- We already discussed the MOST important things to do FIRST when planning your trip to Shades of Green on Walt Disney World Resort...so whats next? We are breaking down the next things you should do to get ready for your big trip. These are things you don't want to wait on. Park reservations, dining reservations, special tours and extra activities that aren't otherwise included in your stay or with your park tickets. These go FAST so you'll want to consider what your family will want to do before this time comes. Once you have decided on these things you'll want to link everything to My Disney Experience (MDE). In this video I'll walk you through that to show you what works best and give you tips to avoid mistakes that we have made in the past. I hope this is helpful and provides a little more peace of mind as we guide you through this process. Just a topic for you. Split stays. On our honeymoon, my wife and I stayed at two resorts, the Contemporary and the Boardwalk. When you split your stay, your ability to reserve activities or resturants splits as well. We could only reserve 60 days before the first hotel stay. Then we had to wait 4 days to reserve for the next hotel stay. It's no big deal just annoying.

I did the Epcot DiveQuest and the Elephants. Both were AWESOME!😊

Also, seeing humans standing looking at you as you dive while a Hammerhead comes within a foot of you is a phenomenal experience.
Oh no way! Ha! That’s so cool! I looked into the dive briefly bc it sounds really fun. I was sad to see you can’t bring any GoPros on the dive but maybe we will do it someday. Or we will just go back to Hawaii and visit our buddies there 😜 The elephant tour would be another one I’d pick…or that jungle trek…is that what it’s called? The one where you hike around the Kilimanjaro safari animal exhibits on the rope bridges etc…I’ve had my heart set on that for a while now.

Looking forward to going back to SOG after 5 years! I love going through all your videos and getting caught up on all the changes at Disney. I know all your tips will be so helpful. If you had to pick which park to go to twice in one week which would you choose? Grandsons 8 and 13 will be with me. ( will be going in the fall. SOG already reserved )

Ooo ok, my question is: are the boys into Star Wars? If yes then Hollywood Studios might be your answer. If they are so so about that then Epcot might be my next answer especially if they like Test Track or want to ride Guardians of the Galaxy a couple times (that seems to be everyone’s favorite ride lately and still very popular) Epcot also has the most ground to cover between the rides and the food stands. On the other hand, I would always say Magic Kingdom if I were considering my favorites and my daughters preferences but I feel like it’s the park with the most Magic in general. It’s iconic. And also has the newer coaster TRON that they might be big fans of.
That probably doesn’t help answer your question but I hope it gives you some insight and factors to consider when deciding. And remember, if you have park hoppers you can always visit any of these parks again for a partial day. We tend to do split park days with Hollywood studios and animal kingdom and seem to be able to hit our favorites in one day. Since you’re going in the fall you still have a bit of time to think about your options though. 🥳
For those of you who have used the military tickets that were already activated at SOG have you been asked for ID at the gate?

Do you HAVE to link your SOG hotel to your My Disney Experience? Asking because I don’t have a desktop. Only have an iPhone
I’m sure you’re not the only one so this is a really great question! If you’re wanting to take advantage of things like early magic hours and extended park hours you WILL need to have the resort linked or be able to prove you’re staying at Shades of Green. I would suggest, in your case, to call Disney and give them your confirmation number and let them add it to your MDE account for you. They should definitely be able to do that. I would hate for you to miss out on something because it’s not linked. It will make things so much easier for you ☺️

for some reason I couldn’t get mine to link but I called Disney with my SOG confirmation number and they were able to link it on the phone.
