Penelope's continual insistence that she loves Colin for himself and that she was entirely honest about his writing finally getting past his insecurities and fears that she never really loved him and will reject him like Marina did. Her insistence of the truth of her feelings is helping to tare the walls down he's recently put up.
I think that’s right he is terrified of Pen leaving him her independence and not needing him but she tells him I love you I love you she wants him hear her it doesn’t matter I love you for you . I love this scene because they so honest now there only honest truth pure love
So jealous of her success as published writer her independence strength intelligence to have pulled publishing and most famous woman in Mayfair he so jealous it breaking him . But he obviously obsessed with her in love god emotionally charged scene well played Nicola and Luke
This guy is really hurt - he asked if she never respected him to write such awful things abt her in whistle down and how he felt humiliated when she complemented his writing, implying that he felt mocked 🥹🥹 I am glad they portrayed a vulnerable colin instead of a toxic one
From what I've heard from others who've read the books you're right that the book Coin has a much more of an anger problem even to the point he actual injured her at times through roughly grabbing her. That he is much more controlling and that he is the one who is behind her shadowing her secret in n the book. The series really does seem to solve a lot of issues with the book Colin.
I love that regardless of Colin's anger towards Pen's carelessness and independence he still desires and protects her 😍

I’ll never get over this horse. Lord Basilio’s revenge most certainly.

My absolute favorite scene
It's a great scene.
The acting is incredible!
They should get an Oscar for best actor and actress tbh

Janet Jacksons' Anytime Anyplace comes to mind. 😊
All she needed was his love and support
I wish these two did pride and prejudice I wanna see them as Darcy and Elizabeth 😊
Fantastic idea!
Sweet love burst 🧡
