Could you share the part number for the engine drive air compressor and it's location on the engine ? Thanks
Unfortunately not near the truck at the moment, but from memory it's located on the passenger side of the engine off the accessory drive. Air dryer is nearby on passenger frame rail and the air tank can be found under / behind the cab on the driver side near the battery box. No idea on the compressor part number off the top of our head, but think it's tied to RPO's KUT and JPY.
@WCFab thank you for the reply. I have been saving for the kelderman air suspension kit, but before committing to a specific air pump kit I wanted see the differences between the kelderman air pumps and the engine driven oem one.
Very much looking forward to the next episode of this build! Looks awesome so far! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Thanks Tanner! We’re definitely excited to share more about this build and getting it out on the road to some events later this year.
Is this available for the 2wd 5500?
We are only aware of Kelderman offering this kit for the 4x4 models at this time.
Never clicked on a notification so fast 😂 been waiting on an update
It has been my dream truck to tow recreational vehicles. I’ll get one and I’ll be seeing you. Gary John
Awesome been waiting a video like this on this truck
Price??
Please give us a call at 630-277-8239 to speak with our service writer about a quote and scheduling for your project.
Does the air ride system need to be installed before the bed is on a ram 5500? Thanks
Yes, we recommend completing the install before the bed is in place or planning to remove the bed as part of the installation.
What's the tow rating?
What is the payload rated at on the rear 4 link
This kit is designed to be comparable in performance to the factory leaf springs while offering significantly improved ride quality.
When is part 3 coming?
Truck has been out of our shop for a bit getting some new goodies built and installed, but is coming back this week and we hope to have a new episode ready this month. You’ll also be able to check it out in person at the upcoming Ultimate Callout Challenge and Daytona Truck Meet events.
It shouldn't take $20,000 to make a $70,000 truck ride better!
THESE TRUCKS RIDE SO BAD THEY WILL BREAK YOUR BACK.
i own several of the older generation 4500/5500 they all ride horrible. you have to ratchet strap your kidneys in.
Looks like Wehrli red to me
Does the Kelderman system limit the articulation of the rear axle??
We are not aware of any articulation concerns with the Kelderman kit.
@@WCFab Thanks. I am considering this exact truck and suspension kit as a platform for a camper build.
@@bakerfamilyoverland996 if anything, your going to experience even greater articulation because this is a true 4 link system. The sway bar will limit that some, but not nearly as much as the OEM leaf pack.
@@WCFab Good to know because I plan to take the truck off-road. Nothing too crazy just to some back country camping spots.
How much are we looking at $ I have a 2019 chevy 5500. And would love to have it done .
Hi Miguel, please email us at sales@wcfab.com or give us a call at 630-277-8239 (and press option 4) during normal business hours and we would be happy to help get a quote put together for you.
@@WCFab As the saying goes, if you have to ask, you can't afford it.
Easily 20k, just for the parts alone
For both the front and rear
Do you plan on converting the front end to air ride too
Let’s just say you won’t want to miss the next episode. 😉
