KI is just so watchable. You can tell when something impressive is happening, like 3rd Strike. The game just has this natural back and forth that most other fighters don't have.
Yea,i love combo heavily fighting game like DBFZ,mkx,... KI is my all time favorite fighting game to watch and play. It so much fun,the only negative that the game has that a lot of characters outro is lackluster
I picked it up a few days ago and it's really something else. It's never your turn, you have to be always mixing him up and capitalize on his mistakes. The breaker system is a thing of genius, they managed to make combos interactive and as a result I think this is really the only game that constantly keeps you on your toes.
Not looking for attention but I just want to thank max for being awesome for years. I was around 13 when I subscribe to max an it help me get through a hard time in life. Thanks for showing me these fun games that are now my hobby.

That's how you end up with Battletoads in the game. (No, it's not just an arbitrary choice because Microsoft had the rights through Rare.) I guess what I saying is, the audiovisual design of the entire KI _franchise_ isn't my taste. Which sucks, because I really like some other elements such as the combo system.

I like how Max can just play and observe and pinpoint what someone is trying to do then devise a counter so quickly, whether he ends up failing or not. Always been a thing with Max that made me enjoy watching his matches no matter what fighting game. I usually take almost 10x as much matches against a single opponent before I figure out their flow chart. But it does feel good when you figure it out and shut them down so bad they don't even want to rematch because they can't rely on it anymore.
My great contribution to the Dood Community: Trolling through the use of a fucking FROG! But it gives me a reason to play this wonderful game again, and it's always good for a laugh!
With Rash, Arbitor, and General RAAM..... I think Microsoft has a Super Smash Brothers in the making. Imagine this game.... With the camera pulled back a bit, and four characters on screen? Or how about MvC style Assit/ 2v2 gameplay, KI Fighting Mechs, and Smash Style Roster?
its funny how everything about KI is beautiful. I remember some time ago i was pressing up and down on the menus because it makes a very nice sound when you do that. Imagine a game where even the menus are fun.
I played KI 2013 not too long ago, and I thought the game would be hard to get into as Street Fighter, but my dood, the controls are BUTTERY SMOOTH, it’s like washing a non-stick pan with the soft part of the sponge, it’s so accessible, and the controls are mega-easier than Street Fighter! I feel the game’s freedom everytime I play it! Dude, you’ve GOT to get KI 2013 and head straight into Dojo Mode, it’ll teach you everything about the game and all the FGC technical terms, and you’ll grow into a Master in no time! The controls. Are smooth. Like BUTTER! AND JELLY!
The combo system in Killer Instinct is great. I agree that there aren’t no bnb combos, but the structure is pick opener, get two more hits in, pick link, get two more hits in repeat or finisher. If you don’t pull off the finisher the damage for the combo is a lot less than it should be. This system though adds to some really fun match ups though. The same system can be easily broken by a combo breaker, but if you fail to pick the correct breaker you get pummeled for what seems like an eternity. This game was the only reason I bought a XBONE. Now it’s on Steam, but I loved it and the only way to own it at the time was on XBONE. My favorite series are Tekken and Blazblue, but right after that is Killer Instinct just based on its sheer fun factor.
Max: I'm not good at the game, man. Also Max: Has played the game since season 1 and boss raged Shadow Jago and Aria, AKA, beat them in the hardest difficulty, and beat the fight against Gargos, AKA, one of the hardest bosses in the game.

KI is the ONLY thing on Widows Store that's worth it. If you still use Windows 7 though, just buy the steam version. It's not free like the other versions are, but it's better than putting up with Windows 10.
Max do you plan on trying Them's Fighting Herds? I have a feeling you'd like a lot of the character's playstyles~! The combo system is freeform in that game as well

Although I haven't played this KI game I did play the original as a kid and it brings back so many memories. This game definitely has a unique feel

Just hit the dojo to learn the tutorial and practice your moves, you can do it. It's quite awesome to get into.
The combos breaker counter counterbreaker etc is why in term of gameplay, I think KI is leagues above MK11
