I really hope you enjoy this weeks video where I show you how to pipe these 3 different ruffle effects. Let me know in the comments, which one is your favourite?
Hi.. It's soo pretty... And is it possible to put buttercream ruffle on a fondant cake??
I love the 2nd one
Hi. I just found your channel. Thank you for the video. 1 or 3. Favoring 3. They're all awesome.
I love the horizontal ruffles the best because I think I may be able to do it as a beginner but the random design is a close second. Love this. ❤
The first one is my favorite 😍
Thanks for sharing
Again, youre always very inspiring with your fresh cake decorating ideas, Lynz!! ❤❤❤

I simply love your tutorials. They’re excellent, thank you very much. Could you possibly do a buttercream wave cake tutorial oneday? They look so striking, but I have no clue how to go about it. xxx

Wow, sooo cute
Very interesting thank you
Very helpful thank you 🌹🌹
Love it😍😍
These are beautiful and I love your accent! I was wondering, could you do ruffles with a Swiss meringue buttercream? Or would it be too soft? Do you need a stiffer buttercream for these?
I just subscribed to your channel. You’re really talented 🤗 I like the second one 😊
Thank you so much for subscribing and welcome to the channel. I hope you will find the tutorials really helpful.
Hermoso thankyou
This is amazing.... 😻💟
Thank you so much
Brilliant tutorial, I have no preference to which style all three are so good, but I think i prefer the buttetcream to the fondant version.
I am so glad you like them all. The buttercream ruffles are alot quicker to create than fondant ones.
Thank you and I love all
I am so glad you like them all. Thank you for watching
Hello, all your cakes are really nice.
I will make a cake with your first ruffle technique, but I would like to know if I can make this technique in a cake one day before of the event. I am using Swiss meringue buttercream with butter.
Thank you!
I really love it all 😍 , is that Swiss butter cream ?
Question I can use the last tip to do the second design right?
Excelente
Absolutely stunning & just what I need for a baby shower cake. What size was this cake & how much but buttercream did you need?
I'm doing a 6" round with 5 1" tiers.
Cheers x 👍
Mam, i am new subscriber. In kerala, 👌👌👍💕💕
Thank you! Can I use chantilly and hace the same effect?
Bella👏👏👏👏🥰
They all look B E A U T I F U L. I always enjoy watching your tutorials, it's very informative. As a newbie in baking without any baking course background, watching online tutorials is very helpful for me. I manage to decorate a cake using fondant but buttercream I'm still I'm in the process of learning. I made some but I'm still not satisfied for the outcome :-D... Anyway, greetings from the Netherlands!
Hi Faye, Thank you so much, I'm so glad you like them all. I can't pick a favourite either. I'm so glad you enjoy the tutorials and they are helping you. I was exactly the same way as you. I learnt by watching tutorials and reading blogs and just alot of practising. I have a video on how I create my buttercream if this would be any help. I have linked to it in the description below the video.
@@CakesbyLynz I already copied your buttercream :-) It's more like the technique in decorating using buttercream is still in the process to learn. But I'm glad you are there, I'm a fan across the other side of the world ;-)
Yay thank you so much!
Hi Tahira, I hope you will find these techniques helpful for your own cakes.
@@CakesbyLynz I was actually just looking for a Video like this!
@@tahirasweet5437 what good timing. I hope there is a style there that you want to use, they all looked really pretty.
Thank you very much
You are very welcome. I hope you will be able to use these techniques on your cakes
Thankyou so much
You are very welcome 😊 I hope you found it useful
I love number 3
So nice love
I'm from Iraq
Thank you so much Jana
Love your videos I’ve learnt so much! How long do you leave the cake in the fridge to cool after the crumb coat? X
Hi Rebecca, Thank you so much, I'm so happy to hear you have leant alot from the videos. I usually leave my cakes in the fridge for around 30 minutes after I have added on the crumb coat.
@@CakesbyLynz Thank you so much for your reply x
❤️❤️❤️❤️
🌺🌺
Good work
Thank you so much 😀
These look beautiful. I struggle piping buttercream as the bag always gets warm in my hand and starts to melt. I end up having two bags, one in the fridge and one I'm using and swapping them over every 5 minutes
Hi Kelly, Thank you so much. It can be so hard when the buttercream gets too warm. I would suggest just adding really small amounts of buttercream at a time. The piping bags I use are great as you can't add a huge amount of buttercream like some bags, but I find this perfect and it doesn't heat up too much before I've used it. I can then just refill the bag with fresh buttercream.
@@CakesbyLynz thanks so much for your reply 😁😁🎂

Hello, in the meanwhile I have only the 104. May I try all the styles with it or does the second one need the 124 to look effective?
Hi Kim, You can definitely use the 104 piping tip for all 3. the only difference is the ruffle will be slightly shorter, but there really isn't much difference in the size. Any petal tip with the tear drip shape can be used for all 3. I hope you enjoy trying them out.
Thx Lynz, have been looking 4this tutorial, but thank God have found it with u. But what am asking can you use the ruffle design too with royal icing? thx
Hi, I'm so pleased the video is what you have been looking for. You could definitely do similar with royal icing, but you would need it to be really thick so it keeps its shape once you've piped them.
@@CakesbyLynz hi ,thx Lynz ,have got u well.👌👌🤚.I will give it a try
Thx dia, I will give it a try Lynz.👌
Does the cake have to be really cold to start piping or has to be room remperature please?
🥰🥰🥰
Hi Lyndz I need a recipe for butter cream icing, am in Swaziland and we don't have vegetable shortening. What can I use with my butter.
Hi, here is a link to my buttercream recipe. I don't actually add shortening to my buttercream, only butter, icing sugar, my favouring and a dash of milk. ruclips.net/video/tJ_T9WJEgXg/видео.html
Can we do this in whipping cream
Would you recommend this technique for a 15in round cake??? Its for a sweet 16th and im undecided if to do buttercream or just do fondant
Hi Lizbeth, for a 15 inch cake buttercream ruffles will be a lot quicker than fondant ruffles. I think the buttercream ruffles look so pretty on any size cake.
@@CakesbyLynz thank you so much Thats what i was thinking ! I just started baking in Texas im still learning, but your videos have helped me ALOT! Thank you!!
Can we do it with whipped cream???
Thank you very much for this tutorial. My personal choise is the first ruffle 🥰 Is this the only buttercream what will hold? Most of the people I bake for don't like the grindy american buttercream.
Hi Bianca, You are so welcome. I really like the first one too, I think it looks like a ruffled tutu. In regards to the buttercream I only tend to use American buttercream, but other buttercream will also work. You just need it to be a buttercream that keeps its shape once its been piped.
Hi Lynz,
Can I do white/ pink ruffles? What I mean, by adding white frosting on one side of my piping bag and pink on the other side, in the same piping bag. I do that a lot when I do cupcakes but the ruffles are a bit more intimidating. What do you think?
I think that would look do pretty with the 2 tone buttercream, definitely!
Thanks for you immediate response, also forgot to add that I'll be using Italian Meringue Buttercream. Hoping that will work.
You do the most beautiful cakes and you are so creative.
If I am doing a 10 doable what tip size do I use
I think pink colour is your favorite colour ❤️
I think your right. I really do love a pink cake.
Do you know how to get the effect of ruffly roses for a flamingo cake?
Alguien me puede decir que tipo de crema está utilizando?
Please recipe Royal icing with out creame of Tartar and egg powder
Im a cake decorater as well
Can these ruffles be made in advance
