    Its crazy how people will pay for stuff like this when you can learn to stitch, sew, knot, etc fairly easily by learning on youtube and you can source literally all the materials from to make like 50 of these things from Aliexpress for like 9 bucks lol.
    When anything breaks around the house I get excited because its an opportunity to learn to fix something better than it was before.

    I have noticed a lot of things on kickstarter like that, things that would be so easy for anyone to make its almost pointless to do a kickstarter for it, so far the only two things i have gotten on kickstarter was way back when i saw peak designs capture camera clip, i still use it all the time, and one of my favorite artists did an art book lol.

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity 2 дня назад +2

      I've supported a few kickstarters myself too, but similar to you, they were for things I could definitely not make myself. One was a titanium carabiner and the other was a titanium pen haha

    • @anteshell
      @anteshell День назад

      This kind of kickstarters are apparently really good way to earn by targeting people who have more money than brain. Seen some ridiculous things such as machined screwbits from titanium. Sure, you probably can't make them yourself and they last a bit longer than traditional tool metal and whatnot, but nothing really can justify the ridiculous price for such things.
      I would even argue that kind of things are straight up scams, praying on peoples' inability to distinguish between their needs and wants.

    This might be going out on a limb, but maybe this channel and community could help.
    I made a set of paracord suspenders for my brother (he’s always moving and tends to wear out stuff very quickly) and they’ve held up for the years he’s been wearing them. He’s gotten a few people asking if they could buy a set, but there’s the problem. I couldn’t figure out how to make them size adjustable so it was a custom fit and one size fits all isn’t the vibe with suspenders. Any ideas how I could incorporate something to adjust the length?

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity 7 часов назад

      The first thing that came to mind was somehow incorporating the Mad Max cincher that's on the Mad Max style paracord bracelets, which could potentially allow for adjustable paracord suspenders, but that would depend on how you're making them. If you're using solomon knots I think it would be a good solution.

    Don't be sloppy with the names, causing confusion: TWO wraps around a line and feeding the end through the wraps is a double fishermen's knot, the scaffold knot is done with THREE wraps! I use the double fishermen's knot a lot with paracord loops of different sizes - if you pull the two knots apart, you can tie in water bottles, shoes, jackets, sweaters or tools, everything with a reduction between two bulkier sides and hang it on you belt, pack or throw it over your shoulder. Useful knot to connect two pieces of cord or rope too.
    Don't mind the Kickstarter Project, as many others, it's heavily overprized.

    I doubt you did much to hurt the inventor's revenue. In this day and time where people who are broke pay Door dash for fast food to be delivered because they are too lazy to get out of the house. I think they are safe. The complexity of tying knots is far above that of a game controller or the door dash app on their phone!!! The barrier is to high to overcome.
