    I think you correctly nailed Vuori's appeal. Fabrics normally used in workout gear made into more "formal" clothes. The pants have pockets and zippers and look like nice stylish regular pants.

  • @shancakes
    @shancakes 24 дня назад +13

    I love Vuori, specifically the joggers, which come in long and short lengths even. Worn them for years, long before they showed up on social media. I can attest to the fabric holding shape and not pilling even after multiple years and many, many wears. 😅 My only hope is that they continue to produce the same level of quality. Because they were made so well, I haven’t had to repurchase over and over, so it’s possible that will slowly degrade over time, because of, ya know, greed. Fingers crossed!

    Def do vuori's strato tech tee for men. They are their best sellers for tees. I never knew that clothing could be this comfortable. This discovery led me to learn more about textiles and your channel was recommended to me!
    I would love it if you had videos to discuss fabrics - specifically elastane. I may be a noob, but I'm noticing a pattern with this material being so damn comfy.

    I’d like to see some wear tests with how the garment stands up to a wash before cutting them up. I’ve watched quite a few of these video’s and it’s getting a little repetitive. I think because as a regular consumer I don’t care how many pieces it takes to make the garment. I want to know if it shrinks, twists, pills when washed. Also if worn during exercise, do they hold up? Just a few suggestions from me.

    So far, in my opinion: I’ve been liking Vuori’s clothes so much better than Lululemon. I haven’t tried their(Vuori’s) leggings, yet. But, that is the next thing to try. However, I’ve been loving Vuori’s sports bras a long with their joggers. I feel that lululemon is literally going down their drain as far as quality and I haven’t been all that impressed with them lately and the associates in my nearest location have been rude. Therefore, Vuori is my new “go to” place.

    I feel like my issue with Vuori is one of the things people like about it: the fabric is so soft that it feels like I'm wearing pj's out of the house. Add to that, I don't have air conditioning, and I can't imagine wearing their ultra-cozy clothes in the middle of July.

    I wonder if you could talk more about the manufacturing cost vs sale price? I don’t really know anything about pricing, and I’m guessing if it was egregiously disproportionate you’d mention it, but hearing it costs $7 to manufacture something so expensive makes me a little annoyed at the company haha. I imagine there are lots of other people along the way that have to be paid and it’s probably a more reasonable price than it seems, but I don’t know a lot about those steps.

    Would you guys do a video going through the design, manufacturing decisions that go into making womenswear vs menswear?
    Conversely, what makes for something to be “unisex”?
    If a brand puts out an item that’s available for both their men and women department/lines, what tends to be the adjustments if any that they make?
    Seems more common for Asian brands (E.g. Uniqlo) to show both a male and female model modelling the same item on the item’s e-commerce page.
    Also, would you guys take a look at Muji? There seems to be a narrative that it’s just a branded markup (I know, the irony) on generic manufactured goods without any real input from Muji to justify the markup. That one could buy the same item from the factory source at a fraction of the price Muji charges. Curious if there is something that Muji does add.
    Thirdly, maybe a video looking at garments manufactured in the past via something made today with perhaps the current typical standards and materials? Are the old stuff really made better? Has tech and manufacturing made that much of a progress in terms of making better clothes? Or just more cheaper, throwaway clothes?
    12:47 Lastly any chance you guys may be able to get hold of a macro camera lens (or even just a cellphone macro) for segments like this to more closely show what’s being pointed out? Or perhaps even a microscopic view if that’s relevant to the point.
    Thank you for the videos! Fascinating stuff!

    I tried vouri leggings but found them too sheer, could see panty lines. To me this makes both the product and person look cheap and trashy. Plus knowing the waist band can start to break down after 10 washes (so like two-ish months for me if I use them weekly), that's very poor return on investment. I've been using lululemon for 18 years (!) and never had either issue. I still have the first shirt I ever bought when I was 16 years old, and still use it frequently. I wish the quality from those days would come back.
