Yeah, I bought one at the original price of $175-$200 or so, and I LOVE IT! The level of detail on this thing is crazy, and I thought the Centipede from New Wave Toys took it to another level. But these 1/4 scale models are just the best, as being this size, allows for perfection in every way. Where the 1/6 scale or smaller may have the proper details depending on the game, as Centipede was about perfect, while Tempest was not. Tempest isn't bad, but the rotary controller is far from perfect, but functional. If that would have been 1/4 scale, they could have nailed it like this Pac-Man, Numskull for sure has a buyer for life, as these are amazing(at least the 1st one has been). EDIT: And for the record, YES this is 10x better than the 1up Arcade quality, NO QUESTION!
It's true the quality is better the an Arcade 1up machine.
I had this from day 1. I am also getting Galaga when it comes out soon. I also have Ms Pacman and Galaxian pre-ordered too. I plan to pre-order the other 3 soon :) I love these things.
I also bought this from day one. And i pre ordered the other 6 coming out. In order, the next releases should be Galaga, Ms Pac-Man, Galaxian, Track & Field, Dig Dug, and Space Invaders
Wow this looks beautiful. I might pick one of these up. A mongolian buffet has an original cab of this game with the fast board in it. I'll be playing that baby next time i go.
Very interesting stuff. Thanks for the video on this Quarter Scale Arcade Game.
Thanks for sharing your honest opinion on this. I was not aware of it existing.
Totally agree with your opinion. A track and field version is coming out next year and tempted as its my favourite arcade game so would consider paying full price. Other models i would only think about it if they were under £100
I love Pac-Man, but Ms. Pac-Man is queen in my heart! I also like the idea of it, but I would always think about what I paid every time I look at it.....then have buyer's remorse. Thanks for sharing it MLP! Definitely intriguing!
Honestly is truth :D I like Galaka too 0/ I can not wait to see you review it :3
Very nice replicas.
I wish there was Dip Switch Settings on this to keep consistent with other games.
Does this have a demo/display mode that will auto run if you just want it as a display unit? Or do you have to play it to get anything going on screen?
SomethingToFear Its running the original arcade rom so it has the same demo mode as the original arcade machine.
Big Pacman fan but not for expense thing and mini arcade not really I mostly get stuff on cheap
Their website says 189!
First inkling 0/
I own it and I'm never selling it, close thing to a full size cabinet
Your good at pacman
cool video tech talk madlitle pixel
Almost cost as much as Arcade1up version
wait... this is the official namco bandai product right? amazon 214$.... i think this is the exact, but official product. rather buy the bandai one, than numskul or whatever their name is.
Tom Landolt this is official Bandai namco product.
Real or fake talk?
WTF??? Another baby arcade? Is this some american thing, playing miniature arcades? For me this has no nostalgic value, and I'm guessing most people will play these for a few hours, before it ends up in the closet...
That's opposite of the American stereotype that America likes everything big. Also this Pac-man arcade is from the UK. Nobody would put it in a closet when its mostly a collectable display piece.
haha yeah its an American thing made by a company in the UK. :P lol
The british people know they can cash in on this american mini arcade craze 😜
@@baardbi lol i had a feeling youd say that.
Would never spend $200 on something like this especially without it having a arcade stick on it?
1000000% not 1/4 scale
Lol I always think that... Like scaled from what? Is it if you made this 4 times its size itd be original scale? Definitely not. Or is it cheat math? Double its size, double that, then double that and one more double and its original scale?
@@Madlittlepixel thanks for the response, btw, LOVE your channel, you and MVG are my go to guys for retro gaming information, keep it up big balla
It is definitely 1/4 scale. If you can do simple math, you would know that. SMFH
so if we stack 4 of those together, it would be the same height and width of a normal arcade machine? bahahahaha, ok
