Just back from holidays and I had one of these bags with me for wallet, phone, glasses, little cables, passports etc etc. Love the bag !!!! Super practical and compact at the same time.
I love those silly clip things. I have several and they are so well made and effective. The one on my belt needed a bit of customizing to get those tall corners off, but everywhere else I use them they are fantastic!
Don’t any of you edc guys take water bottles with you? I never leave home without water..would love to carry a sling bad that can accommodate a water bottle. But I maybe out of luck.
One thing I'd highly suggest you start carrying in your pouch is a Mylar safety blanket. They come packaged folded small, and would fit in it perfectly. I always carry at least one in the event I somehow get stranded, and it gets cold. They're super useful, and add that extra layer of security knowing you won't suffer terribly while waiting for rescue, or a ride, or whatever.
@@TheWeaversofEternity Mylar is waterproof, but you can also get prepacked ponchos that are insanely tiny before unfolded and put to use. I have found I use those more than mylar (got mylar and normal blankets in my car and that is the only place I would get stranded...no need to carry them around.
@blackbriarwolf Or if you're stuck on the road, in the winter, with no heat. Hell you could even be locked out of your house, and need something more to keep warm with. There's plenty of reasons to carry them other than being in the wilderness, dipshit.
You are clearly a man of culture! I instantly recognized a bunch of things that I also use and carry 🎩 thing is I'm currently looking for something with a bit more space. Hmm I'll keep hunting. Thanks sir!
IMO Whatever sling bag has to meet 2 basic fundamental requirements: 1 be able to contain a bottle of water 0.5 or 1 liter because in summer wearing light outwear especially pants, it is also a canteen. 2 have only 2 pockets because more pockets to check drives you insane al the times finding stuffs when you need 'em. A cheap simple and well made Sling bag I found on the market is the Bag Base model BG142. It is large enough for 1L water bottle. It has 2 zip pockets. The small in the rear is useful for wallet and smartphone, the main is internally parted with two open mesh compartment to sort things e.g. paper towels, sweets, SAK, anti covid mask, lotions, pen, papers... and a lanyard with plastic carbine to retrieve quickly keys. The strap and buckle is larger than usual, as a safety belt more than less, so even if you load it very heavily it is like a backpack strap diffusing pressure and doesn't scratch, irritate or cut through sweated skin. I get it plain from ebay for less than 10€ + shipping from an italian firm embroider of merchandise and promotional stuffs. Absolutely great deal. It is available in 3 perfect colors light gray (so in summer doesn't boil water) Black a classic discrete non eye catching choice and indigo blue for casual jeans and random. It is a very clever useful and jet probably underestimated product.
Nice. I stick with Solognac M-sized pouch, it amounts to about 800g, can easily carry it inside my backpack or strap it on the molle on the outside, or even on my belt if I have to.
Earbuds would fit in this bag no problem, but if you need even more space there are two additional larger sizes of this tech case to accommodate your needs. The elements tech case and tech case MAX.
Thank you for the video. I wonder if a Ray-Ban case will fit in this case, I am looking for a small sling to fit a wallet, sunglasses case, car key, earbuds and phone.
This case is a bit small for a glasses case. If you want to fit all the things you listed, I would go with the larger versions of this one which include the standard size Elements tech case or the max version.
I'm a big dude, and I just know my wife would give me crap for this and tell me I'm carrying a purse. 🤣 I like the sling idea though. Luckily, my pockets in my Jeans are pretty large and carry a lot though.
Tell your wife you’ll save valuable time that you’ll then be able to spend with her, if you don’t have to remove all your edc items and put them in again every time you change pants. Efficiency
Highly unrelated to the video, but posting this comment here because at the time it’s the most recent video: On a diamond knot, what is the purpose or significance of putting the working ends past the starting standing ends in the last step before finishing the knot?
I considered it for this one, but the zipper pulls are actually not noisy on this one as they are made of soft material. The larger version of this bag I have has metal zipper pulls and I for sure am going to remove them and replace with paracord. The rattling noise of metal zipper pulls always drives me crazy lol
It's less spacious but not by much. I have both of them in my rotation. The build quality on the Alpaka is much better but the size is compact compared to the Tomtoc. Hope that helps.
They were unfortunately sold out of the black colorway way before I published this video. Most likely due to Black Friday, but they restock pretty often as they are a large manufacturer. So check back often or use their e-mail notifications to have them let you know when they have more stock.
Why not just wear cargo pants/shorts, ya SISSY! 🤣 I'm joking of course. Everyone has their own uses so I'd never pick on anyone for their choices. I keep having to thin out what I carry, otherwise I'm pulling my shorts up every ten minutes, and having things like my flashlight slamming into the side of my knee is super fun, lol. I'm a HUGE fan of fanny packs, and was pleasantly surprised to see them being sold on Amazon. Sling bags are cool, but always tend to get in my way, and the one thing I NEVER do is carry any of my knives in anything other than my pockets. If I end up in a situation, I don't want to be fumbling around with a pack to get to my protection gear. I always carry two to three knives on me. Usually one in my normal hip pocket for opening boxes, and whatnot, one in my left leg pocket, and sometimes my neck knife. The idea that someone could see a bag, and take it with all my knives in it is too unsettling for me, lol.
I wear cargo pants all the time! But I hate putting heavy objects in the cargo pockets as I hate the weight of the stuff swinging around and hitting me in the knee as you say. I also totally agree with you for keeping your knife in your pocket. It's always faster to draw from the pocket for sure. I sometimes keep a knife in the bag and a main blade in the pocket as a result.
I wish they made a mini sling that did NOT have a clip on that. Never forget that Clip = lift. If the strap has a clip, it is NOT theft proof. You're getting scammed
Lol, far from it. I'm Canadian, but you know what's really weird? For the past two days I've been listening to Die Antwoord during my workouts.🤯 (Still deciding if I like or dislike their music lol) What made you think I'm South African?
Is there a tie off point or something in the rear compartment? I'd like to carry a handgun in it (American) but a loose Paul 3 is a nogo. Very slick otherwise, how's it feel around your waist?
I use/carry this bag with me every time I go out. I've taken out the charger battery as I don't tend to need it, but other than that everything else has remained the same and useful for when I need it.
OMFG LMFAO that's not a freaking sling bag that's a fanny pack. But you go ahead and keep calling it a sling bag if that makes you want to wear your fanny pack in public.

I just got mine 3 weeks ago. I'm still tuning what I'm caring in it. It's a awesome little bag. So much space in such a little package.
Couldn't agree more, glad you're enjoying yours!

This may sound odd and slightly off topic, but what make are your cargo trousers please ?
What!? No phased plasma rifle in the 40 mega-watt range? Pfft. 😀

Wandrd sling or the Grayl hip pack
Lunchbox makes one that works well with a water bottle.
Water??? Nah... It's kinda better to carry 3 or 4 blades in an urban environment than a bottle of water
Camelbak mule not quite a sling but not too big either?
I carry a MemoBottle A6 in my sling bag….awesome
clipping stuff to the gussets is a great idea, thanks for the tips!

About all their good for is signaling.
I am so torn on this. Not wanting to carry anymore stuff and how much more I can carry if I had this!
You vex me sir!
I got this in that awesome blue color! Do you find that wider strap to be more comfortable? I was debating it
Down south we country folks..call it a " MURSE "
A MAN 👛 👜 PURSE!
🤣🤠
I'm very familiar with the term "murse" lol
Just bought the ekster parliament. I like it over the trayvax I had for several years.

Is the bag available on Amazon Germany?
Nice review. Alpaka make great gear, I've got a few of their pouches.
Great review! I’ve also switched to a sling bag this summer. Do you have a video on wrapping the strap? I think I wanna try that on mine.
Thanks! And yes the strap wrap video is here: ruclips.net/video/WGLExRzSDWQ/видео.html
Does it fit a Ray-Ban sunglasses in a hard case?

What brand is your no touch brass key? Thanks
what is the watch you are wearing
Hi!!! I wanted to ask, does is also can be used as a fannypack?
A very nice carry bag. Plenty of options and a good review, thanks. Bravo.
@The Weavers of Eternity Paracord will that fit kindle paperwhite + its case?
Does it dig into your neck

💯!
Is the card wallet RFID?
Yes they are.
Do you mind sharing how you made the knot? I bought the same hang you do and I want to attach it like you
what is it called the paracord support for the strap? orange ropes. Is it hard to DIY?
Great carry,edc!!
Very good idea.
6 inch deep bag, is the best functional style.....
wow good thinking, to carry all that stuff👍
It is an amazing bag. I would highly recommend it!

What size is that heroclip? Medium or mini?
I'm using the size small. The mini is a bit too small for hooking onto tables so I'd go with the small or medium.
Cute purse
i do like sling bags that size .. big enough for daily stuff , but not so big you full it with crap & weight yourself down

Anyone have any insight as to whether this sling is more spacious than the Tomtoc 8inch/ 4L model?
