In the books when she finds Colin and Penelope together she thinks that Colin’s asking Penelope to help him marry her sister (she just doesn’t have any hope for Pen)
Yea I think she thinks he would not marry her even if that means ppl potentially think she’s ruined cause that’s not even a risk cause no one would think she desirable enough which shame in her and pen will show her!
I think she intended to, but Colin was quicker, so she had to react to an entirely different possible scandal. 😃

The actress of Edwina is actually a pretty good actress- she somehow captured the demeanor of a new-to-this world and naïve little girl. Demeanor is a pretty hard thing to capture
and you can 100% see when that demeanor goes away too once she realized she was part of the problem

@@cornelia7076 there's a few theories. When asked about it, the actors said it could be the number of seasons their characters will be in or the second theorie. This one comes from the books, where Anthony and Kate have three children and then a fourth they were not expecting (unplanned pregnancy). In my opinion, the second one would make more sense.

I know this is not much but I really like Penelope and the New Lord Featherington scenes. I feel, at that time, he was the only family member that genuinely treated her and even spoke to her well. Never dismissed her like her mother & sisters did, whenever she asked something or praised him, he answered back with the same mood. Almost like an older brother or uncle like sort of.
The way i feel bad for Anthony cuz irl hes gay and yet hes had lots of "fun" with women in this show 😭😭😂
Same with Barney from HIMYM but less misogynistic, less toxic, more loving.

Lady Featherington doesn't immediately try to marry off Penelope and Colin once she finds them alone together because she knows they are only good friends, she is entirely oblivious to Penelope's feelings for Colin.
No I think she knows of Pen’s feeling for him. She seemed pretty suspicious of their interaction in episode 7.
She would definitely use the situation... but Colin beat her up to it with immediately breaking the necklace. She would not dare play with fire.
If she knew Colin was interested in Pen, she would swoop in immediately, no needing for any traps 😊🤣
