You pointed it exactly! When Korean nanny feeds others with her own hands, it means she feels the person like her own son or family members or person in close relationship.
I have lived in Seoul, Korea twice while stationed with the U.S. Army. While there I learned to love everything about the Korean people, the wonderful food and the culture. Seoul is one of my all time favorite places on earth. Thank you for bringing back my amazing memories of Korea.
That lady's hand is famous! It fed me Mayak Kimbap before. Though when I was dressed up as a dude haha. Good seeing you enjoy Korea and its tasty food scene!
I'm 36 and my mom is Korean. she did this to me the other day and it caught me off guard cause I'm grown but I'm still her son so I opened my mouth, lol
Awesome lady my heart goes to her and her gracious kindness, awesome video!, thank you for being out there, I see a wonderful world out there through you guy's!
Mark, I just rediscovered your playlist of South Korea - one of my favorite video series that you've done! I really appreciate the way you react to the disappointing Starbucks experience - honest, but still very calm, very patient. Thanks for all your amazing work, I hope you and Ying and Micah are all safe and well during this difficult time.
Yeah. I watch him before I travel a country. But because we can't travel due to Covid, I'll be hanging around his account as he lives out my dream life
I’m just starting to watch the video I loved how that face came with that internet not working and then THE PLACE THE COFFEE THE INTERNET AND SUCCESS THAT SMILE AND LEAN THE DAY HAS GOTTEN BETTER! I love this
Mark and Ying, I have not cooked with oxtail but you have me inspired. Hello Sam! I could spend an entire day at that market! Oh my! The fried chilies. Wonderful food. Enjoyed. TFS :)
Hey Mark! I have a 4 year old son who is such a picky eater. Recently, I have been watching migrationology videos with my son... After watching your videos, he has become more brave in trying out new foods! He even makes the trademark Mark Wiens face (where you close your eyes in food-ecstasy) every time he tastes something good. Keep the videos coming and thanks for helping out my son!
Oh wow... I have to say the fried chicken looked so good. I'll have to try that at home with ground thai chilies in the batter. Thank you for sharing Mark and Ying, cant wait till your next stop.
I can't go a day without watching these videos .I wake up to my home on the floor from me falling asleep after watching all night. I'm addicted, I get so hungry I love oxtails I'm makeing some Sunday....love you mark and ming
Thank you Mark for sharing your culinary adventures and the beautiful places you and Ying are blessed to visit. We delight and enjoy watching your videos.
Absolutely thrilled to see Mark meeting up a friend he knew in Kenya back during his school days. Am Kenyan and I have been following his vlog for years. Regrettably, I don't think he has fully discharged his due to satisfy his Kenyan heritage. He should come back for an extensive exploration of our local culinary landscape, especially the superb Coastal dishes of Mombasa city. That said, I have nothing but admiration for his awesome work. Go boy, Go!
I was happy when you posted this latest video from Korea. I'm enjoying Korea right along with you. It's a treat when I see you have posted a new video.

It's called "Jeong", it's a culture in korea where you care for others first. It's hard to explain, but it's like an expression of love for the community.
What a nice lady, that vendor was. My appetite increases each time I watch your videos. Congrats on your success, Mark. I was here when you had around 10k subs or so, and it really heartens me to see that your channel has grown to over 400k subs. Hope to see it reach 500k soon, and eventually 1 million. Keep up the good work!

Hello Mark, Just wanted to thank you for such an awesome and comprehensive range vlogs in Seoul. I just got back from a 5 day trip- your vlogs were invaluable! Thanks again!
Personal question if you don't mind: Where were you born Mark and what countries have you lived in? I love these videos, and they have really sparked my interest in trying different cuisines. I have been especially interested in Korean and Thai dishes. Thanks for all your hard work.
"I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, attended my first year of school in the tiny town of Albertville, France, was home-schooled for 3 years in the jungle of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and attended a Christian international school (Rosslyn Academy) in Nairobi, Kenya for 8 years. After high school, I returned to the US, attended Arizona State University, and graduated in 2008 with a bachelors degree in Global Studies. During university my hunger to learn more about the world and eat more delicious food grew. In 2008, right after graduating, I set off to travel through South America on a solo trip with few plans. I ended up taking a TESOL certificate course to teach English, and hiking through the mountains of Patagonia." migrationology.com/about/

Hi Mark, I usually watch you before I travel a country. The first one was in Hong Kong. Because of Covid and the Philippines being locked down for more than six months now, I've started watching you again as you live out my dream life. Thanks for bringing the outside inside our quarantined house. You are a joy in my life.
I didn't throw up eating this. I did, however, threw up after eating Punjabi Curry though. I think the cook likely used his LEFT hand to prepare the food instead of right hand. To all Punjabis..another reminder to please use your RIGHT hand to prepare whatever dish as LEFT bare hand is used exclusively to wipe off feces from thy bxtthole.
absolutely love your videos! i wasn't completely sure if you'd be one of the type of youtubers i like but your amazingly good and kind and i love the relationship you and your wife have!
Food is incredible, it represents the culture and brings people close to each other. Thank you Mark, you're doing amazing job, watch your videos help me know more about other countries. -From VIETNAM-
Hi Mark and Ying every night before my husband and i go to sleep it's our habit to watch your videos and it's incredibly awesome to see you trying out all the traditional foods in every country that u visited especially the street foods. Take care always and may God bless all your travels and keep you and ying safe always. Regards Rosa and Teng from Dubai UAE
She does seem to be getting used to it more, I saw here quite a bit in these Korea videos. Perhaps only seeing her occasionally adds to the joy, it's like seeing a unicorn!
It's so nice to watch your Vlog after a long work day. Just seeing all the tasty food, exotic location and that cheeze smile on your face every time you eat just make my day. Thanks man!

Hi Mark, love your videos and I love your enthusiasm when you first take a bit of your meal. WOW! Keep them coming!!! Makes me want to hope on a plan to Soul. Thank you
Mark and Ying, Thanks for all your hard work to make these marvelous videos. I love ox tail soup, but I have only eaten it in Jamaica. They make it. really spicy and it is fabulous. I have never tried Korean food, but it looks so good.
I swear I can feel a slight taste of the food whenever Mark shows and eats it... Especially that fried chicken. Can't wait until you show us up South, heard there are a lot of great places there!
It is because cow has just one tail. haha. Koreans generally don't eat cow tail soup often because It is an expensive meal. But it tastes good. If you cannot afford 18$ for a good meal, I recommend you SeolLeongTang (cow meat + noodle soup 6~11$) , GalBiTang (cow ribs soup 7~12$) , GamJaTang (chilly pig bone soup with potato 5$~7$) and SamGyeTang (korean chicken soup with ginseng 7~10$ )
The reason why I love Mark so much is that he has a such a gentle soul. This is core reason why I can still can watch him. Go, Mark. .
Gentle oe fake, it's he's job

I swear I can feel a slight taste of the food whenever Mark shows and eats it... Especially that fried chicken.
Can't wait until you show us up South, heard there are a lot of great places there!
Thanks Alex!
18$ for a soup?!
Seriously?
Do I look like Scrooge Mac Duck?
But the video is entertaining though.
It is because cow has just one tail. haha. Koreans generally don't eat cow tail soup often because It is an expensive meal.
But it tastes good. If you cannot afford 18$ for a good meal, I recommend you SeolLeongTang (cow meat + noodle soup 6~11$) , GalBiTang (cow ribs soup 7~12$)
, GamJaTang (chilly pig bone soup with potato 5$~7$) and SamGyeTang (korean chicken soup with ginseng 7~10$ )
Crassus
thanks =)
It's not the kind of soup you might be thinking.
Brian Y.
maybe =/ But I think a piece of meat (not ecspecially a good part of the animals body for my taste) for that price is not justified.
In Japan there is also the no tip culture, I know it. But still, ox tail doesn't sound so delicious to me, to pay 18$ for it
great video mark love seeing all the new food
I thought the thumbnail was an old woman shoving her arm into Mark's throat
Wow! The hanchu fried chicken makes my mouth watering !! Awesome vid, Mark!!
