    有点儿 I hardly ever see 儿 at the end of a word. What is the function? It is basically Er attached to the end of yǒudǐan but why?

    • @Akikolingoland
      @Akikolingoland  4 года назад +1

      It's called 儿化 ('er-ization'). This speech variety exists in Northen China, and to some extent in Standard Mandarin. Southerners do not like it, so if you are more exposed to Southerners you may not have heard it. Also, this basically is spoken Mandarin, so we see it less in written form than spoken.

      Hi you can find the slower version here: bit.do/yidianr I couldn't put them all in the video as it would make it way too long. Click the recordings for the sentences. The recordings are in both normal and slow speed. Sorry I should have made this clear in the video...

    你好。Why don't you use 个 or 件 in this sentence: 这衣服有点儿小?

    • @Akikolingoland
      @Akikolingoland  7 лет назад

      你好!You can use 件. When used with 这、那, the measure word is sometimes omitted. But for 衣服, 个 wouldn't be a good choice, though admittedly sometimes people use it too, though pretty rare.

  • @ubermenschen3636
    @ubermenschen3636 3 года назад

    @2:26, your translation needs to be more concise. Here, the “please” has no corresponding Chinese character. For beginner student, such omission is a disaster at best, very discouraging at worst.
