[Taken on 7-8-2024] Hello everyone! Welcome to the Shades of Green. This place opened in 1994 as a recreation center for military members. However, some parts of the hotel were actually constructed in 1973 when the property opened under previous name and ownership. It is divided into two wings, the Magnolia, and the Palm. The Magnolia has 3 floors and the Palm has 5 floors. The Magnolia Wing contains most of the amenities and pools while the Palm Wing houses the parking garage and fitness center. This quaint and seclusive gem is an absolute steal for members of the military. This place has the cheapest rates for any hotel room on Disney's premesis. The property is beautiful and sits right on Disney's Magnolia, Palm, and Oak Trail Golf Courses. It has three restaurants, dozens of conference rooms, laundry facilities, gorgeous scenic walks, fitness center, and convenience store. It even has a ticket center where you can buy discounted tickets to Disney, Universal Studios, and pretty much any other Orlando area attraction. The location is just perfect, as you are right across the street from monorail access via Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's TIcket & Transportation Center, which takes you to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. They also have bus service to practically every place on Disney property. Their bus schedules are posted near the station under the car lobby.
