Quick question, I’m probably gonna do this to my 650i, I understand that the navigation won’t carry over to the HUD, but the HUD still works right?
Also, do you notice a difference in call quality? My OEM unit is terrible so I’m hoping that this one is actually a little better. Thanks man!
Thank you! Yes the hud still works like normal. I would not be able to do this if I lost my hud 😫😂 but as far as the call quality it’s about the same as before

Does it look like there are spaces in between the screen and the dashboard? I like this screen a lot better too. Do you think it will also work for a 2013 BMW 528i M Sport?
I got this upgrade month ago myself fitted it myself - i had the reallyy small screen before so was a really good upgrade

I always loved the interior of the f10 it was the one of the key factors that made me fall in love with the car, but this suits it aswell, it’s a perfect car

Super big thanks for the video, and all your videos on your nice M5. I also have an F10 M5. When you use the new navigation apps like zlink and waze, does any of the navigation information show up in your heads-up display? For example, in the normal BMW navigation, an upcoming turn shows up in the heads-up display. Or when you use the zlink or waze navigation apps, you don't get any navigation information in the heads-up display anymore?

I want to upgrade to the same screen, where did you get this at I didn’t see the link in your description… so I saw how easy it was to install but a few questions I had:
1. When you put everything back together do the wires stick out in the back!?
2. And you were able to connect your Apple iPhone to the system wireless correct!?

Great video! I was going through the ordering process and there were a bunch of options that increased the price from $459 to over $800. Can you let me know if you purchased any of these options, and whether you think they are necessary? Also, the 10.25” pop-out looks/fits way better than the 12.3” that some other manufacturers offer. Thanks again.

Great video! Can you set the aftermarket display so when you go to it, it automatically opens CarPlay? I am wondering because I would want to have it turn on to I drive then be able to just go to CarPlay and not have to go through the aftermarket display.
I was driving a 2020 BMW X2 for a couple of days because my car was getting fixed up at the bmw dealership so they gave me that car as a loaner and it has the exact same screen. Might switch up the screen to this on my 535i!
Totally worth it man, even just for the difference in quality.
I just bought a 2011 535i and this a must, since my 2018 X1 has it.

Yessir, you can set it to use the oem back up camera screen
Does it have the regular CarPlay colors instead of the one in the video? Plus it can’t run off strictly Bluetooth? Or does it have to run off a hotspot feature off your phone

I have a chinese screen but the fitting looked exactly same. I have the single Din unit but had a big problem fitting in all the wire.
Also did you have to use the Aux cable, and can you have the bluetooth connected to both the iDrive and and the bluetooth of the new screen.
hey @Anthony was the problem in the coding like NBT vs CIC? or was it just sizing. Excited to see the new wrap!
It was just sizing, I was able to adjust it on the android factory settings
How is the call quality? Does the mic go through the head unit or factory mic above driver and passenger?
What screen size did u get and how do I find out if I have CIC or NBT Idrive system? Mines a 2013 so looks like it could be either but how do I check? Thanks for the video, this will be a great upgrade as I've always felt the stock display is a bit outdated. This should definitely fix that :)
Try looking at your navigation version, it usually says CIC or nbt. I got the 10.25” model

Ok, I'm a little confused. Can you provide a link to the actual parts necessary for this upgrade? Is this all included in the "Android Screen Upgrade" or do you need to purchase the "Apple Carplay/Android Auto Interface" as well? Looks like a cool system.
If you go on the website you can see that there's an option for built in wireless CarPlay. You would have to pay to get this feature. But everything else is included for the most part.

Whats going on bro, you can go into the Android factory settings &’ you have to enter a passcode. Not sure if it would be the same but the one they gave me was 070305. There you can go into display settings &’ change the resolution

It's not required but people do it to reduce heat

@@anthonyulloa4004 Yes, same procedure. Thanks. I just installed couple days ago. Looks way more modern than the tiny screen. The only drawback is little slow response every time I shiftbin to reverse.

I believe I just did the CarPlay &' LG display. Unfortunately the CarPlay navi doesn't show on the HUD though
does the back look flush? or does it look aftermarket? I have a 535 m sport and this would look nice. The website has both options of OEM or popped out. Just curious how the back looks.

Hi, there should be no gap between display and dashboard. OEM display stays and you don't loosing none of the features.

Yeah I left the oil bypass mod on there, I never had any issues

No I did not, you have to set your audio to aux though in the iDrive menu

Exactly the same product in Germany, the same box, same instruction with the name "TAFFI" instead of "iNAV" . I ordered the 10.2" because I like how integrated the display in 5series is and didn't want to change it.
