Wow!! Also, congratulations on the birth of your son, Mikhaila, and Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
My first son is quite a dominant character and we realised this very early on. I'm glad of the advice that was given here as it's inline to how my husband and I are raising him and his brother. The other day a couple of boys the same age as my eldest (4) wanted to take my younger son's ball so they pushed him to the ground twice and took it. My eldest had his back towards them but as soon as I told him to look out for his brother, he went charging up to the boys, pushed them away from his brother and grappled to take the ball back. I will never forget a conversation I had with my twins where I explained that moms and dads don’t have any special training, they didn’t come with a manual that told us how to raise them “right”. We don’t in fact know everything, and we do make mistakes. I then apologized to them for a mistake I’d made. They were so confused. We talked some more about how we do our best, and try to help our kids make good choices and live better lives than we had. That if we didn’t have the answer we would figure it out together… It helped our kids see us in a different light & respect us more. We have such an amazing relationship with our girls and are so proud of the young women they now are❤
Speaking of Christian apologetics, one of the best sources is J.W. Wallace, the cold-case detective who wrote “Cold-Case Christianity.” He’s written several books on apologetics but my favorite is, “A Person of Interest.” He would be a great person to interview. By the way, this author has very well done kids’-versions of all his book.
So in short: - You have to be a positive role model for your children (or sometimes find one for them if there are aspects you're struggling to introduce) and lead by an example, while also showing them that you are not perfect and can also make mistakes, but you are of handling it well when you are being called on them. Your children should look at you and think, yes, that's how I should act, do and what I should expect from others. - Your children must know that you will always be there for them and take their side no matter what. My children, right or wrong. - Homeschooling is actually an option, but do take time to research the subject to know what you are doing. Ang again, if a parent is not a positive role model, homeschooling is meaningless. - Your children must know that the rules they must follow in your and their home are not because you said so, but because these rules are helping them to become better people.

I have not yet been a father but... I just know. My old man frequently just rested back on the lazy answer of “You’ll understand when you’re older.” I don’t think he understands how wrong he was on so many levels, including choosing my ‘birthing person,’ a FEMINIST, to make into the mother of his LATER children. I know it’s against the 10 Commandments but... what idiots. The both of them. Failures. Parental and political failures. Anti-gun leftist authoritarianism, a FAKE charade of being Christians, and on the old man’s side an obsession with/reverence of sports. Awful, I’m glad Christ caught me when I found him as I was falling. Not everyone gets thrown into life with guidance, I got thrown into left-wing ideology and sports. A man in the house? I always told my kids that’s until they pay the bills it’s my house and I have full access to the rooms they slept in. I was a single parent of 5 boys and 2 girls. They turned into some amazing adults.
My daughter loves blacksmithing and learned it in the Scouts. I’m actually very happy that the scouts let girls in their own segregated groups because she’s definitely not a homemaker type so Girl Scouts will not be a thing for her but Boy Scouts had it going on with all the different skills she could learn in her own female troop.
Fabulous interview. Thank you, Nick and Mikhaila. My 14yo son is practicing his 'provide and protect' manliness with me now, and it fills my heart with love and pride. He carries things. He opens jars. He picks up dog poo (even though he dislikes it). We have conversations about whether it's my job to handle an issue, or his job. I respect his wishes, but cover his blindspots. I am a single mum. Preparing my son for adulthood is harder because his Dad is a poor role model. I am teaching my son what I remember about how my Dad took care of his mum. We are aiming for my son to be a 'gentle-man' of firm character and a willingness to act (as is his nature). Thanks for the confirmation that we are on the right track.

Love listening to Nick often and appreciate him sharing his intelligent, experienced perspectives on doing life well as a parent and husband to his audience. I admire his honesty and integrity as well as his sacrificial service to our country both militarily and in public service. He is a man to admire ! Yet I am so grateful that he finally mentioned the Source of all of his ability to do life in this manner in naming Christ here. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes into a true relationship with Father God , or receives the empowerment of His Spirit to live according to the good principles Nick speaks about here without surrendering their lives to Christ. ❤️ So glad Nick points the way to God and mentions his faith, yet praying he will acknowledge even more boldly how Christ’s death and His resurrection are where we find life!
Him and Tina are my favorite couple. The first time I listened to him, like a year ago I was hooked! I wish I could’ve find them earlier. My husband is also 9months younger, we got together in 1999 as well! Keep up the good work!
He and my husband are cut from the same cloth. His video about the 3 things your daughter needs from you as a dad was really a story and lessons my husband could have written. We love him1
There is a line that I read many years ago, I absolutely love it. It said religion is, the best defense against God you can find, it gives you all those wonderful words and leaves God out. Now that's not to take anything away from the Bible because that's not what I'm saying. Even if you're an atheist, the Bible still has principles that affect everybody and you definitely can't get away from them. Take for instance this one, Matthew 7:12 therefore, whatever you want men to do to you., do also to them, for this is the law. So just in case that's not very clear to people I'll put it to you this way: what goes around comes around, what you give you receive, cause and effect, karma, do not violate another choice. The difficulty arises in not seeing the law in action. Example: let's say you beat somebody up, now this doesn't mean you're going to get beat up, what this means is you're going to get back how the person felt about getting beat up and it will come back to you while you're dealing with relationships with others. Another example: say somebody stole from you, now you say I never stole from anybody in my life, but you don't remember the time that you ignored a friend who needed you stole your time from him or her. Do you see any better way than that to learn the law? One more thing you need to be clear about, and this proof is living in you. It is not God's function to create, or uncreate, the circumstances or conditions of your life. God created you in the image and likeness of god. You have created the rest, through the power of God has given you. God created the process of life and life itself as you know it, yet God gave you free choice to do with life as you will. God will do nothing for you that you will not do for yourself. That is the law. God will not violate his own law or otherwise you will not learn!!!!! Luke 17:21 Jesus said, for indeed the kingdom of God is within you. And I ask you where is God, is he not in his kingdom. And where is that again oh that's right Jesus said he's within. The truth is always there when you're ready to see it.
My homeschooled grandchildren had an after-class lunch with the rest of their classmates and their siblings. At one time, one of the moms counted and wondered aloud if 18 kids in a postage stamp yard counted as socialization. I can usually spot a homeschool kid. The tip-off: they are comfortable talking to people of all ages.
Green Beret is one step above Army Rangers one step below Delta Force. They use asymmetric warfare using indigenous forces to bolster their numbers while training the indigenous forces. The Rangers have a red/maroon Beret.
Are you going to make a video about what procedures you’ve had to achieve your current look? I watched a video of you and your father from years ago and I didn’t recognize you. Your face structure looks completely different now. I think you should do more content on beauty, health, and plastic surgery/injectables 🫶

❤Such a powerful interview 🙌🏼
Such a great interview.
It's the best podcast ,that we all need, thank u so much Mikhaila
He and my husband are cut from the same cloth. His video about the 3 things your daughter needs from you as a dad was really a story and lessons my husband could have written. We love him1
Nick, you forgot “Persuasion” and “Lady Susan”! (Jane Austen novels without “and” in the title).
I don't usually like to judge on appearance, but the very first time I had seen Nick, I just knew "Yup, he's a good guy."
I have been subscribed for years but literally have not seen you on my feed for at least 8 months... you must be saying something true... fuck Ed up..

There is so much gold here
I suggest having hubby massage your feet while chanting he he hoo prior & during delivery.
Well wishes.
Since she will be having nannies care for her baby, her husband should hire someone to rub her feet for him.
Just Listening this man talking how he taught his kids to be strong , how he is gonna protect his little girl, I feel I’ve been taught like a little kid again, I feel like I’ve been a little girl to be protected .It’s strange to say, but It’s true tough
I see that name I think white nationalist until it’s pronounced… lol
Thank you for a wonderful podcast. Do you not think that the real world is much harsher than a public school and that children need to learn how to navigate the real world?
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how you benefitted from public school as even with flaws there is some benefit to not avoiding it
- the song CHILD IN TIME/Deep Purple
Fantastic interview and congratulations on the birth of your new baby boy 👌🏼✨
@Mrs_Mikhaila_Peterson. It's so difficult to trust anything on social media, because you just had a baby and I'm a random stranger, why would you want to make contact with me ....
Hope you're feeling better. Sorry you had to move from Nashville, I'm from there and it's a special place.
