Before I started listening to Greg, I had no idea what I didn't know. Probably knocking off years of making mistakes and learning the hard way.

Thank you, yes learning the fundamentals of all kinds take years off your development time as you don't need to discover them on your own. Learn them, then get better at them with 10K hours of stage time.

Greg is a great teacher on this subject! I've taken several classes and have been doing stand up for 5 years now. Thanks Greg for always sharing information to help us grow!

It's amazing to watch Greg explain some complex in simple ways we can break down. I knew it was very involved but now I understand why. Now I can practice correctly!!

It's all about the relationship with the audience. Cheers,

I definitely do this sometimes, rehearse myself stupid to the point I’m basically up there performing a memorized set, word for word without allowing myself to really connect and have a relationship with the audience. Amazing information in this video sir, thank you so much!!

Try turning you jokes into scenes so you can tell the story. Keep at it.

Thanks so much for sharing this knowledge, Greg!
Feels natural, but I do tend to mutter a comment to myself after delivering something to the audience. I need to cut that out, unless I can be clear about what it is I'm muttering about. Richard Lewis syndrome!

Stop muttering and say it out loud as the tag.

@@gregdeancomedy turned the mutters into clear (still mutter-like) tags and it worked tonight! One dead spot in there from going off track a little. Optimistic newbie! Thanks, Greg! Also, I'm grateful for all the content you have on RUclips and your audible book!

I’m guilty of getting out of sync. I forgot the next bit..vocalize it and then I skip the bit. Sucks because I the bit afterward has callbacks to the bit I forget

Turn you material into scenes so you can see it tell the story. All the best.
