I am proud to call myself an Anthony defender ever since s1 so I'm glad people are now joining in the bandwagon. Anthony is prob my fav character in the Bridgerton-verse. So well written and well acted
i mean the guy was really insufferable in season 1....even if there were tender moments showing his good traits in the 1st season....also the show was for daphne and simon so whatever we saw was from the perspective of his interactions with them which tbh weren't very pleasing. season 2 properly fletched out his character🤷🏽♀
@@prithagore4870 nah ive always seen through his intentions although he is often misguided and why he is the way that he is even when s1 was not abt him. Some people dont and need to see him through the s2 lense to be able to understand him but its fine either way
I loved how meddlesome he was in season 1. Made me quite amused how much he was aggravated regarding daphne. I get why many viewers found him insufferable but for me it was really great seeing him being an overprotective brother. It showed how much he cared and loved his family.
@@samikshyakafle same here. He was overprotective to a fault. Loved him in season 1 even before I knew his back story. He seemed like a very troubled soul with a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders…. Now I know why he is that way. Jonathan Bailey nailed this role.💕💕

He’s touching the book like that because it’s precious to him. He not only loved his father but he died in his arms. That’s traumatizing and he’s holding his father’s favorite books as of they were fragile so they don’t perish as their owner did. My grandma passed a few yrs ago the last thing she gave me was this burgundy cape. It’s nothing I’ve ever seen before. I love it and if it ever got torn or ruined snd couldn’t be fixed, you could buy me a new one but it would never be the same. We weren’t that close but she was still my grandma. So for him to lose someone he loved and was so close to, of course he’s gonna cherish and caress the books as if they could turn to ash at any moment

I've seen her in so many roles, but I really enjoy her in this show. Hates to Kate. She's really testing my love for Jane Austen and Elizabeth Bennett for No.1 heroine. I just love the writing. The Brothers are all just so much fun. I'm looking forward to series 3. Eloise is just me and I love seeing her character forming.

I love Kate, fav scene is when they meet on horseback in park...she rides off waiving and he knew right then and there was "Before Kate and After Kate". But as we know, he didn't know who she was then. Then queue garden scene...he had me at "You". And the Oscar/BAFTA goes to "So you think my smile is...". Reminded me of Tom Ward there. He's going to be great in a spy thriller or a political thriller. Love seeing talent rise up. There's a bit of Benedict Cumbersbatch/Rory Kinnear about him. Love Benedict and Rory.

And this man is SUCH A FINE ACTOR!! He alone sets the entire season on fire! A raging fire that consumers everything and everyone, and yet it feels soo good to be burnt!!
S2 gives off strong Pride and Prejudice vibes and also very much like Persuasion, with Lady Danbury trying to convince Kate to walk away from Anthony.
I also think one of the reasons Anthony is so intrigued by Kate is because she doesn't fawn on him, he has to work for it.
