    I was dealing with SIJ pain for about 6 years thinking it was my lower back that was the issue.
    I went to Urgent care recently because I was unable to bend over to put my pants on because of the pain. Urgent care Doctor pointed out that my problem was not my lower back, it was my SIJ.
    I then went to my Chiropractor and told him what I had and he performed the same Chiropractic adjustment in this video and voilà! First time I’ve been pain free in 6 years!

Lots of Ben gay hanging pull-ups and stretching the roller down the spine feet on the spine helps with the pain but at the end of the day sometimes you need good old mother nature to take its course with the help of Father Time

    Another great video Dr. Gibbons! It's is very hard to know for sure where the cavitation occurs. Lumbar facets tend to cavitate with a higher frequency sounding crack or pop, compared to the SIJ's deeper clunk. That's because it has such a much larger joint surface area. In addition, the upper side contact tends to move the more mobile lumbosacral or L4/5 facets, which are so close to the SIJ. However, taking a sacral contact on the downside joint seems to move the SIJ more specifically, if there is such a thing. Again, you are just trying to gap a joint and create mobility, not "reposition" a bone. Again, great video, and I love your work.

I don't have this pain before manipulation ..my pain was only in sacrum .. I went back to him and he told me that might be normal and may continue to month and half and to do stretch of muscle .. but Iam in pain do you think do it !? ..but I kind of don't believe him ..Iam afraid he hurt my sacroiliac joint and don't know what to do know .. I have done MRI of sacroiliac joint before this manpiulation and it was free .. do you think I need to do it again or what ! ... I hope u reply my comment because Iam far away from you Iam from Egypt and by the way Iam opthalmologist and my back pain came from the way I sitting on my slit lamp

I did three of them and I still have mild to moderate pain .. do you think Iam in my right way !? And this is normal to have this pain after manpiulation u see cases like this !? Hi John,
    I get often adjusted by chiropractors and they all talk about posterior scrum as opposed to referring to the ilium...also their hand contact is on the sacrum...how can u minimize lumbar spine rotation with this technique? Thanks

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  5 лет назад +2

      If you want to manipulate the Sacrum then generally you would have to lock down to the L5 as without the lock down the adjustment will change the lower lumbar position rather than the sacral position. Either way its not an easy technique just to manipulate the sacrum....hope that helps, regards JG
