HAPPY EASTER TO ALL. Time to eat your body weight in chocolate. Today i have brought the new electric Stihl chainsaw, the MSA 220 model, if you would like a review video on it please let me know in the comments. I'm going to repair my old chainsaw, yes an engine strip down. Get ready for the collapse of the dollar and also oil prices ( petrol and diesel ) is going to get even more expensive in the coming months so get prepared ! Our water supply also came from a long way away. Clear across the entire property and across the neighbors property as well. After our third break we ended up spending a fortune and changing to a newer water main from the opposite direction. At least it is all new now.

Hello, blah ha ha the bastards will never get me down, as we mainly live of the land and create most of our own energy. They cant effect me with there silly games !! ha ha ! we need very little cash now to survive and the shit storm is all about needing loads of cash ! Back to basics and let the land provide for free ! I will be honest though the whole bird flu thing is a pathetic panic over very little ( I'm sure its about controlling our food supply and making it hard for us ! ) I've not seen one dead bird in the forest here ! and there is thousands, pheasants, owls, buzzards and all sorts its a bird watchers paradise ! all my hens and geese are fit as well. All is well here in Plymouth. The Council plans for Plymouth City centre have came to a stand still after the chopping down of over 100 trees, The City Centre looks like a scene from the apocalypse. Hello Nathan, yes i saw that on RUclips about the trees being cut down, shame on the council ! stupid fools ! the trees were fine where they was ! I've seen the aerial footage of the shopping centre. Yes i do work for a lumber jack some times but i have noticed that the only trees we are cutting completely down now are dead or dying trees or are causing a danger to peoples homes, ( most have a hair cut ) its great to see that the public now wanting to save trees. Last week we cut down a non native huge eucalyptus tree , it was rotten down the centre of the trunk and i think would have fell soon onto a public footpath ! and hit a chicken run in a neighbours garden ! thanks Nathan keep safe and well.

Very sad about the trees as they were planted as a sign of hope and regeneration after Plymouth was so badly bombed during the second world war. The weather has been a bit rough down here in Plymouth over the Easter with very high winds. Did you get any fire wood form the tree as i saw you mention in a previous video you were getting low. @@nathanjohnhendry9529 I did not know about the trees regarding the ww2, that's sad. The owner kept the wood from his tree we cut, its getting more normal for people to keep the wood now because of the energy costs, i have plenty of wood here but it was damp and not cut to size to fit in the burner. its dried now and lots cut today. We really must keep the house warm as a baby has just arrive today here that needs fostering. Poor little thing has not been treated well by parents, yes we are back fostering for a few months. Hello Jill. we are rich in resources but poor in earning money ! ( had to dip into my emergency money for a new chainsaw ) but im enjoying all the challenges it all brings. Must admit though I'm sick of cutting wood right now ! its been a long winter. thanks Jill. It can all get a bit overwhelming at times can't it! Our well pump started tripping the RCD - got the wiring box open on the pump to discover most of it sitting in water. Satisfying to fix when you flick the switch and it all works again though. Best of luck for this years endeavours.

Hello, yep i have discovered that the more your self sufficient you are with food and energy the less this shit storm will effect you. Don't rely on them because that's where the control comes from ! More solar and battery banks are going in this year, extra food to be planted. Im sure they are out to control our food ! I'm also going to build a solar charging electric velo mobile for totally free travel and a small boat/ tender come dingy thing is also being refurbished for a spot of free fishing ! Hello Trev, tell me about it ! the winter has been a tougher one and long ! I bet you also cant wait for the hot weather so you can enjoy your motor home even more ! Yes the chicks are for food except for 4 hens to help replace some older chickens i have. The older chickens will then become what they call " old boilers " to make them tender to eat. They will cook for about 6 hours on the stove for a lovely curry or chicken pie filling. We are now earning very little cash and poor in money but we are rich in resources from the land ! just how i like it ! ha ha, perfect to counter act the cost of living crisis ! Hello, blah ha ha no gift cards ! Ive got some bad news, Sophie ( who is now 17) has been begging for independents so she has now moved into the caravan. She has been over there for over a week and is loving her new freedom. She also is earning a good wage from working and living independently over there with food and all that. She also now has a car and learning to drive ! Sadly with the cost of houses these days i cant see her ever being to afford her own house. She also wants to build her own cabin in our garden on a piece of land that already has an existing building there on the plans/deeds of our land in the long term future ! the good news is she said she dont want to move away because then she can look after us when we get to old ! ha ha. Its so sad that people have not got a clue, but for the standard BBC watcher they have branded climate lock downs as a conspiracy and just go on about the benefits of cleaner air for all ! ( i see the crap BBC news report they put out branded us as almost as terrorists for wanting freedom to travel !! ), well the good news is cameras are being sprayed and wires cut ! ha ha. Gary ur amazing me with u home plating set up. Look up reco heat. U couod make one for ur own wood burner get an extract 1kw out of the flue to the room and spreads the heat more evenly. Might make one myself. Battery stil is the best option. Good luck keep the videos going
Hello Marcus, I've just looked at the video on reco heat and their web site, yes it does look good, loads of heat does get wasted up the flue. In my old house the metal flue was exposed all down stairs then it went through to the upstairs in the bedroom still exposed. It heated the bedroom really well , we had not brick chimney in that home so it had to be done in pipe only. At the moment i have been trying to insulate the cottage much better to help retain heat, once that is fully complete i will check this reco heat unit out more, thanks for this info, i need to burn less wood ! probably burn about 5 to 6 metric tonne per year ! thanks and take good care
Hope your ribs are feeling a bit better, it’s surprising how much it hurts because we don’t tend to be aware of them when they’re ok, once I couldn’t put the car into reverse gear when I had a bad chest infection, it was agony 😮yes please would really like a Stihl chainsaw video please 😊it has been interesting to hear you talk about being self sufficient and frugal because I am coming to realise there is a massive overlap between the two approaches. Hello Tara, yes i will do a quick chainsaw video. Yes it felt like i had been hit several times with a baseball bat ! Self sufficiency and frugalness helps massively also prepping is a good thing to do, don't rely hugely on governments to survive !, they are the ones that are trying to drag us down and keep us beneath them ! The weather, nature and my wife are the only ones that dictate to me ! ha ha !. I know have this electric chainsaw and have starting using it, no more fuel is needed ! another step further away from the crumbling system, i have the ability to charge it for free with my solar power if the grid goes down. Hello, the chicks are a complete mish mash of many breeds, some of which are maroon, Sussex, Indian game and Araucanas, this is to get many different coloured eggs. Hello Bry, im afraid James is a bit on the lazy side at the moment, huffing and puffing when asked to help ! not fun to be around. But im pleased to say that Sophie has now coming out of the other side of being a moody teenager ! polite, helpful and working hard in her job. She got her first fifty pound note last month in her monthly tips pay packet ! I've not seen one for so many years ! she was so proud of it ! she works at a pub hotel restaurant place now in the local town. What airgun have you got Gary and do you use it for the rats?
Hello, I have a crossman 2240 hand held gas canister gun and a SMK20 M air rifle with the spring that you have to cock down, this is a cheap rifle but its at the very top of the legal limit and very accurate. The cats deal with the mice and rats but i use the guns for dispatching my chicken, i put them in a cone and knock them instantly out with a pellet direct in the head. I also use them for squirrels and pigeons who are eating there way though my garden ! I use laser dots on the guns for very quick targeting. Thanks for your question, keep safe and well.

Hello Deborah, lovely to hear from you, yes they are being left in a little longer to grow, but in their second year in early summer they will go into flower so i will be harvesting them before that happens as they can become a little tough to eat. You are doing the right thing in planting plenty of food, things are going to get even worse ! the current system no longer works in this modern world and it never will even in the future. Hello, yes I've only just got it and used it once, as soon as the weather picks up i will do a video, at the moment we have a bit of a storm coming by on the south with plenty of rain. Getting sick of this weather ! ha ha. The stilh ms220 is what i got, but would have liked the ms300, that was out of stock with 4 month waiting list ! the man said in the shop that electric stihl chainsaws sell fast ! I will say though it is great , they are expensive but when you think about it if we used gas heating a new boiler is around £2000 or more, without a chainsaw we don't have heating here and cast iron wood stove last forever, so a small price to pay. My last chainsaw lasted for about 7 years so I'm hoping this one will last 10 years with free energy costs as I'm charging it on solar. Thanks for your comment, keep safe and well.
