Good day Bo, Frik here the SA player that came 8 in Nationals and won best commander award.(you really disliked my list ,all in good spirit)I am a DAK plyer and consider a new faction and really like the Italians. But in BA they seems to be over Nerved with really bad national rules and some lacking in the field of mobility and armor. I proxied 3 games now and won one ,draw one and lost one. Here is my Question do you think its worth spending money on a nation like Italians that may never be competitive in tournaments and nationals. I like them a lot and like the challenge to make them work or at least make my opponent think twice about Italians being a pushover in BA. Just your take and maybe ideas on a nice Italian list. Also do you think Warlord will consider relaxing on maybe one of the bad two national rules. Lastly. In BA dos your unit rule or specialty trump the nations rule. Like Italians if your 3 and more kill points down dos the unit rule of not taking an order test trump the national rule .
Italian GRPs are a labour of love andd not competitive. But they will hone your skills , as you will be fight ing with one hand behind your back. I don't think WG will redo italian any time soon, but some TOs are stating to allow Italy V2 by Lorenzo. That fixes much of the problem.
