Thanks for the informative videos, I'm an osteopath of 10 years and have just discovered your videos... I've been doing the same techniques for years and have set a challenge of "technique of the week" and have found your videos super helpful.. Thank you.
I was dealing with SIJ pain for about 6 years thinking it was my lower back that was the issue. I went to Urgent care recently because I was unable to bend over to put my pants on because of the pain. Urgent care Doctor pointed out that my problem was not my lower back, it was my SIJ. I then went to my Chiropractor and told him what I had and he performed the same Chiropractic adjustment in this video and voilà! First time I’ve been pain free in 6 years!
John you are the Best perfect manipulation. It is really Hard to find doc as you in Russia. Love your technique badly. God bless you. Health and prosperity to you. Thanks a lot for your video.
Sir thank you so 🙏🙏🙏 much i went so many hospitals 🏥no one didn't tell this to me spent lot of money's but finally this video made my life Once again thank you sir
Thanks a bunch very professional and straightforward I had my 11-year-old daughter performed this on me. I literally picked up a 50 lb bag of mortar at home Depot and something blue in my back. Lots of Ben gay hanging pull-ups and stretching the roller down the spine feet on the spine helps with the pain but at the end of the day sometimes you need good old mother nature to take its course with the help of Father Time
Another great video Dr. Gibbons! It's is very hard to know for sure where the cavitation occurs. Lumbar facets tend to cavitate with a higher frequency sounding crack or pop, compared to the SIJ's deeper clunk. That's because it has such a much larger joint surface area. In addition, the upper side contact tends to move the more mobile lumbosacral or L4/5 facets, which are so close to the SIJ. However, taking a sacral contact on the downside joint seems to move the SIJ more specifically, if there is such a thing. Again, you are just trying to gap a joint and create mobility, not "reposition" a bone. Again, great video, and I love your work.
Hi john sir.. I am from India.. I have a request to you sir please make a video of l4 l5 s1 disc bulge with sciatica pain symptom patient ... And explain and details the management capture close and open lumber position.. Thanks

That manipulation (not done by Mr. Gibbons) caused me the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. I went from 70% functional with discomfort to using a four-legged walker for a week. Blinding, nauseating pain for weeks. It hurt my back to clear my throat or a month. I'm 6mo post adjustment and am about 50%.
Thats such a shame to hear about your complaint....thats why when i teach my students how to manipulate this area I say you have to be very careful incase you cause more pain, regards JG
It is all about how good your palpation skills are and knowing what joint to cavitate, after 100k manipulations on patients, it gets a little easier....regards JG
Chiros can never get the si adjustment deep enough for me I have to do it myself. Problem is I need it over and over and over hate it ready for si fuse.
I can't fully agree with you, my chiropracter tends to look at things more globally also, and might even say, I can't help you, go to an osteopath. I do think both treatments can be complementary.
I've had the manipulation done. I still can barely walk without pain. The lower part of my back seems like it's hot and I'm sweating due to it working overdrive . Any help ? Thanks

John if you were trying to elicit anterior rotation of a posterior inominate, would the setup be the same only with different hand placement on the ilium?
Hello, John... In case of pain of the sacroiliac joint, in the tensioning position,(sorry for my english), before the thrust, should we continue with the manipulation, or should wait till the next sesion (respecting the rule of no pain)?
I wish you were here in Houston! My last chiropractor couldn’t pop or adjust my left side I think it was. I know it’s my left leg that is bent on top, but every time she tried the left side nothing would happen it’s as if I was stuck from that side. And when I would ask her I couldn’t really get a good explanation.
Hi John..... I just want to ask question please if u read this answer me ..I have lower back pain in my sacrum only not sacroiliac by provactin test I think this is its name ..and I went to a adoctor who done this test and it was negative but told me that the pain in my sacrum due to its locked ..so he do this manpiulation for me the same as vedio but it was strong and told me that everything gona be okay ..but back home I started to feel pain in my left sacroiliac joint and 3weeks now and the pain is still present and I feel my joint click and move .. I don't have this pain before manipulation ..my pain was only in sacrum .. I went back to him and he told me that might be normal and may continue to month and half and to do stretch of muscle .. but Iam in pain do you think do it !? ..but I kind of don't believe him ..Iam afraid he hurt my sacroiliac joint and don't know what to do know .. I have done MRI of sacroiliac joint before this manpiulation and it was free .. do you think I need to do it again or what ! ... I hope u reply my comment because Iam far away from you Iam from Egypt and by the way Iam opthalmologist and my back pain came from the way I sitting on my slit lamp
Thanks for the message and not sure if its worth another MRI as I doubt it will find anything. I would go and see another therapist and see what they think as difficult to comment without looking at you, regards JG

I did three of them and I still have mild to moderate pain .. do you think Iam in my right way !? And this is normal to have this pain after manpiulation u see cases like this !? And you think Iam going to be okay by this session of physical therapy !? Iam so sorry of my long comment but Iam happy u care and reply me and Iam kind of worry ...
Esraa i feel ur first chiro who caused the pain is to be blamed. Check ur sacrum alignment and your pelvis as a whole. Sacral alignment with respect to the illium might tackle the problem problem, goodluck!
Hi John, I get often adjusted by chiropractors and they all talk about posterior scrum as opposed to referring to the ilium...also their hand contact is on the sacrum...how can u minimize lumbar spine rotation with this technique? Thanks
If you want to manipulate the Sacrum then generally you would have to lock down to the L5 as without the lock down the adjustment will change the lower lumbar position rather than the sacral position. Either way its not an easy technique just to manipulate the sacrum....hope that helps, regards JG
Hello John. Could a sacral torsion or unilateral flexed sacrum bring about a slight lateral pelvic tilt on one side of the pelvis that has the dysfunction of the sacrum? Thank you.
