Scorpio might be a little fast but i think its the wagon-r fault for not giving signal in advance.
And about the pushing of his vehicle his car weight around 1 ton but that model scorpio weight more then 2 ton so yaa if he was speeding very fast then your car would have had more damage and also its maruti car so build quality is like Tin Daba.
Dont only go blaming speed limit most important learn to give signal at proper time.

It’s clearly the WagonR’s fault. If he’s going to take left turn or want to stop somewhere he should have taken the slow lane side from before. Just because he gave the left indicator doesn’t mean he’s right. There’s time for every signal and every action.
Another thing is that, if the WagonR didn’t slowed down suddenly why is there so many cars behind him hitting eachother?

I feel that the wagonR suddenly gave signal and slowed/turned for turning...(which Great Naga people always do).....when signal must be given before reaching his turning point atleast 10 to 15 metres.

The first driver (who seemed like to be a police officer) who brags like he had all the rights is the one who is to be charged according to the law. If he wants to stop to deliver anything to anyone (be it the highest ranking official), he don't have any right to block/obstruct or cause inconvenience to other commuters on the highway. This is a HIGHWAY! And anyone should understand that.
And logically, he is also speeding and slowed down suddenly cos he saw his friend waiting for him and thus consequently the aftermath. Because nobody drives blindfolded! A highway means a highway. 70-80kmph is very normal.
And yes I'd he have to stop and deliver something, he should have banked to the slower lane and find a proper/safe parking space that is not hazardous to himself and all the other commuters on the highway.
Anyway, his attitude says that he has some power with some politicians behind his back... This is Nagaland. God bless my Nagaland....

The 1st car, the wagon R should have been in the left lane if it was taking a left turn. In the video it is in the right lane and the overtaking lane.

Just that speed limit is displayed doesn't mean people follow the exact rules( even though we should). The first car(wagon r), in my opinion, should've taken the left lane first using signal then slow down. Slowing down in the fast lane(right lane) is dangerous no matter the signals being blinking.

The main question is if that scorpio was speeding how comes two cars behind also got effected with the accident. If the owner of the wagonR wants to claim that scorpio was crossin the speed limit, i would like to address that even the wagonR was not maintaining the speed limit of 50kmps.
Morever he has no right of sudden right/ left turn or sudden braking ( break checking by which is consider an offence) in the fast lane of the freeway/ highway.

Anyway, on a more serious note with regard to this accident, the Wagon R driver was def at fault.
In all probability he intended to stop at the left shoulder lane and if so he should have been on the left lane long before he reached his desired stopping point on the left shoulder lane. SPEED LIMIT is there but 0 km/Hr. in the middle of a national highway to change lane is also not allowed nor is sudden lane changing on a national highway. If the Scorpio was speeding his wagon R rear end will be chutney.
He's Talking about the misuse of Speed Limit.. But remember the Car was Just On your Tail when you Pumped the Brake! Which means y'all were on the Same speed or maybe lesser than the Speed of your Car. 😊
Seems wagon r don't have much damage meaning it was not hit that hard by Scorpio or else maruti cars gets smash easily because of their low build quality...seems like a sudden turn signal and braking by wagon r cause a chain reaction on the on-coming cars
Just simply giving an indicator signal wont make you the sensible person in every situation. Giving a signal to take a turn to the left side (he was obviously not changing lane to the slow lane, according to what he said, probably was planning to take a complete turn to make a stop or a turn) and hitting the brakes when you are already on the right( fast lane) side is just mind blowing.
Partly it might be the Scorpio's fault too, for probably tail-gating at high speed. So let these Uncles discuss it among themselves and the Traffic Authorities 👍
One advice .
Always check both side mirror and also the inside mirror before making a move.
One cannot just give signal anytime and change lane suddenly.
If you know you're going to get off the highway , be in the left lane in advance and use the indicator early.
If you miss an exit or a stop dont just step on yhe brake or give indicator and stop, go ahead and stop or take a U-Turn and come back again
Drive safe and leave less room for errors for yourself and others.
1st car fault. Much worse case awaits than this in NH29 ... Overtaking should be done only from one side ,there should be a clear rule from the Traffic deptt. stating that all trucks ,autos and vehicles travelling at low speed should always drive on the low speed lane which is the left . I don't get why slow moving vehicles make other drivers to overtake them from the wrong side and why traffic police are doing nothing for this. This issue must be addressed at the earliest or we will see fatal tragedy someday soon.
You can come up with as many rules as possible, but have you ever seen us Nagas follow those rules?
Don’t know whose fault exactly but If I’am going to take left or gonna park on the left side , I give signal and stay on left lane in advance so I do not confuse other vehicle behind me by braking sudden and giving signal suddenly . Same goes to going right lane and right U turn. I have seen many drivers braking suddenly and giving signal suddenly in just a 4-5 feet away from their destination or U turn leading the vehicle behind lose control .

It's WagonR fault. Because he said were going to Gas Agency, that means is he going to park his car on the Right side of the road? If he is not clear where the Agency is, he should have drove on the left side of the road, since he can park on the left side of the road. Lastly there no U turn on near that Area.
Why is the reporter taking the report from only one driver? What about the other driver??? His opinion and reason doesnt matter naki??? Doesn't mean you know how to steer the steering makes you a driver. Please learn the traffic rule first. We demand for good road but we are still so uncivilized that we dont even know basic traffic rules on highway. What a shame re!!!!

Several times almost hit vehicles coz of their sudden changing lanes without showing indicators or showing indicators suddenly . Likewise some vehicles almost hit our car , as they don't keep any distance behind vehicles .
All the Nagaland drivers should be taught how to drive , use signals , blow horns , shifting lanes etc etc .
1. It is when you don't use the indicator when required.
2. Over speeding that exceeds the limit of Traffic rules.
3. The third and the fourth were on high-speed simultaneously. It would have been stopped from hitting if the brake was used on time.
4. First press the brake pedal down then clutch. The culture of pressing the clutch pedal before you actually press the brake then it becomes danger. It will take you to some extent specially when it is on high speed.

It’s purely the Wagon-R’s fault, trying to justify his statement for the sake of speed limit but, come on even Auto rickshaws runs above 50 on national highway ,he forgot he was on the wrong lane to switch on to other side,..no driving etiquettes..👎🏿..
Note: check ur brake lights and indicators frequently..
use ur indicator signals before taking U-turn( min 50 meters before reaching the intersections)….

Apart from using indicators, always take a quick glance at all the three rear mirrors before taking a turn or changing lanes. This will help to calculate the distance between your vehicle and others coming behind you ,then make a decision according the situation. Your rear view mirrors are the eyes and ears especially when driving or riding. This simple procedure can prevent a lot of future accidents.

Even the law allows for compromise which is also known as settlement. i.e if both the parties comes to agreement or understanding of the situation then they have all the rights to settlement/compromise. It applies to all compoundable offences.
Most people in Nagaland dunno how to drive... Fk seat belts or lowering high beam light they only use turn signal right when they wanna take a turn. Turn signals should be given slightly in advance so the person behind u can know to overtake or slow down.
Bro this is exactly what happen yesterday in 7th mile the car ahead of me stop and turn left with giving indicator I almost hit him and the fun part is after entering half part of the car only he gave the indicator🤣🤣
Shortest example speed limit is 50km/hr and there is sign that shows cleary to drive slow within 20 meters before reaching conjunction but I see some people just flying their car by 30-40 km in junction

If going above the speed of 30 p/h than atleast 10 metre should be the distance between the vehicle infront of you. Above 40 p/h than it should be 15 metre
Keeping such distances between each other in town (I.e starting from Chumu) during rush hours will cause more problem than good...
...Rather ..learning to use signals at a right time will eliminate most of the problems..👍🏻
WagonR should be on left side if he wanna turn left. On top of that signal at the very end when reach junction where he wanna enter.

When you are behind any vehicle please maintain atleast 25 to 50 metres if you're at a speed of 40 to 60 kmph, this is very important for those who are driving, it should have avoided if we keep our distance from each other

..I think the first car might've slowed down drastically (all of a sudden) to take a left turn. If so then in such case, Pile-Up is bound to happen...which is every driver's nightmare esp. in big cities..

Yes overspeeding is one of the causes, but its not only bcuz of that-dont know how some pple get driving license, the mirrors are just der for decoration. That being said sudden brakes and turns should be avoided espcially in fast lane.
I know it's National Highway and no way speed breakers are applicable but let me be insane here. . Speed breaker is the only solution after every 1000 meter. Remember? The old bumby road? We complained but no lives were lost on this road like today.

For people saying drivers to use left lane which is suppose to be the slow lane, I'm sorry to inform that in India the left lane is also used for parking vehicles, buses, bicycle lane, temporary stops lane for auto rickshaws. It is impossible to drive on the left lane without using right lane constantly to steer away from all the obstacles. Left lane sounds right but it's unrealistic. Also slow heavy trucks and equipments use the right lane most of the time because they too cannot use the left lane.
Have u ever driven in NH 29 from Dimapur to Kohima or Kohima to Dimapur ? Don't focus only from Dimapur to Chummu .Drive from dimapur to Kohima once dude,you will see that slow moving vehicles and trucks will always drive the entire distance in the right ,speed lane and they won't even give space even though you honk at them with full glory,which leaves the driver to overtake them from the wrong side.ñ What we want to say is beyond that,trucks and slow moving cars are so ignorant to drive on the right lane when their speeds are just so low ,they let us overtake from the left side,which is not the right way.

@@Unbiased_Naga yea i use that dima to kohima road all the time, crazy drivers on that road, everyone is speeding, nearly died once when a van merged suddenly infront because he was overtaking in a blind curve and a huge truck came out from the incoming lane. People got to slow down a bit, everyone is obsessed with speeding.

One thing I hate about us Nagas recently and our mindset is that, if anyone drive an suv they become so dramatically proud that they have to overtake the other small cars and go ahead of them by hook or by crook even when there is no appropriate space for overtaking. I have noticed that the bigger the car in Nagaland the more respect you get even from the traffic police. So funny. If u happen to drive a Hatchback in Nagaland ,Khatam,you will be harassed and bullied by everyone. Just so cheap mindset and attitude of us Nagas.
