@Kwok Yat Wai That's EXACTLY what I said? I speak 8 languages and korean was the easiest one ever. It is impressive, sure but an average person can master the script in less than a week if I did it in 30 mins.
Hey man, I just wanted to say I found your channel about a week ago and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The energy you bring to each episode is contagious. Thanks for the quality content. You rock.
Is cheese a novelty thing in South Korea? Judging by your videos South Koreans are taking the american route of "I'd eat a truck tire if it had cheese on it".
Well as a Korean where I have spent more than a fair share of my life in "western countries", I absolutely abhor cheese in my Korean food. Yet sadly cheese has been a growing trend in the last decade or so. In my perspective processed mozzarella is a cheap way of adding flavor to somewhat cheaper or sweet spicy foods which lack elegant flavor profiles and somewhat redundant. Now I should mention that I love cheese where it should be, even the processed ones, but not on Korean foods. There are traditional foods where addition of cheese would be a blasphemy and these would be the foods that i would recommend as the worthwhile foods. Sonny does a great food show and i respect his respect towards other cultures but it does seem he slightly miss portrays our cuisine in general.
Koko - don't believe everything you watch on yt. In other words, you're only being shown fraction of what real Korea is like. I went there myself after watching all these videos, and I mean what I say!!!
For those saying that the Korean guide is rude, do realize that she is being professional. I know that there are some guides that can match Sonny's comedic timing, but you cannot expect all guides to do the same. She guides Sonny to the places being featured, introduces Sonny to the owner, gives short explanation on the food, and eats when given cue. She is not paid to be a professional host in a youtube channel. I believed Sonny would have contacted Korean youtubers to host with him, but perhaps most of them are not available?
My god, if you ever come back to Korea, I CAN SHOW U THE REAL DEAL. I could be so much better at being a tour guide, I majored culinary, cooked at hotels and michelin star restaurants to 5-9 bucks range diners, now owning my own restaurant. I love your channel so much and.. I’m not saying she did a bad job but I COULD HAVE DONE SO MUCH BETTER!! UGHHhhh such a bummer for me to watch as a Korean since you could have experienced so much more on a deeper level 😫 but still, loved the video as always❤️
Love your show Sunny and to see you in Isacs toast is great. The two guys over on “The Korean Englishman” Josh and Ollie would love this (Ollie is an Isacs fan boy, big time).
streetfood vids are my fav kinds of videos!! agreed about food in korea being kinda pricey. i would spend all my time at Gwangjang Market and Hongdae. yums and cheaper!
I like your show, your so friendly and respective towards the people and food. I was actually trying to search your videos because I came across one of your video you were in Vietnam ordering a huge boat platter full of seafood which I love seafood, and always no food goes to waste. Your an awesome guy, please continue making more videos! :D
It's always a pleasure to watch your videos! You can really find some cheaper and healthier options near the old markets around Korea. For example, there is a place near Insadong that serves gukbap (Korean soup with rice) for only about 2$. I went to a place in Daejeon recently that sells pork-head soup with rice for less than 1$ (1,000won). Hahaha.... I would suggest if you need to save money, going to places like this. You can eat a traditional meal which is much healthier for you for even cheaper! But, really great video, as always! Cheers!!
I like this "cheap food" slant, and really like the idea of getting advice from people on the spot! Don't ask the vendor, ask some college students eating street food, I'm thinking. There's a lot of content here! For instance, I like Tteokbokki, and have to make it myself in general. A Korean professor told me there's a street in Seoul where they sell mostly that one dish! Now, there's some depth, you can talk to people about it, try different versions of the one dish....
Fried egg with kimchi and rice is addictive! Tuna salad on rice with kimchi is also a fave snack of mine. Sprinkle seaweed on it... yum. I love this street food!
yes the co host comes across as emotionless but that made me laugh more! she's alright, she didn't graft in the reaction or convo stakes but she ate everything so fair enough
I've watched this video 3 times and the best part is when he stops her to smash her burger and she has this look like don't tell me what to do. It cracks me up every time. Maybe that's why I keep going back to the video. 🤣🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

Ice King maybe he edited it a week ago and now he just uploading it.
Best Ever Food Review Show you are the best
WOW that first thing you bought with the cheesy egg and stuff that is like OMG so good that would cost atleast like 20$ in the west :O
You're an inspiration Sonny! I did 3 onetrip tours because of you.
Any plans of visiting Myanmar and doing some food review there?
The co host is definitely just there for the free food. She’s almost like ‘yeah yeah yeah stop talking and let me eat.’ 😂😂😂
omg ikr and she's rude af
My thoughts exactly, at least smile and get all excited or do something fun. Shes just there for the free food, so rude..
She seems annoyed like she's just for the food
hahahahha the guy was explaining the food while she was just eating lol xd
Yeah😂😂😂
The owner of the rice burger shop seems to be a better fit as his co-host than the woman in the video haha!

He sounds so cute when he is speaking Korean. And I’m impressed he can read Korean.
Reading hangul isn't really a problem, speaking the language is hard tho
I learned how to read in like 30 mins. It was the easiest language I've learned. no cap
But he often forgets to stick a "yo" at the end 😅
