This story line was more mature and complex than the first. It pulled the audience in more emotionally than Simon and Daphne. Jonathan Bailey is so exceptional and made this story come to life. Every look, the pitch and pace of his voice. I know it's a guilty pleasure show but this man is exceptional at his craft
Wholeheartedly agree. The performances were gorgeous. So nuanced and heartfelt and human. The way the writers matured Antony’s character was exceptional. The storytelling this season was so thoughtfully crafted. I just thought this season was absolute perfection. 🧡
His acting is one of the best performance ive ever watched. his face expressions is just on point. His face muscle moves in many emotional scenes and when his expressions when he is holding his emotions to kate is juust... making me speechless ❤❤

yeah... i'm gonna need jonathan bailey to star in anything romantic i watch from now on cuz the way he is one of the best romantic leads i've ever seen. it's actually wild. every expression, every line delivery, every LOOK (!!!), every smile, his mannerisms, his body language, EVERYTHING was just pure perfection. the WAY he delivered his speeches to kate every time as if his want was constricting his throat reducing it to a pained whisper, like it was taking everything in him not to give into it. AN ACTOR. this man is a menace! i could talk about him and these two forever.

A love-hate relationship between them is wonderful. The way Kate disagreed in almost everything Anthony did or said made me like her even more. And Anthony did relish a challenge with Kate. I can't wait for season 3. I love this series so much I never want it to end 😭

The raw emotion and relief coming from him... you just feel it.
And that Violet recognised it, because that was the feeling she didn't get to have. The love of her life died.

I love how Kate has replaced some of Anthony's traumatic memories with happy ones. Bees, hunting and Aubrey Hall hold bad memories of his father's death and now will be replaced with happy memories of Kate.

Even better, orange is the compliment to blue. So while she spends a lot of time matching Anthony in the costuming department, in that proposal scene, we see that she also compliments him.

Anthony had such a strong personality that he needed someone like Kate who could challenge him like Daphne said. Kate is an older sibling and they share that 'burden' / responsibility of being the leader of their families. Edwina sweet as she, is just too boring for Anthony. I do not mean this as a diss, but he needed someone who understood him in a way that Kate did.
I feel like any one in a leadership position needs a spouse they could lean on. Kate was a rock that could keep him standing under the pressure while Edwina was a soft pillow that would put him to sleep lol

I couldn't have imagined in the last season that johny bailey is so attractive and charming he was literally invisible. It goes on to show, how women yearn for gentlemen who love like no other. Even with lesser sex scenes this was beyond sexy. I literally had to gasp for air when they were close. The man written by a WOMAN.

Also, just rewatched season 1 (after being obsessed with season 2 and watching that several times), let's just say Anthony was better groomed in season 2 - he looked like a king ready to meet his queen, whereas season 1 his hair and sideburns were out of contro, it was truly shocking and I noticed them a lot because of the contrastl! I think this was strategic to not make us pine for him until his own season of love!
Kate was great but Anthony really sold this. The way he looooooked at her, my GOD. The way he’d whisper to her, GOOSEBUMPS!!! He delivered those lines so god damn well. I’d put this portrayal up there with Macfadyens’ Darcy. JUST SO SO GOOD. I swooned!!

Somehow I prefer Anthony and Kate over Daphne and Simon, they had more chemistry somehow and I was way more invested and I'm so in love with Anthony so maybe that's also why... Maybe the story is a bit cliché, enemies to lovers and all that, but I loved it because we all wish real life could be like a fairytale. This show is the epitome of escapism.

Season 2 is my favorite because of their chemistry. It was off the charts! The touches, near kisses, and pining was so good!
Kate is soo striking, so sharp. She did justice to this role. She added so much depth. Even when she seemed selfish, and Edwina was in pain, i was already in love with her and was rooting for her happiness.

I think Simone Ashley(Kate) confirmed there will be a sub plot for them in season 3
Hopefully the future seasons shows that.
The story arc for Season 1 could only be resolved after the marriage whereas Season 2's resolution was the marriage itself. Rege choosing to not be on the show is why he wasn't in the second season while Daphne was. Expect next season, since the actors that played Anthony and Kate signed on for the next season, to have a lot of happy and married stuff with them. Note, Anthony is the head of the household...and some how they are going to have to teach Kate how to run things. That is a story in of itself.

The show only wants to show the tension and less on those things which is nice but also it made some book reader mad. 😅 they want that scene to be shown. I will say, after episode 3 or 4, the show is no longer following the book. The next episodes are completely new, reasons why some fans are not having it.

The most beautiful development of Anthony is that he didn't believe in love, he was unhappy and serious in the first season, he had an affair with Siena and then came Kate and change his world and point of wiew about being in love with someone. She is her true love😭❤
He did believe in love he saw it with his mother and father and when his father died his mother was in so much pain he didn’t want that pain

They way he looks at here gets me EVERYTIME. I’ve always hated romance plots in shows because they were always dull, boring, and just made me want to skip past them. I found that in this show, the romance between these two is all I wanted to watch and I didn’t care much for anything else. IT WAS SO WELL DONE and the actors are amazing and have great chemistry!

I read the book years ago and while season 2 wasn’t an exact adaptation of the book these two still managed to capture Kate & Anthony and their love. I’ll never get over these two! 😭 💕🌷

@@Anon12314 I kinda hate Anthony in like 3/4 of the book 😂😂 I love Anthony in the series more. I also love the some changes in the story. Although the book focuses in their story more so I still recommend you to read it. Kanthony be one of my favorite couple both in the book and the series.
I watched the season first and then read the book and i must confess i liked the show better, which is so weird for me bc im that bitch who's always like "this didn't happen in the book" 😂

all of Anthony s speeches throughout the season were so well acted...the emotion Jonathan pours into a scene is just incredible to watch

Kates eyes, expressions, voice is so enchanting. I close my eyes and can still see her looking at him like it’s just them two in the whole world. I can’t wait to see her in more shows
"Do. Not. Stop." Wow. The timing of the delivery so the last word is barely out before the kiss. And the garden scene before the fireworks. Has there ever been a better written, better acted, love scene? Once again, Kate barely gets her line out before the kiss. Immaculate timing and so perfectly delivered. What a phenomenal performance! I'm obsessed with this actor's talents.

It's just crazy how much Anthony smiles when Kate is around! He was such a sourpuss in the previous season and it's lovely to see the effect Kate has on him in this season
They are so cute!!! The chemistry is actually electric, you could feel it in each of their scenes. I was so swept into their story I binged the whole thing in a day. LOVED IT

Not me needing to watch this whole season over again because im too invested in this couple 😅. I really did not think it would beat season one, I thought Daphne and Simons chemistry was on another level. I was so wrong! it was equally entertaining if not more watching these two together. The actors in this show are amazing! Simone is absolutely stunning.

The writers of Bridgerton learned the basic rule of fans and ships. Fans will always ship the first coupling unless someone better comes along, however rare that is. In this instance, they were sad about Anthony and Siena not getting together, but when Kate came along, it was "Who was Siena again?"
I actually loved this season, I think so much better than season one. Kathony's chemistry was off the charts!!

Favourite couple Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton in Bridgerton! I love their love stories in novel and also in the series. I enjoyed watching every scene kate and anthony fighting, talking, arguing & finding love for each other. Simone Ashley as kate just perfect!
They have way better chemistry than Daphne and the Duke.
Their chemistry was amazing! The actors harmonized beautifully and I could feel every sorrow, sadness, sexual tension, happiness, relief etc. so intensely - very talented lead couple. I cried so many times with them. Season 2 definitely won over 1 one for me.
I still can't get over this show ever since I finished watching it. I especially love their dance scenes. It was so beautiful. That last scene is so perfect and beautiful it makes me cry every time.
Their first dance is soooooo mesmerizing to me.
This relationship was such a journey. From every glance, stare and conversation it grew to something beautiful. The acting was phenomenal between them and the chemistry made you believe ❤️
The physical characteristics of Kate is different from the books, however she captured the perfect essence of Kate that made it so convincing.
What is she like in the books?
@@mystic6102 i wouldn't say she is that different, she has dark brown hair and eyes and she has darker skin than Edwina (who is blonde with blue eyes in the book lol). She is not indian in the books tho so if you take that into consideration she's not that different from the og

@@Sarah-ss6fr just read the book- i think Kate was witty (part of what he liked) and didn't like her sister with Anthony. Think Simone captured Kate perfectly. They also captured the pall mall match well.
Everyone talking about their chemistry no one notices the struggle that is being represented aside from their circumstances they absolutely both have fear of intimacy..gosh I cried the whole time when they let themselves lose control !!…as a control freak myself..l let so many romantic interests pass me by did the same that Anthony did smell their scent deeply..never had the courage to follow my heart..a love that fails or dies is ten times better than a love that never happened cause that one will never die or fails which will hurt forever
They put more complexity and backstory of why he is becoming the man he is.. i was really moved in tears at the last ep in the scene between him and his mother. I was also moved in tears in the scene between kate and lady marys in the end 😭😭 this show is just perfect. i like this season so much..

The way this season has LESSER sex scenes yet it left me on the edge of my seat!!! Scorching!!! Love the way they resist each other - Anthony trying his best but couldn't help it! His eyes always shows longing, pain, desire, my good Lord. 😭❤️ Love them more so much, i wish they had a lot more screentime! Too many sideplots in this season.
Love these two. They're the reason I'm going to watch S3 and the other upcoming seasons.
