Honestly the resolution of a camera is totally dependant with the lens quality, i'd imagine with a high contrasty zeiss lens the diffrence in megapixels would be more noticeable.
True the lens definitely affects the resolution. The lenses I used were listed in the description if you care to look. I think RUclips compression is potentially affecting the image the most in this case
Hey dude! Fantastic video! I love hearing this perspective from a photographer. I definitely think the XT-5 is fantastic move from Fuji. I'm personally not a Fuji fan and I'm not a bit film emulation person. But I do find the 40mp sensor tempting especially for on a smaller sensor. I primarily use my E-M1 II for product photography and the high res mode gets really annoying with flash. NOT to mention, I'm NOT a fan of the swivel flip screen found in nearly all cameras now. I MUCH prefer the simple pull out tilt screen. Now, I'd LOVE to see you take on the XH2 as it's the same sensor but a bit more hybrid focused.
Hey bro! Appreciate you stopping by! Interesting to hear you prefer the tilt screen as well, I’m assuming you are a photographer then. I’ll see about getting ahold of the XH2, could be fun!
Is it difficult to make another frame on the backside to provde a flip out option? I love the screen on the XT3/XT5 and another frame to allow a flip out would be the best of both worlds. Please, fuji.
I have to agree with you Connor. I decided not to jump to the 40. I own the Fujifilm XH2S, which to me feels like a natural evolution from my Fujifilm, XT4 and xh1. Since I'm a 50/50 shooter it just made more sense.
@@connormccaskill no it is good as Sony if you know right settings for continous autofocus. Eye tracking works amazing. I have watched video where Canon or Sony fails and Fuji Xt-5 in focus or opposite. It depends on the situation and the user.
No way is the X-T5 autofocus as good as Sony especially in sports situation or other fast moving subject. And very dissapointing to hear that even in studio portrait photography X-T5 manages to produce some out-of-focus shots. After 5 iterations of this X model and countless firmware updates that claim autofocus improvement it would be nice if Fuji stopped with the baby steps and do better (much better) in this area.
@@GKhanKutar I simply disagree, but that’s just my opinion after side by side comparing these camera over the years. I’d be curious to know what these settings are that you’re using with the XT5. Appreciate you stopping by the channel still.
@@VideoCanuk I don’t even have out of focus shots that many with my GFX100 camera so I don’t trust every person on youtube channel. Take the camera and use it yourself. And I am done with this “Sony autofocus” cliche words. Sorry
I just got the Xt5, and I love it. However, if I had an XT4, I probably would not upgrade to it.
Glad you’re enjoying your XT5
You were born for RUclips! Excellent comparison on these two cameras
Yo! Appreciate the kind words!
There is some gorgeous footage in here. Great first video, bro! Love this! Would love to see some XH2S content!
I’ll definitely try to snag that camera! Hi David 👋🏻
Yes XH2S comparisons please!
I let Cam borrow my XH2S for like 3 days and almost had them converted to Fuji lol. But he just had to jump to Sony
Vlogging on the XT5(low light, concerts, and night time included) would be dope.
Noted! Thanks for the comment!
Yo that would be fresh!

Sir please tell me nikon zf vs fuji xt5 vs fuji x100 v ? Which one is great i want to do street photography?
All are great, but if you only do street photography you could probably get away with the 100V. But that's just my opinion.
@@connormccaskill last question can we change lens in fuji x100v?
I'm currently using the X-T4 with the Xh2 and I love this combo.
Dude that’s awesome
Great video Connor, looking forward to seeing you in front of the camera a bit more frequently.
Yo appreciate it man!
Let’s go!!! Nice first vid!
Thank you!! Appreciate you guys
The difference becomes clearer at 400% zoom. Uh, ok...
Personally, I could tell the difference on my phone without it being on full screen. Depends on where the individual is looking
Dropping some heat bro 🔥
Thanks 💯

What were the lights you guys were using in the studio? Can you share links?
It was the Aperture 300d Mark II and the Aputure Amaran F22c. Here's the links: amzn.to/3YZ74yq // amzn.to/3Jxg2gq
@@connormccaskill thank you, I also noticed you guys were using a tube light as well, do you know the brand and mode by chance?
@@thedanwriter1 Hmmm, I think it was a Nanlite Pavotube if my memory serves me right. Here's a link: amzn.to/42mz7L0
Hey what are the socials of your friend photographer? Awesome photographs, really like the colours.
I think I linked his IG in the description
Great video! Love the feel forsure
If you’d like to show how to colograde f log (2) in Final Cut that would be awesome!
Great suggestion! I am definitely considering making tutorials in the future. Thanks for stopping by the channel.
great review , what caps for camera was used at 3:58?
Thanks I use Kondor Blue caps. It’s linked in the description
3:50, wait does the fujifilm xt4 not have film simulation?
The XT4 has film sims, but not Nostalgic Neg. which was added to the newest Fujifilm cameras like the XT5
@@connormccaskill Ah okay got it!

Gh6 has flip out and tilt up functions
You actually missed a major difference.... The XT4 can be used with a battery grip, while the xt5 does not support it.
is this a huge drawback for refusing to buy an X-T5?
Is that the 16-55/2.8 ?
Yup!
THE ME

I’d like to see some video on the XH2S if you have any connections…. 😂
Mayyyybe I do 👀

Oh nice, I dig the XH2s! Hoping to get a chance to mess with it soon
Good video Connor!
Thanks bro!!
Makes me want to buy a Fuji now. Oh wait, I already have one 🤔.
👏
Excellent job!
Thank you!
man you came in hitting hard!
Yeah bro, I ain’t messing around ha
You should learn focusing settings better instead of asking Fujifilm for firmware updates. XT-5 has already amazing autofocusing
It does have good AF, I simply meant to say it isn’t quite as good as Sony for example
