The further I get into the video, the more I'm reminded how many aspects of game development are covered on this channel: programming, animations, shader graph, particle system... A true jack-of-all-trades, André! Bravo!
This my friend takes years of learning hard! This looks easy because it's probably one of the most eficient ways of making these things, which a less professional programmer might make in a more complex and clunky way.
I *ALWAYS* learn so much from these videos! Andre this was kickass. I'm always so impressed with how simple your programming solutions are too! Like using a 1.5 raycast to check and see if you're still sliding. Genius!
As always, very well done! You replicated so many little details! Shows just how much thought and effort the developers put into just one of Samus' abilities.
And he's back!!! Really happy about that. This video is another fantastic example of not only showing how to do specific things in Unity or any game engine at all, but also how to break things like these down. It started out as "How do you even do that" and ended as bite-sized steps that anyone can follow. I hope you're aware of how important your work is!
(In fluent Agent Smith) Welcome back Mr Carrdoso. We've... missed you. In all seriousness, welcome back! :) Another great video! Particularly enjoyed the shader graph portion, something I've not really explored in Unity yet.
Incredible! you make it look so easy...always seriously impressed when ever you release a video! and you provide the code for free too! subscribed and a patreon supporter now too.
I love this so much. I would love to do something like this too, but whew, seems so overwhelming. I often forget just how complex game design can be, even in such a simple thing like this, I can only imagine the amount of work that went into re-creating this move.
Something that I’d love to see next is Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ PokéBall system-from snagging wild Pokémon, to letting out your party Pokémon to interact with the environment.
Your videos have great reproducibility every time. I think it's the best Unity engineer I know. If possible, please tell us in detail how to make a Unity game with "Udemy" etc. with a video. Of course, "RUclips" is also OK. I definitely want to learn from you. I kindly thank you.
With Triangle Strategy coming out for the switch soon it would be super cool to see your take on tactics style movement in games like that and final fantasy tactics. I feel like that is a unique challenge that not many know how to do
I just found your channel and it's awesome!! One code improvement I would do is to have all of these as separate states in one or multiple state machines instead of using boolean flags
I just found your channel recently, and you make some great content, recreating all of these game mechanics in Unity! I'd love to see you try to recreate the Boost mechanic from the recent Sonic games.
Man ! How did I never stumble across your channel earlier.... This is literally the best of the best ! ... Free flow fighting had always been a "how to do" for me... and you gave me the answer... One other thing you could shed some light on would be Race AI ... I can always come up with something mediocre but nothing great when it comes to race AI... Race line, avoidance, competence, believable track racer behaviour, haven't been able to come up with somethign that suits all that needs...
Loved the vid! Your videos are incredibly inspiring. I think I have a mechanic idea for you to try out if you want. In Super Paper MARIO for the WII you could flip Mario from 2D to 3D. I’ve always wanted to try and do this and I wonder if you will get a kick out of it too!
Hope you are well Mix and Jam!! Just saying hi :) Hope you're planning on making some more vids in the future but no pressure obviously, I'm sure you're busy with work and life :)
Serious question: how adaptable to 3d movement would this be? I know you made a change early on to let it be usable in 2d, but would it be possible to use this in a 3d environment?
The further I get into the video, the more I'm reminded how many aspects of game development are covered on this channel: programming, animations, shader graph, particle system... A true jack-of-all-trades, André! Bravo!
Thanks Nicky!! Appreciate you enjoying all the little details!
😀
Awesome as always, also those particles are so cool :o
I literally had to think of you when he said particle system.

Oh and thanks for the shoutout, much appreciated!
I don't know how you do it but you make all of that look so simple. Welcome back!
This my friend takes years of learning hard! This looks easy because it's probably one of the most eficient ways of making these things, which a less professional programmer might make in a more complex and clunky way.
Please continue to recreate things from video games this was one of the most unique channels out there! :D
I *ALWAYS* learn so much from these videos! Andre this was kickass. I'm always so impressed with how simple your programming solutions are too! Like using a 1.5 raycast to check and see if you're still sliding. Genius!
I absolutely LOVE how you separated the need to be in the 'normal' jump to be able to shinespark.
I get so much value from your vids.

Fantastic video! Really enjoyed watching how you broke down all the different facets of this feature.
Believe it or not, I was just thinking about you the other day! Good to see you back!
Thanks Suna! Good to be back!

Just found your channel and am loving it. I have already learned so much and have implemented some of these into some little projects of mine.
This is very interesting. I know nothing about game development so this is really cool to see
FINALLY!!! It's been so long since your lasrt vid!
Something that I’d love to see next is Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ PokéBall system-from snagging wild Pokémon, to letting out your party Pokémon to interact with the environment.
Thank you, you gain a sub and increased my interest in Unity. I will use Unreal for my games but I will no doubt give Unity some love.
So thrilled to have another video from you!! Keep up the great work :)
cara, vc é minha inspiração! Você é incrivel!

This is just perfect
I know this video was made 11 months ago but I'd love to see you recreate the melee counter from dread in unity!
He lives! Welcome back!!
Really well done!
What happened to this channel? Havent posted anything in nearly a year
Welcome backkkk ✨✨✨
Outstanding!
I don't know how I didn't find this channel earlier. Came from twitter.
YES YOUR BLOODY BACK!
How about Cyberpunk's Sandevistan? 😁
Hope you're doing well!
bro where is new videos
Welcome back!
Amazing❤❤❤
Great content! ♥
This is amazing. Really love your channel!!
What do you think about recreating SIFU combat? That combat is really nice and would make a great video!
I love this channel!
amazing content, just discovered !
For your next vid, I'd really love to see Gta 5's Cover system. Great job as always!
Great work! It would be great if you once did a Slow Motion Time tutorial.
Tough topic depending on what engine you are using. The level of possibility and implementation varies between UE4 and Unity
Depending on how you program your game it could be as simple as "set playback speed = 0.5" or manipulate the tick rate. Easy or extremely tricky

I wish mix and jam and Sebastian legue do a colab
Can you make a crash bandicoot 4 spin and double jump?
Wow slide is awesome I've been trying to figure it out, kinda trying to implement something like titan fall 2

I’m curious how you would approach the boost mechanic from Sonic Rush/Unleashed/Generations/etc.
Serious question: how adaptable to 3d movement would this be? I know you made a change early on to let it be usable in 2d, but would it be possible to use this in a 3d environment?
