Took me a bit to find a great review.😃😃👍👍
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you found the video helpful
@conveyorofrandomness You're very welcome 😃😃 Thanks heaps for making it. Loved most of all is your calm voice. Relaxing to listen to. You have a voice to fall asleep to. 🙂🙂
Thank thank you thanks man thank you I can finnaly use my external microphone thank you
Glad I could help
Thx so much
You’re welcome
UNDERRATED
Thank you
So do the mics with the arms and the ones you have, is there any difference
No there isn't, it's just about what position you would prefer to have the microphone in when you are speaking
My ps4 doesn't recognize my external mic what do i do? It only appears kn the output part but never on input, ive tried putting it on the the other usb entrance but its the same. Its a GMICX-110
Have you tried plugging the mic into something else to check that there isn’t an issue with the mic itself and secondly, tried a different cable plugged into the ps4 (to check whether there’s an issue with the cable)?
Great video man thanks alot
Thanks Sohaib, glad you enjoyed the video!!
Yea but what if my mic dosent have a usb plug
Hello. I have a fifine mic with a 3,5mm jack for a headphones. But when i connt mic to the ps5 i can hear myself through the headphones connect to mic. Have any solution to fix that?
I have this same problem :(
I figured out how to fix it.
If the audio devices are switching automatically then turn off Switch Output Device Automatically
Plug in the USB mic first, then plug in your headset to your controller. Make sure both Input and Output are set to the Headset on Controller. Unplug the USB Mic and replug it back in. It should ask you to choose a profile, click the one you're using (obviously) and the mic should now be Input while your headset is Output
:)
@@Asnbbygirl thank you, but i mean something different)
I connect my headphones directly to the mic)
What about non usb headsets?
2 round plugs.
You’d probably need an interface, it depends if it’s XLR or RCA. 2 round plugs sounds like RCA which you could probably get an adapter from rca to usb but if XLR then you would need an interface
When i plug in the USB my PS4 don’t recognize it. Any soulution?
Same it won't even power the mic when I plug it in. It won't see it either
Do you think every microphone USB is compatible with a PS4?
With the PS4 interface, it seems like most USB microphones are compatible with the PS4. If the microphone is able to be automatically "installed"/configured with the generic USB driver than it should work with at least the basic features. Obviously, the mics with more advanced features are less likely to have those advanced features in most cases.
my ps4 doesnt recognize the microphone no matter what (my ps4 is a 2014 on software v9.04 and my mic is a neewer nw8000-usb)
I'm assuming you have tried to connect the USB microphone in both USB ports on the PS4?
@@conveyorofrandomness indeed i have
can u have the sound go thru the tv instead of the headphones
You should be able to set the output (in the PS setting) to your TV
My ps4 doesn’t read my microphone
My headphone jack does work but audio is very quiet and have no way of ajusting it
Have you tried increasing the volume in the PS4 audio settings?
Bro I have a hack for that I plug my Astros into my tv directly so I can turn the TV as high as I want and it's loud ASF cuz I I have 20in so I sit right at it
👍🏾
I’m using the razer seiren v2 pro and it’s not working?
Have you checked in the audio settings and changed the output sound device?
Yo I just bought the same mic and I’m not able to connect it, did you ever figure out why? Or am I finna have to just return it
My friend say he hears himself how do I fix tht I have a vivitar mic
You're friend should only hear himself if the volume coming through your speakers is loud to be picked up by the microphone, are you able to reduce the volume?
I have a yakomon micphone and it doesn't work on my ps4
Have you selected the input audio as the microphone in the PS4 settings?
@@conveyorofrandomness i figured it out, it was on auto and when I unselected it, it then worked.
Glad you found the solution….happy gaming 😀
@@conveyorofrandomness thanks and you too. Happy gaming😁
I plug my mic in, but it mutes my speakers and doesnt appear
Are you able to change the output device to your speakers (having the mic as your inout device only)?
@conveyorofrandomness nope no options
It doesn't matter though bc I have a ps5 now
is it normal to get electric shocks from the mic 😂
No, definitely not, stop using it immediately
what if it isnt a usb
So what cable does your mic use?
My microphone has a AUX-like port
This method only works with USB microphones
@@conveyorofrandomness indeed, I’ll try to find a cable that has a USB port, anyways, thanks for you help though, I really do appreciate it🙏🏾
