How is the night time brightness? Can it get really dim or not? How is the brightness controlled?
Recently fitted one syste in 520D with SIM slot. Inserted one sim and worked fine. Remove the samr sim and inserted again then it's stopped working. Tried several time but no use. Tried in mobile its workinh fine.
Inserted anither carrier sim and started working. Taken out the sim and inserted again and the same issue started.
Again inserted another new sim and started working fine. Today again i taken out don't know why the system not detecting the sim.
Tried reboot, restart method several times but no response.
Can anyone through some light in to this or suggest some solution?...

How to enable USB (wired) connection for CarPlay?
To answer myself, wired CarPlay is not supported. On top of this, CarLetter app (CarPlay) does not run at a native 2560x720 resolution resulting in the blurry UI. Not sure about Android Auto, but given that CarPlay/AA is probably going to be the most used feature on these screens, this is a huge miss. Returning mine.

Did you have any issues with the backup camera, I don’t have any output video but my sensors still work
Not at all.
It sounds like if you have a wrong setting. (There should be a setting to select the reverse camera options like: oem camera, aftermarket camera etc)

Great video. I was hoping that you would show the screen in the dash from the side and the rear once fitted, as I want to make sure that it looks "clean" before committing to the 15inch as opposed to the 10 inch.

Does it show the tpms information from the oem bmw sensors?
Hi I bought a Pemp model a few years ago, but I somehow cannot utilize the Carplay and play the radio at the same time, does this model overcome that, it's particularly annoying when I use Waze to Navigate and cannot listen to the radio
Hey man, so these units come with a small speaker which you install for that (I just didn't install it because I use Carplay all the time)
takes way too long to boot after starting the car, if it weren't for that I'd consider getting one 🤔

As this is a right hand drive car, should the CarPlay menu be on the right side? Any idea how you might change this ?

Usually if you open the app (the one that gives you the option for Carplay) without your phone being connected then it should allow you to go into that app settings and change it to LHD / RHD
Is there no way for the audio to be fed digitally vs. AUX (analogue)?
A subscriber told me recently that it's possible with Bimmercode yes.

You should change the camera settings from Aftermarket to Original then it will work.

Which screen size do you think looks better in BMW F10,? 10.25, 12.3 or 14.9? I don't like the digital cluster.

Personally the 15" looks amazing (only if you also have the Digital instrument cluster) if not then I would prefer the "in dash" 10.25 inch.

@@amalasok9351 Personally I would not get the 14.9 inch without the Digital Instrument Cluster.. (It just looks amazing together.) and if I can't get the 14.9 inch I would personally rather get the 10.25 inch unit. (Just looks better in my opinion)

can you use the built in bmw mics or the bmw gps without using the chinese one? i also want to maintain the use of the stock maps too
@@socommaster You can still use the iDrive system like usual so you can still use that maps.
Regarding the Mic, the oem one in this video was basically useless so it's way better with the aftermarket one. But unfortunately you can't usd the oem mic with the aftermarket radio's

@@socommaster what I meant was the microphone that came with the car was really bad... So could never really use it because of the bad quality.
And yes there is no connection to it with the aftermarket units.

I installed it idk where to install the back up camera cable and the I connected the aux cable in the middle and I still get no sound

Regarding the sound. Did you swap the Fiber Optic cables correctly?(If not ghen you will see that the iDrive controller also won't work properly.) and it might sound stupid but did you also make sure that the original system was changed to AUX?

Left out the fact that you need to keep a wire connected to your aux output in order to get audio.

You can do AUX delete with bimmercode then you don't need to plug the aux cable at all. Let me know if you need help

CDMM_AUX_HU to active
CDMM_USB_AUDIO_SINGLE to not active
CDMM_USB_AUDIO_DOUBLE to not active

Hi, sometimes it doesn't need the AUX but mostly it uses it.
I'm still going to test it but someone said that you can actually code it with bimmercode not to use AUX

Can you put the screen off when driving?
When you put the gear in R, does the original screen pop up with the sensors? Because i do not have a rear camera and i am not planning to install it either.
Is it dangerous because of the possible heat? I like to go on vacation in the summer where it is hot throughout the day..

Yes the brightness is adjustable (There is apps to dim it even more to your liking)
Yes you can switch off the screen.
Regarding the reverse camera, so this BMW has the OEM reverse cam and it shows the OEM system while reversing but if you install an aftermarket reverse cam you can just change the settings and it will integrate perfectly with the camera and your sensors (So it will look like the factory one). We also sell the Boot handle reverse camera's that replaces your oem handle with a new one with the camera fitted.(you can take a look on our website).
Regarding the heat, firstly it is important to get a goon quality product as there is so many fake units out there, but this units we have is really good high end quality and we haven't had any issues with heat ever.
This BMW is also the 2011 F10.
