Sean H, You're absolutely right. this film is basically director David Robert Mitchell allowing us into his subconscious. Which is really what any great filmmaker from Hitchcock to Spielberg is trying to do. The whole movie is a dream sequence from start to finish. and needs to be viewed as such. But once that's established, the film is a triumph of storytelling. In my opinion it sits right along Alphonso Cauron's Gravity, Hitchcock's Vertigo, and Spielberg's War Of The Worlds as a truly daring exploration of movies as filmed dreams. which is really what every great writer/director is doing anyway, since anything they create is, at the end of the day, a product of their unconscious in the first place.
this has become one of my favorite movies of all time i guess i was just feeling it, i grew up in Los Angeles my entire life and this just blew me away in an odd way i have had similar experiences living in this city while developing a parasocial relationship or worlds colliding and this made me feel it

Gage Welch Andrew Garfield is the real Spider-Man
And a real gentleman too!
YESSS HOW DO WE BRING HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!! WE CAN DO ITTTT
In my opinion it sits right along Alphonso Cauron's Gravity, Hitchcock's Vertigo, and Spielberg's War Of The Worlds as a truly daring exploration of movies as filmed dreams. which is really what every great writer/director is doing anyway, since anything they create is, at the end of the day, a product of their unconscious in the first place.
this has become one of my favorite movies of all time
i guess i was just feeling it, i grew up in Los Angeles my entire life and this just blew me away
in an odd way i have had similar experiences living in this city while developing a parasocial relationship or worlds colliding and this made me feel it
This movie is so cool. It’s an homage to those old noire crime films ad I think it pulls it off perfectly.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER MADE!
A24 + David Robert Mitchell (writer & director of It Follows) ! I'm in (:
A24 IS THE BEST....
God this movie was shot perfectly, beautiful soundtrack, gets u thinking for days and sticks with u it's like watching a modern 70s/60s style of film and I loved it
Watched it yesterday. It has its very own Lynchcock (Lynch + Hitchcock) vibes. Absolutely adored it
Finally a proper Andrew Garfield, Topher Grace vehicle
Violent Femmes - Add it up. Super underrated band and NOT a one hit wonder
