My favourite is her foot of the hill quote. I also really like after Tomoya proposed to her, he said he’s pathetic. Nagisa replied “I am too, but together we can be strong.”
Shy people are really interesting to me. I never really understood why no one approaches shy people. Sure, they're shy, but that doesn't mean they don't want a friend or two. Even if it's just quiet companionship; like reading a book with them, or trying a boardgame. Things that don't require a ton of conversation. Shy people hate small talk. So don't approach them like you would an outspoken person. Small talk doesn't really appeal to them. I remember NEVER approaching another person. I always had to be APPROACHED. It's a little mindboggling that no one figured that out.
They are super interesting, but then again so are people in general. They might seem hard to approach because of how soft spoken or seemingly disconnected they are, giving others cold feet. I don't know, but it's fun to think about. It's also super rewarding to get better at communicating with others, especially if it's something you're self conscious about
It's from Tomoyo After, but my favourite quote would be “No matter how much I complain, it’s not like there will come a day when I wish I’d complained more." - Tomoya

@@Totaraum I remember seeing the Clannad gals in "Air" and the Clannad t-shirt in Kanon, but did they show anything from Kanon in Clannad? There should have been something, and I missed it!
@@jduff59 Yes, during Yukine's arc in after story. Nagisa spreads the jam from Kanon on Sanae's bread and the combination knocks out everyone who eats it for like 3 hours
Thank you for this video! I just finished rewatching Clannad and was a bit upset over all the comments saying Tomoya should have been with tomoyo or Kyou and saying Nagisa is so bland. Nagisa has character and she's very relatable. She's got strengths and flaws and I love that Kyoani tries to stick to more realism in Clannad compared to other animes (Of course there is still a bit since it is an anime)
A certain scene made me cry when i rewatched Clannad and it's from the 19th episode of Clannad:After Story when Tomoya wants to apologies to his dad. Tomoya tells him that he can finally rest and go back live with his mom in the country, the place where he swore to raise Tomoya all by himself. Tomoya finishes with : "You've done more than enough. Which is why you should rest. Go back home in the country, go back and live with your mother. How about it?" Naoyuki thinks and then looks at Ushio silently. He then speaks up : "I wonder if it's enough already." "Is what enough?" Asks Tomoya. "I wonder if i've finished things already." After a moment of silence, Tomoya responds to him while looking at the floor. "You've sacrificed everything to raise me, didn't you? You gave up your entire life for me, the incompetent son of yours. Enough is Enough!" Finishes Tomoya on the verge of crying. "I see. It looks like i finished things without even realizing it. I'm glad to hear it. ... I'm glad." Says Naoyuki while Ushio looks at Tomoya all worried. This scene really shows how much Tomoya's dad cared so much about his son when he was little and didn't even realized Tomoya got old enough to care about himself. It really wants to show us that some parents can give up their entire life to raise their children and make them do the same. And i guess that's how parents are defined. Give everything your own parents gave you to your children to make them happy and become good people. That's why since i watched Clannad, i try to thanks my parents by doing things for them and spend time with them, even if i'm far from leaving my home (i'm not old and mature enough to become independent in my opinion). I even feel sometimes guilty when i don't want to go somewhere with them. (In the french subtitles, Naoyuki says "Have I succeeded in making you a man?" instead of "I wonder if i've finished things already." and that's the reason i wanted to talk about this scene.)
The line about babies in the dub is the only W it has over the subs. Also, this just makes me want to watch CLANNAD even more, even know I know it's going to fucking hit me even harder than when I watched it for the first time 6-7 years ago
