    Some of the words describing this cake on Facebook .. Dainty, Old School, Martha Stewart Approved, Cameo Cake, Classy, Vintage Tea Party, Wedgewood, Timeless, Magnificent, Lovely, Gorgeous and on and on. I think people like it LOL Do you ??? These cakes used to be so popular in the 80's That's when I first began with my first business called Lorelie's Luscious Cakes.

      @Nettie Pearl Hi. So the Lambeth method is much more complex. It's over piping and very three dimensional. I call this Lambeth Light. REALLY light. You'll see what I mean if you search English over piping or the Lambeth Method.     This cake is EVERYTHING the facebook says it is. I don't know why they call it old school, it (the piping detail) is a lot more work, is elegant and classy and just plain gorgeous. 🤗🤗

      When I began decorating in the mid 80's this is what we did. A lot of people call it that. But Its Timeless.

      Thanks. Next Time i am in the editing mode I will look up the piece. It is a classical piece that I got from the RUclips studio. They have some really nice free music choices for us.

      I would do a combo of cream cheese and buttercream to make it a little smoother. But you could of course just do the cream cheese frosting. I found it doesn't cover as well. have fun. xo

      Cakes with Lorelie my wedding was 5/7/2020.. i made a cake same in the video, the decoration i made was beautiful but the details wasn’t perfect as you.. but im so satisfied because the guest happy with my cake, they said it was beautiful 🥰

    How many batches of your Italian meringue buttercream did you use for this cake? Would love to try and make this beautiful cake for my birthday!

      This was a 6 inch cake so most likely one batch which is equal to about 4 cups buttercream. Possibly a little more. I don't remember now. But I think thats about right.

      @@sandiestafford4085 Yes and the narrower end of the tip is facing outwards. The thicker is down. This creates the thin outer edges.

      Hi it says in the video the nunbers of the tips I used. 104, 14 and a 5. Also if you scroll down you will see where it says key moments in the video. That will take you to specific parts of the decorating. Just so you know for the next time. Thanks
